One of our most vocal and irrational critics for years now has been technologically and cap lock impaired blogger demroc. Banned from most commercial web sites such as the Saratogian, demroc continued to post and to be ridiculed at blogs such as i-saratoga. The lone exception to this was the always Commissioner of Public Works Skip Scirocco friendly blog of the ex-political reporter of the Saratogiam Andrew Bernstein and his blog ‘City desk”. Bernstein loved Skip Scirocco and had even been seen tooling around Saratoga in Skip’s truck. Bernstein then went out of his way to give the ranting of demroc a forum on his blog and further went out of his way to unmask any other blogger who wasn’t as enthusiastic a supporter of Scirocco as he was. Still demroc was frustrated his voice wasn’t getting enough attention so he with all the technological skills of a kindergarten, set up his own blog as a one trick pony to bash one of Scirocco’s most know critics John Tighe.
We now know why, that’s his daddy.
Yes folks the author of “no truth in blogging” is Mark Scirocco son of Commissioner of Public Works Skip Scirocco. Seems when we attack daddy old Mark gets a little testy and writes his drivel. I have to wonder though as the learning disabled ,unemployed executive chef- intellectual demroc had some help setting up his little blog? Was it impartial reporter Bernstein? I don’t think Skippy himself had the slightest clue how to set it up but he must of approved it. In fact this could be the first hate blog with a Saratoga Springs City Council member as administrator. I wonder what the ethics committee would say about that?But in the end the worst thing about demroc is he is so boring and that is the greatest sin of all.

Mr. Mascarenhas has gone out of his way on several occasion to do some very nasty things to my family and my child and in no way has done anything to deflate the tension, but instead he has done several things to ramp up the tension. Including going down to the police station and insisting that they arrest me for harassment. All because he did the, tension deflating move, of calling the police station to come and ticket my car. When I asked him if this was getting a little out of hand, he went down to the sspd and embarassed himself by accusing Eileen Cotter of racism towards him because she told him that that wasn't harassment. He did not know that she is married to an african american with mixed race kids. Nor did he care, he was mad that she didn't do as he said, the same way he is mad at us because we didn't do as he said.
He has fostered an atmosphere of hate among the neighborhood kids by forbiding other kids to play with my kid and has taken verbal cheap shots at a 5 year old. Even sinking as low as to threaten to call the cops on him, simply because he asked if he could play with the other children, an utter heart breaking and infuriating moment. This has led to his kid and his friend bullying my kid, which at one point, resulted in physical violence against mine. My kid was so scared that he was going to be arrested, that everytime he would see Mike going by, he would mention being afraid of the cops and being arrested. One day, I explained to my son that the cops told Mike to act like a grown up and to stop using them, to get back at us over the garage and to not be afraid. He overheard this and exploded on me, in front of my 5 year old he called us white trash and losers. What a stand up guy. This resulted in me calling the cops on him, as was suggested by the police, where a police report exists of the whole situation and was also overheard by the neigbors in the back. He was also beligerent to the officer who responded to the call and almost found himself in handcuffs. This is such a politically motivated stunt, that it puts the birthers to shame.
If you notice in the letter, this was in November, My father had not yet taken office until January. Mike has beset upon a path of retribution and retaliation, so yes, when they say they write this story, that is exactly what it is, a story.
Did Scirrocco get laid off? Mark, that is. How about Cogan being effective in that deputy spot? Is this what you call double dipping? Didn't he retire? Can he collect from the pension fund and collect a city paycheck? Will some of the old timers still working be pissed about his appointment?
I also hear they want him on the Democratic committee.

Demroc has been guilty of some of the most libelous and obscene ranting on any web site in the state. Now we know these ranting came right from a sitting commissioners family. Commissioner of Public Works Skip Scirocco should ether condemn the writing of his son and publicly disavow any knowledge of his son’s involvement or be brought up an ethics violations and removed from office.
How much you bet Bernstein won't write a article publicity naming demroc as Mark Scirocco. See according to Andrew its alright to bash and lie and make up stories about FBI investigations as long as their name is McTygue, but wrong to criticize anyone he whose name is Skippy or Ronny .Thank god the hypocrite has been sent packing
As voters decide which candidates to vote for in the coming municipal elections we thought voters should be provided with as much information about their candidates as possible. Thus, we write this story not for personal vindication but public knowledge. We feel that both Republicans and Democrats would be concerned if their Public Works Commissioner used his public office for personal gain.
We moved to Saratoga Springs a couple of years ago when Mr. Scirocco was running for his first tenure as Public Works Commissioner. As new neighbors, we informed the Sciroccos that we would be applying to the Zoning Board for a variance to build an attached garage on our property. In the height of his campaign the Sciroccos endorsed (in writing) our proposal. However, after the election our neighbors changed their mind and spoke out against our proposal. Our first application was turned down.
Our second application, however, was approved with the condition that we submit an engineer-certified storm water management plan before constructing our one car garage. There were no guidelines provided by the Board as to what the plan should entail. The only condition was that the plan had to be approved by the city engineer, who reports directly to the Commissioner of Public Works – Skip Scirocco. According to our engineer, these plans are never required for small residential building applications because the impact is negligible. As such, our designer had never made such a plan before and when they sought advice from the city engineer, he could only provide examples of commercial plans. Furthermore, after our designer completed the plans, the city engineer did not return phone calls and did not provide any information about when the plans would be reviewed. All this time and effort for our designer (made no easier by no precedents) cost us more money and delayed our construction. When the evaluation and ultimate approval by the city engineer finally came, it clearly suggested that such a plan was not necessary in the first place.
These unnecessary demands had resulted in undue stress between the Sciroccos and us. In an effort to deflate the tension between us one of us spoke to Skip Scirocco. When our conversation turned to our garage application, Mr Scirocco stated “I could have stopped your garage if I wanted to, you know.” It was his sense of entitlement that we found most shocking. Rather than demonstrating his restraint, this confession struck us as a demonstration that Mr Scirocco felt he was entitled to the power to stop our garage for his personal reasons. In the same conversation he also mentioned that he had gotten his son a job in Public Works. Again, we suppose this is considered by Mr Scirocco to be an acceptable practice. For us his comments affirm the fact that he had used his political office for personal gain – in making our plans more difficult and costly and getting a family member a job – and he felt entitled to that power. We need people in public office that will not use their political position for their personal gain. Supporting records can be found at City Hall in the Department of Engineering.

What is going on here? Skippy is abusing his power? Look out! Tigho has struck a major nerve here. Until now I was trying to figure why a band would still call themselves Skippy and the Pistons when Skippy hasn't been in the band for 25-30 years. Did he pull something over on those members that continue to perform? Is he being paid off for his name rights? Envelopgate is small potatoes compared to this. It seems Skippy was dropped on his head long before he was wacked in the head by an envelop. Same reason the organ grinder Pat is bailing on him.
Is there any truth to the rumor of Corrine Scirocco and Donna Buckley fueding? The plot thickens! Boy, politics is nasty business. No real candidates will want to run knowing the abuse that comes with it.

But I also think that Skippy's wife does some of the writing........
