Faced with impending layoffs and new full body scanning envelope detention scanners to thwart any more envelope throwing assassination attempts employee morale and sobriety has hit an all time low.
We sent our photographer to shoot some underground photos today and the results were shocking.
From the DPW mensroom. 
To the back entrance of City hall.
Our photographers have found that even employee pets are not immune from the general feeing of malaise in City Hall
One can only hope for a better new year.

Is Pat the organ grinder retiring from the deputy position? If so maybe Demroc will get the job. Who do you think ? I'm sure he would love to move up the ladder. He is the most vocal in Skippy's defense. Of course, he would have to compete with Finneran. She is trying to be the first deputy to do all 5 departments.

It is very sad and often tragic whenever anyone gets laid off. It's not like there are a lot of other jobs out there right now. It's too bad the unions were unable or unwilling to consider a small give back to save jobs.

The second picture is someone I used to date. He was blackballed by the McTygue faction and went down hill. Tommy had that effect on many employees in his department. His wife must be up for saint hood.
