Steve Coffey hypocrite.

Well first let me say I’m sorry. A reliable source told me that Fred Dicker of Talk 1300 radio would be asking Steve Coffey about Roger Stone, Wikileaks and hate blogs on his radio show Thursday morning. Unfortunately while they did talk about the despicable Roger Stone the other subjects weren’t broached. By now readers of this blog should be aware that Roger Stone in the service of Kristen Davis, the Anti-Prohibition Party candidate for Governor, put out this flyer against Libertarian Party gubernatorial candidate Warren Redlich. Now the truth is neither one of these two candidates had a chance to do anything in the election that is any more than drawing a few percentage points of the vote total. But that didn’t stop slime ball Stone calling Redlich a dangerous baby fucker. Why, because Stone enjoys destroying people. Roger Stone made peace with his inner scumbag a long time ago, which makes him a useful weapon for people like politicians and yes NXIVM. See while Stone knows he’s a piece of shit, seems people like Coffey who likes to hide behind a cloak of respectability hasn’t come to terms with the fact that he and Stone are two turds in the same toilet.
Look Steve both your rainmaking sugar daddy {NXIVM} and your pal Bruno have hired Stone to do their dirty work. Roger Stone the former state GOP functionary threatened Eliot Spitzer's family on behalf of Bruno and was procuring money for Bruno and pals from his other employer, NXIVM. Stone, while being paid by NXIVM, funneled at least $20,000 to the state GOP and Bruno in particular.

So before you go on Fred Dicker’s show and shake your head and exclaim “I’m shocked, shocked that people like Stone would ever do such a thing”. Your clients and your friend’s hired this human piece of shit, and then your clients told the State Police that I was going to “poison the drinking water at Silver Bay and commit a terrorist act.”

Really Steve you two are the opposite sides of the same coin. But hey you’re both rich, right Steve?

When lawyers are admitted to the bar, the oath they take requires them to represent the interests of their clients regardless of how despicable they might be or even if the attorney knows the client is guilty. That is how our legal justice system's adversarial system is designed. Every party is offered the best possible representation.

Even the most reprehensible organizations like NXIVM and disgusting individuals like Raniere deserve fair representation.

What do you learn there? How to get mind-fucked so you can repetitively repeat joyful jargon, keep coming back for more and waste more of your money so some freak can pretend he's a important for a moment and get off with as many women as he can pretending they are "the one"?

Hey John, can you possibly post a list of all the NXIVM inner core members, and any important VIP members who still remain in the cult. Perhaps make a list of people and what rankings they hold with sash color and stripes? Also if known, how much estimated money they've spent on it. It would be really interesting to know. Also, can you list the nine members who left and what their previous rankings were? Thanks.

After finding your blog (a lot of post-Vanity Fair Googling brought me here) and reading the posts about these people...
WOW.

I'm ready to take a field-trip from Michigan to eat at their creepy cafe place and try in vain for a Bronfman sighting... is it the weirdly malleable ex-nurse of highly questionable ethics and self-esteem issues or the narcissistic sociopath who live at Sara's NYC apt.? By the way- I love that they actually call themselves 'Family', capital-F in true Charles Manson style. Whether it's in six months, a year or five, these people WILL go down.

Bookmarked and will be regularly returning for NXIVM (I just cannot with that name) BULLSHIT...great site

These power brokers use tax dollars and make laws all for their own benefit and the benefit of their friends.

Cuomo is back up on his white horse playing white knight again with Ratner maybe he can find time to clean up the NXIVM mess.

In yet another somewhat related New York State Scandal....

From the Village Voice:

"We got yet another fascinating look inside the Albany favors factory yesterday when Andrew Cuomo released his latest revelation in the state pension fund scandal. Pat Lynch, the uber-lobbyist and close friend and ally of Sheldon Silver, was slapped with a half-million-dollar fine and banned from knocking on the door of the state comptroller for further business. For Albany insiders, this is big news since Lynch is a major player in state government.

"But for those of us on the outside looking in, what's much more fascinating about the settlement deal Cuomo uncorked yesterday is that it shows that even mighty Hollywood can be reduced to petty favor swapping when Albany's chieftains bark.

