Malcolm Brooks; Rest in peace

It has come to my attention at today’s funeral for Dick Brooks that many people were unaware of the tragic death of Dick’s popular brother Malcolm. Malcolm was loved by all whom knew him and his tragic and untimely death in a drowning accident in Florida robbed the world of a great musician and man.

Malcolm Thomas Brooks, 54, died April 5, 2010, in Stuart. He was born in Saratoga Springs, N.Y., and moved to Stuart 35 years ago. He was an independent contractor and worked primarily in the Loblolly community in Hobe Sound for 25 years. Survivors include his brother, Gary Brooks of Saratoga Springs; and sister, Denise Largen of Houston. Memorial contributions may be made to The Humane Society of Treasure Coast, 4100 S.W. Leighton Farm Ave., Palm City, FL 34990. SERVICES: Services will be at noon April 14 at Hobe Sound Public Beach. Arrangements are by Aycock Funeral Home, Stuart. An online guestbook is available at www.aycockfuneralhome.net.

Mal was a good egg. Spent many a times watching them jam. I still remember the keg parties and his speakers he would hook up to play music. Gary is also a good musician who, last I knew played up in lake placid.

So was the bitch Lombardo at the Funeral. I was hoping Dick's cold dead hand would of reached up from the grave and grabbed her by the throat.

Malcom's not Dick's brother, is he?

Yes he was.I was surprised myself, I thought he was Malcolm's nephew. He was a good 20 years younger and was the age of his daughter Kelli.
