So you are wondering what the DPW employees do all day, that is when they are not suing the city or painting road kill? Well at least one {city hall computer} is on my blog, in fact he or she visited my blog 55 times in the month of November and was on my blog just yesterday and today 13 hours 29 mins 47 secs. Yes I will be happy to turn these records over to any investigating agency.
Funny thing is Kyle they seem to have a special liking for you. Now in all honestly I don’t know which city hall computer is reading my blog, but if you pressed me for a guess I would say DPW Office Supervisor and President of the City Hall unit of CSEA union Kathy Moran (2009 salary $62,258). But that is only a guess.

Wonder how their time on your blog compares to time at porn sites.
I hear Skippy and Coffey are meeting for lunch to figure out what to do to you
I think Coffey is just happy Tighe is back writing about the City and not his employee the Cult. But I'm sure Coffey will still find away to bill the Bronfman's for something
It amazes me what a moron the guy is. At last night's meeting, it became apparent that he does not know the difference between the concepts of Revenues and Expenses
Well I know what one DPW crew is doing at work they are shoping at Walmart.
Two weeks ago tuesday at around 130 PM I saw truck #28 parked outside the garden entrance of walmart with the engine running.
In the drivers seat was SHELLY drinking something while watching me watch her, then she got on the phone and about 8 minutes later, out from the CLOSED garden center entrance comes this other woman CONNIE,she gets in and they put the petal to the metal and head towards the ice rink.
Last year I saw other DPW crews shoping the Xmass aisle at home depot,AND NO ONE CARES,thats what youre tax dollars do for you.
I'm glad you're back on Skippy's case. The CULT stuff was getting boring.
The 5:20 comment was from Steve Coffey.
For the record, you stated that you wouldn't share that info, and here you go posting it. It makes me nervous... if i check your blog at lunch at my work, and you decide you don't like that, is it going to end up on your blog? Does it matter who i work for?
Only if you work for Saratoga Springs City Hall. When someones stands in front of me and complains that they worked all day on paring the budget down and then I find them lurking on my blog for 16 or so hours I find that to be a bit annoying. Just like if I see a city truck shopping at walmart I would put that photo up. Cops{they have a separate ip address},state workers, private business might all have very good reasons to be here and I could care less. And remember my system only stores the last 500 entrees and with 2 to 3 thousand a day unless I save them they are gone forever and most places don't label their web address with a name so all I see is a number that means little to me.Hope that clears it up
I still don't like it... I could leave your blog up all day and hit F5 every hour to see what is new, and spend a total of 15 minutes actually reading your blog or comments. No offence, but there isn't enough new material on a day by day basis to spend that long actually reading your blog.
I'd be happy if Skippy was reading your blog, he may get an idea of what is going on in the city... it might take him a while to "get it"... so perhaps 13 hours is about right.
Either way, it makes me nervous that someday you'll search on my IP address and decide that whoever i work for doesn't want me educating myself on the decline of saratoga, and you'll post that i come read during lunch, and i'll need a donate button while i look for a new job. In the name of keeping your readers, you might reconsider the practice. I don't beleive you just happened to stumble upon the info... you must have looked through a lot of data to find that one of the IPs was a saratoga city IP...
For now i'm just glad it wasn't Me Ip...
Far be it for me to defend any politician or official, but they may have simply viewed this blog and then merely left the page open for all that time. I suspect this was the case you reported. My reasoning is that no government worker would ever spend that much time even at the job, let alone "working".
Also, John, armed with the ISP numbers of a computer, it is a pretty easy task to obtain the exact identity of the actual computer accessing your page. You don't need the accessing hardware's "name". The series of numbers alone is a unique identifier. There is no such thing as anonymity when touching a computer.
I would hope that the city has some kind of webmaster who would keep an eye on City property and its use.I have received serious death threats on this blog and will always keep some way to tract them.I would be crazy if I didn't. But trust me I use freeware and it lacks sophistication,if you are simply trying to scare people off this blog I assure you my hits are way up.