"Start at the top: Here's powerful lobbyist and former top Assembly executive Pat Lynch back in 2004 with a client looking to do business with the state's $140 billion pension fund (who wouldn't?). And here's the gatekeeper to state comptroller Alan Hevesi, a scurvy little political hack from Queens named Jack Chartier. Chartier is hopelessly in love with former TV starlet Peggy Lipton (who wouldn't?). Chartier asks Lynch to get one of her clients to hire Lipton's daughter.

"At this point, you might guess that Kidada Jones, the lovely daughter of Lipton and music genius Quincy Jones, would end up working for some smarmy mega-health care firm totally dependent on the largesse of the state legislature. Wrong, wrong, wrong.

"The client Lynch taps for the favor is one of Hollywood's gold-plated concerns, the Walt Disney Company of Burbank, California. At the time, Disney was paying Patricia Lynch Associates $10,000 a month to represent it before all "legislative and administrative branches" of state government."

Read the rest here:

http://blogs.villagevoice.com/runninscared/2010/12/the_peggy_lipto.php

**************************************
Why does this matter?

Peggy Lipton and daughter are members of the Siddha Yoga cult which has many famous members Meg Ryan, Raul Julia, John Denver, Phylicia Rashad, Don Johnson, Melanie Griffith, and Marsha Mason many more.

These people have lots of money and gurus and politicians want that money. These types were all recently lauded and wined and dined at the White House. Their so called spiritual beliefs matter. Don't think they will be trying to position there favorite guru favorably?

One member of Lipton's cult was instructed to get a job in the upper levels of the Bush administration. Cults crave power just like pols. And with lots of money and egos that need massaging cults deliver. Look how the Bronfman girls cannot let go of Raniere. They are hooked.

One thing to say in favor of our governor elect, he doesn't need a guru to tell him how great he is, he does that everyday all by himself!

NXIVM has a whole lot more political connections, including the following:
- David Soares, the Albany County DA who allowed NXIVM to place Kristin Keefe, a high-ranking NXIVM operative, in his office and then allowed her to make copies of evidence that he had obtained via Grand Jury subpoenaa and to give those copies to NXIVM's outside attorneys in a civil matter
- Jim Murphy, the Saratoga County DA who, at the direction of Joe Bruno, attempted to have another "enemy" of NXIVM indicted by two other County DAs - and who is currently conducting a "criminal investigation" of the 9 women who broke away from NXIVM in April 2008 (He was also involved in the attempt to indict one of Barbara Bouchey's former employees while she was still with the cult)
- Former U.S. Senator Alphonse D'Amato, whose lobbying firm, Park Strategies, was hired by NXIVM to help the cult gain access to various federal officials
- Former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, who was asked to help make Vanguard's prior CBI-related problems in Arkansas disappear
- Hillary Clinton, who now has Nurse Nancy on an exclusive list of people with whom she regularly has "power lunches"
- Former NYS Senator Joe Bruno, who got free rides on the Bronfman brats' airplanes - and personal EMs from Nurse Nancy (He also got some free "happy endings" massages from one of NXIVM's masseuses)
- Richard Mayes, BFF of Hillary and Bill Clinton and now connected to Obama
- Roger Stone, who helped NXIVM established linkages with various Republican officials
- Steve Bogess, a former top aide of Senator Joe and the "go between" for many of his political deals
- Jack Casey, former Chair of the Republican party in Rensselaer County and former Parliamentarian for the NYS Senate when Senator Joe ran the show there (Casey has appeared as one of NXIVM's attorneys in the local bankruptcy court whenever Judge Littlefield needs to be reminded who it was that put him on the bench)
- Steve Pigeon, who serves as counsel to the current head of the NYS Senate
- Valerie Keehn, former mayor of Saratoga Springs and a NXIVM Coach

And on and on......................

