Disturbing reports of multiple drivers in DPW losing their CDL’s in the last few months for DWI are making there rounds in the city. This along with the fact DPW will be collecting overtime all weekend in a “sand relay” that is basically a Christmas giveaway to the unions for there support of Scirocco, has city residents up in arms. Other reports state that drug testing has been practically suspended for the holiday season in order not to diminish DPW’s already depleted ranks. None of this bodes well for the upcoming winter season.
Can you tell me why someone who drives a truck for a living can get a DWI and keep their job or why a driver who caused an accident and was found by a court of law to be driving with “reckless disregard for the safety of others” can still be seen behind the wheel of a truck?
Time to get your head out of your ass Scirocco. They are your employee’s not your friends. I understand Finneran and Benton are enrolled in Chauffeur's Training School (CTS) but hiring a few broken down political cronies won’t solve the problem

Best picture of Scirrocco I've ever seen,great archival work.I would think skippy would be courting finneran to become a republican,after all she has no job,she could always write a gossip column for the RAG,or help that twerp berstein.
Guess that explains why the 'pick up sticks' crew driving around like a bunch of maniacs on Sunday evening at 7:00 pm are no where to be seen anymore. Two buckets of leaves have been sitting at the curb for 4 or 5 days now. Used to be picked up in 15 minutes - 30 minutes on a bad day.
Skippy says he'll be looking for ways to trim his budget for 2010...well he could have started yesterday but instead he had the crews out at time and a half picking up leaves when he had all week to do it! During these times of budget retriants what's he doing? HE'S using taxpayers dollars to pay back the unions for their endorsement that's what he's doing,his top priorty for 2010 will be to find a way to make his son a permanment employee in DPW,remember he campaigned against nepotism,another lie.The truth is,the fiscal conservative thinking Ivins, Johnson,Wirth,don't need to be in bed with this Kim sympathizer who is showing he has no regard for the already over taxed residents of Saratoga Springs.
