First let me say what this is not, legal advice. I am not a lawyer nor am I giving legal advice. Any of you who are being sued should consult a licensed attorney. These are just my thoughts on what to do if you find yourself sued. If you think you might be sued but haven’t yet, talk to an attorney about asset protection.
First; oh wow you find yourself being served with papers from big BAD ATTORNEYS FOR NXIVM SAYING THEY ARE DEMANDING 65 MILLION FROM YOU.
First before you kill yourself ask the question. Do I have 65 million? No, well then they can’t have it, can they.
Next remember you are free. For what ever reason you have run afoul of this cult you have the one thing that Coffey and the Bronfman’s will never have, you are free. You have the piece of mind knowing whatever they get out of you, it will cost them much more.
First consider filing a counter-suit. Pick up the yellow pages, find a young hungry attorney looking to make a name for himself and willing to take a high risk case for the potential of a big payout from some deep pockets. Hell can’t find an attorney file your own counter-suit pro se. Hell it’ll be fun and cost them boatloads of cash. What the fuck you got nothing to lose.
Remember this isn’t the end of the world just a life change.
You know I was beaten half to death in a senseless act of street violence. I have been in a Coma, a wheelchair and had Catholic last rites. My wife was told to say goodbye to my ravaged carcass because I wouldn’t make it though the night. Guess what, still fucking here. So I tried and lost and they got a judgment against me for 100 million dollars at 12% interest a year. Bo ho see above, Do you have 100 Million they can take? This might be a stretch but I doubt it..
Collection of a debt is considered a civil matter. Therefore, a warrant for your arrest cannot be issued.
Remember this is a “CIVIL MATTER” If NXIVM wins a lawsuit against an individual, a judgment is recorded that legally acknowledges that the person owes the debt and is obligated to repay. As a result, NXIVM can garnish your wages and bank accounts and put a lien on your property. NXIVM won't be able to repossess or foreclose on your home or car. Unless you pay off the debt, the lien cannot be removed and unless the lien is removed, you will have difficulties selling your home. However, you cannot be taken to jail for not paying your debt.
Remember this is not legal advice and could or maybe wrong.
Unless you were foolish enough to drag your spouse into it, generally their wages are safe. And this isn’t the IRS or Child support so generally they can’t garnish more than 10% of your wages. Many curbs have been placed on abusive collection practices so feel free to file a complaint against them.No job,no income nothing to collect. Now some general thoughts that are not advice.
Never admit guilt, never apologize and remember you are morally right. Sure your credit will be shot to shit, but whose isn’t these days? Remember there is a whole industry built up around people with no credit, these days. Half my friends have various judgments against them. They sleep just fine and they still have their SOULS, something Keith Raniere will never have,

Limitations on Garnishments
Federal law limits garnishment from your paycheck(s) to a percentage of your "disposable earnings." This is your pay minus required deductions, like state and federal taxes and Social Security withholdings.

The sad reality is that parts of the justice system have already been compromised by NXIVM and the Bronfmans' money. So you can forget about Soares and Murphy getting involved. Ditto for parts of the federal system.
The good news is that there are still plenty of other agencies that, given NXIVM's widespread illegal activiites, already have open files on the cult. And don't rule out the possibility that as NXIVM continues to become a national story, people who are looking to make a name for themselves will turn their full attention to VanFraud and the Bronfman brats.
The fact that NXIVM is continuing to draw more attention to itself with all of its over-the-top lawsuits is what will eventually bring this whole sick circus to a halt. And won't that be a great day!

If you're thinking of taking an Executive Success Program ask yourself - why are all the former members in bankruptcy? Obviously, not very successful. Even if you don't believe this is a cult (it is) you certainly can understand something very simple. Bankruptcy is not a sign of "success."
Want to piss Coffey off and spend lots of Bronfman money? So NXIVM is about to sue you. Take a nice trip to Montréal, use your credit card so it is easy to trace. Now open up two foreign accounts.. Each one for a hundred bucks or so. I prefer Société Générale and Credit Suisse Group AG because they have a low minimum requirement to open. Now go outside and tear up your account records. When you lose your suit against NXIVM, Coffey will execute an asset search in which he will find your two mysterious foreign accounts and will demand that you turn over your account information. Now tell him to go fuck himself .Isn’t this fun? Now Coffey will spend literally thousands of dollars and hire foreign attorneys to seize your accounts. Then after spending upwards of 50 grand or so he will recover less than 200 bucks.