@9:18 a.m. re: "Every party is offered the best possible representation." Need to add, "that they can afford." Case in point: "NXIVM vs. Susan Donnes." NXIVM is represented by three law firms billing in the $500 to $800 per hour range. Donnes is in pro se or representing herself with no prior legal experience. (And don't think those prestigious NXIVM law firms don't carry weight with the court, ALTHOUGH one firm quit NXIVM after it was found NXIVM lied to them and the court.) Note also that:

- NXIVM forced Donnes into bankruptcy and poverty. (Donnes labored for them for a near decade, building a NXIVM center with her own credit and left abruptly for moral reasons without severance when the cult leader confessed to "having people killed.") NXIVM also refused to pay Donnes commissions due to her and accused her of extortion for requesting that payment.

- NXIVM entered Donnes' bankruptcy at literally the 11th hour (actually the 10th hour, 2 hrs. before it was to be finalized), plastering the court with demands for restraining orders silencing Donnes re; THE KILLING CONFESSION, etc.

- Donnes had less than a week to rebut and seek pro bono, any counsel on her behalf.

And, if by "best possible representation" you mean lawyers may lie for their client or conceal fraud from the court that is often the case, has in fact occurred in the NXIVM/Donnes case, but is NOT LEGAL. Look up attorney codes of conduct and discipline.

Donnes, a former military commander, deserves 4 stars for defending the justice system NXIVM and it's corrupt counsel is making a mockery of.

Sara needs to vet her gurus better:

Re: Trungpa Rinpoche

"In l970, when he was thirty-one, he came to the United States and helped to found Colorado's Naropa Institute. Suitably attired in mufti, he smoked, observed no dietary restrictions, drank constantly - even to the point of coming to class inebriated while continuing to drink as he lectured - and "ingested psychedelics". He also engaged in "sexual relationships, apparently with students of either sex."

"The Naropa Institute embodies a feudal, priestly tradition transplanted to a capitalistic setting. The attraction it has for its adherents is oddly reminiscent of the attraction the aristocracy had for the rising middle class in the early days of capitalistic expansion. These middle-class children seem drawn irresistibly not only to the discipline involved but also to the trappings of hierarchy... "If there is a compassion at work here, as some insist, it is so distant, so diminished, so divorced from concrete changes in social structure, that it makes no difference at all... Behind the public face lies the intrigue and attitude of a medieval court."

We shall not have to look far to see the parallel between the occult, aristocratic
Citing the personal testimony of poet W.S. Merwin as provided in B. Miles' Ginsberg: A Biography, Feuerstein relates the experience of this poet and his wife when, in l975, they arrived at Naropa to study Vajrayana Buddhism with Trungpa.

A "Halloween party" was being held with masked guests who were invited to disrobe and become as naked as Trungpa was. Those who declined to remove their clothes were "assisted" to disrobe by Trungpa's guards.

Merwin and his wife, appalled by this conduct, returned to their room intending to pack and leave. Trungpa summoned them to return and when they refused, he imperiously ordered his disciples to fetch them.

A group, drunk and violent, went to their room, broke down the door, smashed a window; and, after some hand-to-hand combat, dragged the poet and his wife "none too gently, before the Tantric master."

Trungpa insulted Merwin's oriental wife with racist remarks and threw a glass of sake in the poet's face. He demanded that they disrobe and when they refused, he had them forcibly stripped. When one of his disciples protested this treatment, Trungpa punched him in the face.

If this were not enough of an assault on Buddhism, and it certainly should have been, Trungpa appointed Osel Tendzin as his successor in l976. We can conclude this regrettable chapter in Naropa's history by referring to a March 6, l989 Newsweek article: Tendzin (American Thomas Rich of Passaic, New Jersey) "acknowledged that he contracted the AIDS virus four years ago but continued to have sex with some male members of the church." Newsweek quotes him as confessing to his congregation, "Thinking that I had some extraordinary means of protection, I went ahead with my business as if something would take care of it."

The protection that Osel Tendzin assumed he had involved "controlling" his "karma", a prophylactic technique that at the very least he should have shared with the Center for Disease Control. There are so few laughs to be gained at the expense of AIDS.

With alcoholism and AIDS respectively, Chogyam Trungpa and Osel Tendzin paid with their lives for their errors. The harm they did to others is beyond calculation. Aside from those persons who were led into disease, death, alcohol and drug abuse, or who were spiritually raped by having been sexually plundered, virtually no Buddhist teacher in Christendom has escaped the awkward necessity of having to answer questions about this well-publicized scandal.

