A question has arisen is this a forum for serious discussion or just a pile on Ron? Well it’s a bit of both. I welcome sincere constructive discussion BUT for that to take place there must be a reasonable expectation that it can be productive to the situation. First and foremost a person must have some respect for the integrity and honesty of ones opponents. You also have to have some amount of respect for them and their opinions even when they differ from yours based on the assumption that they believe their viewpoint is best for the city.
I can give no such assumption to Ron Kim and the DFC. There actions have perverted the Democratic Party in Saratoga. Their clownish and buffoonish behaviors make a mockery of the Democratic Party. The use of enemies’ lists and physical threats has no place in a modern Democratic Society. There will be no credible Democratic Party in this city until the Democratic Committee regains some integrity and leadership under the honest and sane members that are left on the Committee like Mary Zlotnick and from the only current elected Democratic officials John Franck and Johanne Yepsen. This is not about compromise and there is no reconciliation with these people. They simply lust for power and the only reasonable thing to do is to support Republican candidates if the very well being of the city is at stake. As much as I dislike Jim Tedisco as a politician I respect him as a decent man. Today I received an e-mail from a shocked member of the committee who told me the committee has sent out feelers for Val Keehn in a race against Tedisco. News like this just reinforces my opinion that no reasonable debate on the merits of this can be addressed. The idea of a political comeback by such a disgraced former Mayor is worthy of nothing but contempt and scorn. But as always people the choice is up to you if you want to attempt to discuss the merits of her candidacy go to it, but if you choose to mock the wisdom of this choice fine I only ask that your comments be laced with some humor and that no physical threats be made.

Well it certainly has been a busy few days here at Ben lives on. Seems the city has realized something I’ve know for a long time that Ron Kim is a deeply disturbed man. Hits to this blog have set a three day record unmatched even from before the election. The most interesting aspect of this has been the presence of government registered ip address’s checking in, including ip’s from Albany.state. Interesting stuff indeed. Tonight will mark Ron Kim’s last appearance on the City Council and that in itself will be worth the price of admission. Henceforth after tonight he will be cosigned to the peanut gallery where he can line up behind David Bronner for the public comment period if he would like to speak. Welcome to the peasant section Ron where you will find the wooden benches are a tad harder than the plush leather chair your ass has become so attached to. I will be at the meeting tonight and will have my take on the preceding posted by midnight and a memo to Bernstein any reporter who had on ounce of investigative instincts would have at least asked a few questions about what transpired at the Saratoga Democratic meeting Saturday morning. OH SILLY ME I forgot Bernstein's real job is Press secretary for Ron Kim. Your job is to keep this thing quiet. Tell me what is the going rate of ones soul these days?

No constructive suggestion? The consensus throughout this blog and isaratoga both seem to be that the DFC influence has to be eliminated from the organization if it has any chance of surviving. It's been repeated here and if we can believe what we read it was also suggested up at the meeting on Sunday.

Or is such a constructive suggestion not exactly what you had in mind?
What'd you want t hear: we need to get our message out there better next time? We need Val back? We need Shawnie Boy? We need a new nipple-suck job for Eileen and Lew? We need more adult diapers and Kool Aid? We need tuiton money for our nxivm classes?

The problem I have with Ron Kim is his actions show either a lack of judgment or a lack of mental stability. I don’t blame him for attacking John Tighe. God knows he asked for it. I have a problem with the timing and the location of the attack. He chose a PUBLIC LIBRARY. The attack took place in front library patrons including children. Either Kim carefully chose that location to be out of sight of other committee members and Andrew Bernstein in a calculated move or he was so far out of control to not care that children and their parents would be exposed to his outburst. Now normally none of this would matter because he will be out of office in 16 days. Unfortunately nothing about this situation is normal. Kim will be appointing an Assistant Chief, Captain, lieutenant and sergeant. I really don’t think that a man who has recently shown himself to be at best deranged and at worst a Machiavellian bastard should be choosing anyone for anything.

In regards to the first three comments on this post: As I left the meeting, I saw Commissioner Kim talking with "anonymous" blogger John Tighe.
I did not stay to eavesdrop, as I couldn't be less interested in whatever Tighe has to say to the Commissioner, so beyond the fact that I saw them talking, I cannot comment on the tenor of the exchange.
This was copied from Bernstein's blog.Of course he could care less.Anything that shows his man Ron in a less than favorable position is off limits to Kim spokesperson Bernstein.

Everyone should step back and have compassion for the fool Ron Kim. He can't help it if he was born an asshole. BTW He was just as bad a few years ago as a republican.
Bernstein will suffer greatly by the demise of the DFC. Let's face it they are wacked and what makes things worse is these other clowns(Tighe,Zlotnik,Boyd,McT's,Kuzinski's, and Klotz and his insane wife) that were rightly ousted last cycle think now they are fit to run things. Sorry, but you are bad for the city.
