Ron Kim the disgraced politician who will not go quietly into that good night is hell bent on causing as much trouble as possible on his messy search for the exit door. The ugly truth about the supposed selfless retirements of Fire Chief Cogan and Police Chief Moore is being revealed as nothing more than a cheap political stunt. According to the TU

Ron Kim is claiming The Emperors Right to choose Cogan’s and
Of all the pompous egotistical displays of arrogance I have ever heard of, this takes the cake. I am sure Andrew Bernstein will be at the ceremony to hold Kim’s robe or something.
Who ever Kim picks by law will be a probationary appointments and Wirth will be legally able to replace these Chief Wannabies. Leave it to the SSPD and SSFD to stick their finger in their own eye and piss off your new boss. Never has one group of people let by incompetents with no management skills destroyed two fine Departments in such a short period of time. In the full measure of time the Axis of fools Kim, Moore and Cogan will go down in the history of this town as the worst leaders it ever had.

I guess that's why all the cops live in Wilton?
So let me get this straight, the 2 Chiefs are retiring - one at Christmas and the other "some other day" and the lame duck Commissioner wants to appoint upwards, two new chiefs -- giving the City 4 Chiefs to pay for. Now how does that save jobs let alone Budget money? We were 7 men down with only the Chief 1 and Chief 2. Maybe we need to put 10 men on furlough to compensate for the added benefit packages that would go into effect on the 25th and on “some other day”.
Someone tell Bernstein that this is about saving money and not saving jobs.
We will move into town in early spring to set up stakes in the heart of downtown. The DBA will gladly pay us for protection, thus proving no need for these greedy bastards who call themselves police officiers. We work cheaper than police and don't need no new station to keep us happy. We rule on the streets!
It's time for the city to get more service from the county and state police departments.
After all we do pay our share toward their services.
Moore took the entire summer off for vacation. The city got along without him just fine, we can get by without him for two weeks. This whole setup is more PBA and KIM bullshit
We are coming to have sex with your children and grandmothers, than we will teach your sons to sniff glue.Soon they will all be living under an overpass on the Northway. You have no SWAT team or mounted police you are doomed
Your presentation is a bit over the top humorous but over the top but it does illustrate a legitimate complaint that the police and fireman have engaged in fear mongering. All along they have been part of the problem who simply could not fathom that this time the city would not give into their selfish demands. Never once have they ever offered a realistic solution to the problem and went so far as to further alienate the taxpayers of the city by insinuating they were cheap and would simple would not pay there fair share. You played your hand and you lost, time to pay the pot let the layoffs begin.
Over the top, really? I thought considering the circumstances I was quite restrained.
Andrew Bernstein is at it again criticizing Wirth for daring to question Kim's ability to pick the new Chiefs.Earth To Bernstein why don't you just follow Kim around all day and fetch and clean his shoes.
Now why would a reporter "be critical" of an incoming Commissioner unless he was so corrupted by his own stripes, that he misses the point of journalistic objectivity? Isn’t it WORTHY NEWS that is fit to print and isn’t it good INVESTIGATIVE REPORTING that will keep the reader coming back for more?
If the outgoing Commissioner had an ounce of propriety, he would ask his elected replacement to be involved in his selection if only -- to appear to be above it all. But the man who would be mayor is so far down the rabbit hole that he doesn’t know which way is up or down. The tea party that has been going on for four years with the Queen and the mad hatter is about to end. Wake up Commissioner – it was all a bad dream.
While making out with an officier the other day I thought I was safe. He was so nice to me as he he gave me a ride on the horsey. Please, if only I could remember his name.
Hey Tighe! Where did you get that picture of the black guy? That looks an awful lot like the sex offender at the Terraces that does kick boxing.
Two of the three candidates for Chief of Police have not been active politically.
One of them - Captain Michael Biss - aided Richard Wirth's successful campaign for election as Public Safety Commissioner.
Which candidate do you think Wirth wants for Police Chief?