On the subject of schools and critical thinking said...

Just found this advertisement for an upcoming event at the Metropolitian Museum sponsored by director David Lynch to promote Transcendental Meditation in New York City schools.

http://www.dlfprojects.org/met/

As you look at the venue and the celebrities who have or will appear or perform, (Ringo Starr, Paul McCartney -just honored at the White House) wager you anything you will feel the tug of credibility for this effort. You may think, 'Why if they are into it, it has to be good.'

Lynch has a foundation to teach kids in schools to practice Trancendental Meditation. A highly dubious practice with many critics, victims and survivors to tell the truth about what really goes on.

When wealthy celebrities tout this stuff as a panacea for poor inner city children it just galls me. So the kids learn to fly around in lala land, become dissociative, blissed out, susceptible to manipulation by the organization.

Whatever those at the top say about all this, it just does not work that way in the lower ranks. These kids will not have the support of all that money to take care of the fallout from these practices.

There simply is no easy path to anything in life. Life is difficult. Remaining conscious is absolutely necessary to coping with reality.

As it is Lynch is a two pack a day smoker. Think TM is working for him?

There is so much evidence of the harm done by this kind of mind control, yet the glitterati sell it to children. Very depressing.

The upper crust,(the Bronfmans will surely attend) will all show up to prance around in their finery to support it. They could make a real difference if they put the money spent on this on real help like improving housing and schools.

This is just a massive ego trip for Lynch and company. This is Raniere's ambition on steroids.

In another comment I will post just one expert's view of this kind of mind control. There is a lot more to find about the harm inflicted by TM and its dubious work if interested online.

The ad for the event at the Met says there is all kinds of scientific evidence of the value of this, but they reference none whatsoever. Complete BS of the highest caliber.

From a cult survivor said...

So what's wrong with TM and it's clones? Here's one article:

DR. ROBERT J. LIFTON'S CRITERIA FOR THOUGHT REFORM (Chapel Hill, 1989)

Any ideology -- that is, any set of emotionally-charged convictions about men and his relationship to the natural or supernatural world -- may be carried by its adherents in a totalistic direction. But
this is most likely to occur with those ideologies which are most sweeping in their content and most ambitious or messianic in
their claim, whether a religious or political organization. And where totalism exists, a religion, or a political movement becomes
little more than an exclusive cult.

Here you will find a set of criteria, eight psychological themes against which any environment may be judged. In combination, they create an atmosphere which may temporarily energize or exhilarate, but which at the same time pose the gravest of human threats.

1. MILIEU CONTROL

The most basic feature is the control of human communication within and environment if the control is extremely intense, it becomes
internalized control -- an attempt to manage an individual's inner communication control over all a person sees, hears, reads, writes
(information control) creates conflicts in respect to individual autonomy.

Groups express this in several ways: Group process, isolation from other people, psychological pressure, geographical distance or unavailable transportation, sometimes physical pressure often a sequence of events, such as seminars, lectures, group encounters, which become increasingly intense and increasingly isolated, making it extremely difficult-- both physically and psychologically--for one to leave.

The group's controlling and manipulative influences. Once a person has experienced the totalist polarization of good/evil black/white thinking), he has great difficulty in regaining a more balanced inner sensitivity to the complexities of human morality.

The radical separation of pure/impure is both within the environment (the group) and the individual ties in with the process of confession -- one must confess when one is not conforming.

CONTINUED IN NEXT COMMENT See from a Cult Survivor

more from a cult survivor said...

DR. ROBERT J. LIFTON'S CRITERIA FOR THOUGHT REFORM (Chapel Hill, 1989) Continued...

4.CONFESSION

Cultic confession is carried beyond its ordinary religious, legal and therapeutic expressions to the point of becoming a cult in itself. Sessions in which one confesses to one's sin are accompanied by patterns of criticism and self-criticism, generally transpiring within small groups with an active and dynamic thrust toward personal change
is an act of symbolic self-surrender, makes it virtually impossible to attain a reasonable balance between worth and humility.

