Holy data analysis Batman, throw that enormous list into an excel spreadsheet and see the reason Saratoga Springs is bankrupt.

130 Police and Fire public servants with a cost of salaries of $9,040,805 - that OVER NINE MILLION dollars PLUS BENEFITS - AND GROWING!!!!

Take out the 4 guys with the same duplicate salaries (thats weird)

Callahan, Christopher H $7,421
Phillips, Keith D $1,170
Nolan, Kurt D $7,421
Phillips, Keith D $1,170

and you have:

an average salary BEFORE benefits of $71,675. A maximum of $107,567 by Paul M. Veitch, and a minumum of $29,020 Steven E. Reside.

2 Public Servants - $20k - $30k
4 Public Servants - $30k - $40k
8 Public Servants - $40k - $50k
17 Public Servants - $50k - $60k
29 Public Servants - $60k - $70k
21 Public Servants - $70k - $80k
24 Public Servants - $80k - $90k
15 Public Servants - $90k - $100k
6 Public Servants - $100k - $110k

Now add in health insurance, sick time, vacation time, and pensions along with gas and service to keep all the police cruisers idling all day long with the AC or heat going and one can clearly see that this is NOT

SUSTAINABLE.

Time for the unions to be brought back in line, overtime managed MUCH more effectively, and some serious discussion on how many public servants it takes to keep us safe. I'm ALL for a good living wage and health care. BUT this is a complete joke.

Can't wait to see the cost of our highly incompetent paid professionals in City Hall.

BTW, how many freakin planners do we need. Birge has is incompetent hand in all things planning, PLUS two senior planners. Do we REALLY need a THIRD planner. Give me a break. Can we PLEASE have a discussion on this. In TEN YEARS I have only seen one of the senior planners ONCE. WTF do they do?

This ain't NYC.

Birge is not a planner. No degrees, no prior experience, no job description but he has two planners he supervises? He doesn'tn't pay taxes in the city. Male doesn't have anything to do or doesn't do anything. 1/4 million between them.

there's a secretary in accounts making $65,000 - these jobs need ceilings. YThis is ridiculous.

Someone has to look at these numbers and ask what the fuck?

What do they do?Basically they look at each other and say"can you believe it"

The Mayor is right about these contracts,They are the number1 problem facing the city

OMG I don't know how you got this but this is dynamite. A copy of this should be mailed to every city resident. This is one eye opener. How can the cops and firemen justify asking for a raise when you see this. They should have a moratorium on raises for the next 10 years till inflation catches up to their salaries. This is obscene. And don't give me the line that they put their lives on the line everyday. A lot of other workers in other jobs do too but don't get near this money. These contracts MUST be addressed. This City cannot blindly sell out its future.

My god when did these Lake Ave sleeping beauties start making this much money.

I notice that when I drink Bud I am pretty tired the next day. But with Coors, I am energetic. Why is that?

Now when I drink the end labels, I always take a healthy dump the next morning. I mean, I really wax those skis.

How about those Mets?

I don't have a problem with the salaries. I like to be protected. As for other workers putting their lives on the line, who? Hmmm wasn't the snow plow driver who got his throat cut by a crazy guy from 4 Winds. I don't think it was the Street Sweeper guy who runs into burning buildings. Look, if there is Overtime to fill a need, that is the price for doing business. The Fire Department has standards that they are mandated, such as minimum staffing. The Police have minimum staffing requirements also. They laid off Firefighters and Cops. Who do you think is going to make up for the loss. That's right, other people on overtime. But hey.Let's get that Recreation Center for the low Lifes at the Terrace built or maybe enclosed in plastic until the spring for 90,000.You can't violate labor-management items that are in place. As for cutting salaries,it's not going to happen. Other Police agencies will help out in an emergency but are not going to work in the city on a regular basis. Put it paid parking, charge a fee to park at the Racino. Try and charge SPAC and Live Nation a fee for when the Fire/EMS go into SPAC. This wonderful Mayor and Board took away K9 from the Cops. Who is going to do it now? The Sheriff and NYSP have their own problems. How about looking into some OBAMA money to pay for the Police/Fire so that we aren't burdened?
