Scirocco begs forgiveness, “BLESS ME FATHER FOR I HAVE SINNED.”

One of the more interesting moments last night was watching the interaction between Skip Scirocco and the other Republicans at the Holiday Inn. It was no secret that only hours before Scirocco had stood on the corner of Broadway and Church waiving signs ALONG SIDE of Ron Kim and the Unions, his immediate family had also campaigned for Kim and his lingering stares and little winks to Kim had long been a stable and fodder for jokes at Council meeting. Now there he was the prodigal son returning to ask forgiveness from the iconic long time leader of the Grand Old Party and Chairman of the Saratoga County Republican Committee Jasper Nolan. Seeking to kiss the hand that he had betrayed only hours earlier. Jasper who has always been a decent man and who has mellowed considerably in old age welcomed Scirocco back to the fold. But a word of warning Jasper once a snake always a snake and if Scirocco feels the winds blowing away from the GOP, Scirocco’s loyalty will disappear into thin air. One can only wonder if Scirocco will have the audacity to hire some of the hard core remnants of the DFC in public works. We will have to wait and see.

Kim stayed classless to the bitter end last night refusing to take any blame for his loss or credit Johnson for his win. Blaming his entire defeat on Johnson’s ability to outspend him. Memo to KIM: YOU LOST NOT BECAUSE OF YOUR LACK OF MONEY, BUT BECAUSE OF YOUR LACK OF IDEAS

On a lighter note what are the odds of Kim going to the Council meeting tonight? Fifty fifty?

Scirocco used the excuse that he was the end result of endless experimentation from an older brother and several older cousins, it’s always worked for him.

If Kim is giong to blame his loss on being outspent, how does he explain Jon Corzine losing in NJ after outspending Christie 5 to 1? It ain't the money, it's the man

the guy got 75% of the vote, i don't think he needs either party or individual douchbag

Kim was equally classless at the Democrats' gathering at the Inn at Saratoga.

The three DFC candidates all got up to make their concession/apology speeches....and then they all LEFT the room while Frank and Joanne were given a chance to speak immediately after.

I heard there was a little dustup as well? If so, that would have taken place after I left, for i did not witness it.

It would appear that the boil on the arse of the city has been lanced, painful yes but necessary for the health of the city. Now let us be vigilant to make sure the infection does not return.

Anonymous 10:40 PM What the fuck is your point.I'm Catholic Skippys Catholic and even Jasper is Catholic and you sir are a putz. The idiotic statements you wrote about Eddie was a cheap possibly racist remark whose only purpose was to illustrate that Eddie was a Brooklyn Jew running against a nice local Italian boy so don't piss down my leg and tell me its rainning.

An ugly scene at the Dem party, with Val Keehn and Ron Kim getting into that little dustup with that guy at the Inn.

Anyone know what that was all about?

I just signed up for a NXIVM session--and there was Team DFC all waiting in line, too! said...

Was that Ron Kim at Clancey's Tavern this morning, slugging down some ice cold Bud's to dull the pain?

No, I guess it wasn't. It was just me seeing things, from the overnight celebration of knowing we wont have the DFC nuts around anymore.

But now that I think about it: they at least made politics interesting!

Are those blanks stares your reaction to the election, or did you just come from a NXIVM class? said...

I snuck a camera into the Democrats for Change meeting last nite:

Here's the only pic I took before I was chased out:

I hope you were never a patient of an Army psychiatrist in Walter Reed. But then again it would explain a lot.