A young person confessing to various sins of pre-cultic existence can both believe in those sins and be covering over other ideas and feelings that s/he is either unaware of or reluctant to discuss.

Often a person will confess to lesser sins while holding on to other secrets (often criticisms/questions/doubts about the group/leaders that may cause them not to advance to a leadership position)- "the more I accuse myself, the more I have a right to judge you"

5. SACRED SCIENCE

The totalist milieu maintains an aura of sacredness around its basic doctrine or ideology, holding it as an ultimate moral vision for the ordering of human existence.
Questioning or criticizing those basic assumptions is prohibited.

A reverence is demanded for the ieology/doctrine, the originators of the ideology/doctrine, the present bearers of the ideology/doctrine offers considerable security to young people because it greatly simplifies the world and answers a contemporary need to combine a sacred set of dogmatic principles with a claim to a science embodying the truth about human behavior and human psychology

CONTINUES see 'yet more from cult survivor'

yet more from a cult survivor said...

6. LOADING THE LANGUAGE

The language of the totalist environment is characterized by the thought-terminating cliche (thought-stoppers) repetitiously centered on all-encompassing jargon -"the language of non-thought"

Words are given new meanings -- the outside world does not use the words or phrases in the same way -- it becomes a "group" word or phrase

7.DOCTRINE OVER PERSON

Every issue in one's life can be reduced to a single set of principles that have an inner coherence to the point that one can claim the
experience of truth and feel it.

The pattern of doctrine over person occurs when there is a conflict between what one feels oneself experiencing and what the doctrine or ideology says one should experience.

If one questions the beliefs of the group or the leaders of the group, one is made to feel that there is something inherently wrong with them. To even question -- it is always "turned around" on them and the questioner/criticizer is questioned rather than the questions answered directly.

The underlying assumption is that the doctrine/ideology is ultimately more valid, true and real than any aspect of actual human character or human experience and one must subject one's experience to that "truth".

The experience of contradiction can be immediately associated with guilt. One is made to feel that doubts are reflections of one's own evil when doubt arises, conflicts become intense

8. DISPENSING OF EXISTENCE

Since the group has an absolute or totalist vision of truth, those who are not in the group are bound up in evil, are not enlightened, are not saved, and do not have the right to exist "being verses nothingness"

Impediments to legitimate being must be pushed away or destroyed. One outside the group may always receive their right of existence by joining the group.

Fear manipulation -- if one leaves this group, one leaves God or loses their transformation, for something bad will happen to them. The group is the "elite", outsiders are "of the world", "evil", "unenlightened", etc.

*******************************************

The paradox, contradictions in life which each of us must bear do not arrange themselves so we can feel good all the time. This is a valley of tears, pretending otherwise is a big mistake.

There is simply no easy answer to life's difficulties. TM is BS top to bottom. Sure you can zone out on it. But so what? TM has no real scientific evidence that it improves anyone’s life as they claim, but it has made some very rich.

Thank you again John for creating this space to expose such deceit. Has everything to do with politics and power. It is also a place for me to heal from my own experience. These practices are not what they are cracked up to be, but the are C R A C K E D!

This cult seems to be a diseased acorn: on the outside, the shell of many decent people looking outward mask the rotten inner core. Only the few who don't have their backs turned and haven't been brainwashed, or those who can see through the facade to the inside of the shell know the truth. Despite illusory projections to the contrary, this cult teaches nothing but moral relativism, cloaking it with the guise of a transparent claim of "critical" thinking, exposing nothing but a self-defined elitims. I despise this cult for these reasons stated and more personal ones that need not be.

ESP do not understand morality or where it comes from said...

Receieved a newsletter today that got me thinking about what absolute crap NXIVM spews:

From NXIVM website on World Ethics:

"Is it possible, then, that we can utilize our minds to transcend the chains to the body so that the mind becomes the true master? If so, we could forge a noble existence and create a society that is civilized both internally and externally. Then, and only then, could we advance the culture of the world and have a world ethics.

Never before has mankind had the procedural understanding or the tools to make the triumph of the mind over the body possible - at least, not until now.