I seem to have hit such a nerve that a link on cragslist was flagged to this blog today after multiple {City Hall?}people complained{city workers?.It is back up by the way.
In case you wonder just how popular this blog is
Check Isaratoga{a great blog by the way} profile views 7000 or so for 5 years.I have over 18'000 in 13 months.Like or hate it people read it.
I read it.. i like it... i just won't read it from work again, which means i won't read it as often...
Keep on Bloggin'. I think you do good work... beter then most of the hacks at the saratogian, but they don't post IP numbers, so i'll read the comments there during lunch.
You just keep believing that.Andrew Bernstein fired reporter for the Saratogian outed my ip and name along with Jim Brophy. So what was our crime? We hurt his little feeling.I will never out anyone for busting my balls, hell might be my wife.
In fairness I can't imagine Pat Dogges ever doing what Bernstein did but Lombardo, thats another story.
Hey John,
Remember this summer when you posted pictures of city trucks parking in handicaped parking spots in front of city hall? well this past sunday I was eating at brugers and looking at the scafold job on city hall and noticed an F250 running with no one in it,my wife wanted to go to the toy store so I walked down to get a closer look sure enough it was parked in handicaped parking,we then walked down to talbots and shoped are way back toward brugers, only to find the truck still there with no one to be found, so basically the truck sat their for over an hour wasting fuel so some slacker would not have a cold truck to drive around.
I have also noticed that some new city trucks do not have numbers on them,,, are these the special people trucks? if so good try, anyone can tell their DPW because the three bobbleheads in the truck are all on their cell phones.
Also if you do not have a good BOOKIE YET,,, RUSSEL is now taking bets for the DPW just make sure he gives you a number to gamble with,,, and not your name DUHH,,, SKIPPY might figure it out AGAIN THIS YEAR
John,
How about giving Kathy Moran something better to do. We still haven't heard ANYTHING about the charges against SSPD officer Patrick Arpei, other then reports on here that he's still collecting a check. When you're looking to cut money from budget, it would seem that if stopped paying salary and benefits to an officer who is accused of harrassing citizens on the clock. It's not just a "he said - she said thing", the victim submitted 51 emails she recieved to support the claim. The question I have asked twice on the Saratogian, only to have my posts removed is, WHY HASN'T THERE BEEN AN INTERNAL HR INVESTIGATION INTO THIS? It seems that if they have written threats, we can make this a suspension without pay ATLEAST. We're not going to get the unions to ever give anything back, but there is no need to hand things to them. Perhaps if you could cruise out to Traver Rd, and get the copies of the arresting documents from the Wilton Town Court, you could FORCE the city to shed some light on this.
I am HONORED to be Skip's almost-favorite cyber*read, second only to "My Little Pony." But in all honesty, I suspect mischievous MARK has been let in for some computer time ever since his home service was terminated on April 8. Well, that was the date of the last post on his blog, a rambling attack on me that "discovered" that Tighe and York are one-and-the-same. You can read the "no truth" gem because it hasn't changed a byte in 238 days. Still posted, frozen in time.
MORE evidence mounts as we recently witnessed the return of on-line pundit demroc-- HEEEEE'S BACK!!!!! After months without access to a keyboard, perhaps a City Workstation was where he crafted his rambling response to PATRICK H. DONGES... a NEW VICTIM!!!!!--

Welcome back Mark!
Just be sure to turn off the lights before leaving the building. Gotta’ watch that budget…

Bernstein was fired? Why?
And on the IP addresses...that's a slippery slope. Web browsers aren't what they were 10 years ago. Normally when I'm at work, I've got about 10 tabs open. Nine of them are for work I'm actively doing, while a 10th is something I keep open for when I take a break. I eat at my desk, so I never take the half-hour set aside during an eight-hour shift, so if I feel like checking scores or reading a blog to release brain pressure, so be it. I've worked at places that have tried to ban personal use most unsuccessfully. Besides, most phones today are portable computers anyway. Either have a worker surf the net at a desk or on an extended bathroom break. You choose.
Bernstein was fired for running the sports department into the abyss. His successor, only a couple months into the job, just gave his notice to Lombardo. Must be fun working for that clueless bitch and the blowhard publisher Mike O'Sullivan.