NXIVM represents the possibility for this victory. So the question isn't whether world ethics is possible or not, but rather: is the human race up to the challenge?"

**************************************

However scientists who study these things blow full bore holes in this crapola:

From the newsletter

"An interesting finding that has been popping up in the literature in various forms is the idea of some sort of moral equilibrium, such that people like to be at a minimal level of feeling morally good about themselves, and once they've reached that level, they're content to stay there.

"So just like embodied factors such as how clean or how disgusted I feel at the moment, how morally good I feel about myself can change my judgments and behaviors.

"The "the moral licensing effect" suggests that if I'm reminded that I'm a pretty good person, that I do good things, that I have positive qualities and so on, then I'm less likely to help another person than somebody who was not previously reminded of their positive qualities, and who has some self-doubts."

"Basically, once I've affirmed the fact that I'm a pretty decent person, then that's it, then I am perfectly content, whereas if I feel inferior on a moral level, then I want to help others, and do good things. It's quite powerful to think that people have this sense of a moral equilibrium that they want to reach, but then also not go beyond, or not drop below, and this may have really important implications for why people do good things, why they fail to do good things, why they do bad things, and so on.

"Again, it goes back to the idea that even though we think that rational considerations are behind our thoughts and actions, they might in fact be due to factors we’re not even aware of."

One thing i hate more than cults is dirty (basically all) politicians. I would love to see the proof of these connections.

TO: ANON 9:52 AM

REST ASSURED...DOCUMENTATION EXISTS FOR EACH OF THOSE "POLITICAL CONNECTIONS" - AND IT HAS ALL BEEN PASSED ALONG TO THE ONE GOVERNMENTAL ENTITY THAT SEEMS TO HAVE AVOIDED BECOMING ENSNARED WITH NXIVM. TIME WILL TELL...

Tick tock, Tick tock, VanFraud. The circle continues to close tighter and tighter - and none of your minions, including the Bronfman brats, are going to be able to save your ass from your prior (and ongoing?) illegal acts involving (You can fill in the blank, VanFraud).

"It is a pyramid scheme run by a man with 20-30 years experience running pyramid schemes."

But it's a human pyramid scheme: one that dictates how one should live, has rankings, authoritative leadership, uses thought reform techniques, etc., which makes it effectively a cult.

Do people really think that VanFraud wants a more Morally Ethical World? It would appear that he wants a world full of mindless followers who buy his bullshit, believe he can solve the "problems" of the world and knows how to raise children so they have super brains.

Is it really about protecting their "trade secrets" or is it more about covering up their wrong doings in an attempt to hush his fallen ones, the few who have been brave enough to have spoken out against him?

Most of his followers likely do not see what really takes place behind all the smoke and mirrors of the perfect cover up they call a training program. Religion, trainings, a cause are the most common way cults do their cover up.

This is the way cults are able to extract money or time out of their followers. They don't really know what is happening "Behind the Curtain" and believe that the cover up is the only thing taking place.

If they were allowed to sit in the meetings behind the curtain they would truly know what goes on behind their backs and know they have been duped, tricked and fleeced.

Raniere is the top three problem solver in the world my ass. How does card tricks, puzzles and the likes of solving these types of problems relate to World Problems? People do your home work on what is meant when you tell people Raniere is one of the top three problem solvers in the world. What problems did he have to solve to get that ranking?

Most followers don't even come to this blog as they have learned that in some form of brain washing that it would be bad to read the blog. It would be a sin, it would hurt their views of VanGod and they could never truly see him without the vision the blog would create for them when they saw him.

In the long run this blog and the articles that have come out will help uncover the "wrong doings" of VanTurd (A Grand log-shaped piece of shit, for those who need it defined) and his follows and this guy (or his Nurse who is going to take the major fall) is going to be exposed for many wrong doings.

It's not about ethics, it's not about culture; it's not about power; it's not about humanity. IT IS ABOUT MONEY$$$$$$$$$$$$. You are giving this fat little guy credit for some kind of intelligence or insight that just is not there. He is still just a con man who is peddling psycho-babble instead of soap!
