To Keith Raniere and the Bronfman; A message from my wife

Hey At Least it wasn't a Asian Suicide driver todaySome background, I have attended St Peters church since my baptism. My Father also was baptized and had his funeral there. Myself and my sisters and their respective families attend 5 o’clock Mass and sit in the same pew every week. The people around us are the familiar acquaintances that only years of sharing services can create. Today we were joined unexpectedly by a stranger who arrived late and pushed in our pew to share it with us. Guess what? She was tall, thin, mid twenties with long straight hair. None had ever seen her before. I must also say that her behavior was entirely acceptable. She has as much right to join us at Mass as anyone else. I hope you join us next week and please if you are from NXIVM introduce yourself. I don’t bite. The problem is your presence made my family uneasy. I hope you can understand that.
Also if you are taking your marching orders from Keith or Nancy what is the ethical purpose to join me and my family at Church? I really don’t want to end up like Óscar Romero Archbishop of San Salvador, Romero was shot on March 24, 1980, while celebrating Mass at a small chapel located in a hospital called "La Divina Providencia", one day after a sermon where he had called on Salvadoran soldiers, as Christians, to obey God's higher order and to stop carrying out the government's repression and violations of basic human rights. According to an audio-recording of the Mass, he was shot while elevating the chalice at the end of the Eucharistic rite. When he was shot, his blood spilled over the altar along with the contents of the chalice. Yes Keith while uneducated I am a student of history and symbolism.


I’m afraid my wife is in a somewhat less charitable mood and would like to say a few words.

Friday when my husband told me he was at the police station reporting a threat not only to himself but against me that was the last straw. I was confronted once by one of your woman who came to my door and if the women in church was sent by you I want you to know one thing. I am not afraid. We will continue to live our lives unconcerned with your petty and childish attempts at intimidation."

Postscript to the Church encounter.

I purposely left out some details of the unknown Jane in St Peters. One of those details was the peculiarities of the handshake she gave to me and other communicants at Mass. In a catholic service at one point it is customary to shake hands or to at least nod to the people around and wish them peace. Non-participation by a person while perfectly acceptable might be interpreted as rude. Let me just say her handshake was unusual and she adverted her eyes which is uncommon. I am now aware that NXIVM has a very forceful type handshakes that they are trained to use that are somehow meant to establish their dominance over the other person {No I am not making this up and I know it sounds ridiculous}

Other worshipers I talked to today mentioned the presence of a strange man at Mass who appeared to be wearing a fake mustache {again I am not making this up and I know it sounds ridiculous}. This man was also seen on Broadway today.

to all that have expressed your outrage at the antics of NXIVM. I don’t think you know our full backgrounds’. I lived for a time on Steuben street In UTICA NY. There were so many arson fires at that time in my poor and low rent neighborhood that simply going to sleep was scary. I had my apartment broken into, my refrigerator overturned and just going to the store was dangerous. I also loved the challenge of living there and have wonderful memories of many poor struggling people I met there. I considered myself an urban pioneer and thought living there was akin to homesteading in the wide west. I visit that neighborhood often and I am happy to say while the Bar on the right burned done and the building on the left burned down 1403 Steuben still stands. I left after two years for a chance to live in Florida and that is a story for another day. My wife who is a much more private person than me suffice it to say lived in bad neighborhoods from Buffalo to Philadelphia. The point I am making is yes we sometimes worry for our safety. But there are many good people today, who live in Arbor Hill in Albany or Hampton hill in Schenectady who live with danger and violence everyday. The difference is I brought this on myself while these poor people many of whom are decent have little real hope of ever escaping the violence.

I guess the fact that the Bronfman’s piss away millions in the name of ethics while I know that money might do some real good along with all the misery they have caused is what infuriates me and keeps me driven

The staff at Saratoga in Decline have received information about a possible threat against me and my wife. An active member of NXIVM has passed along information detailing a plot to assault my wife this weekend or even tonight in my presence to drawn me into a brawl with perhaps deadly consequences for moi. All of this was to be filmed for the viewing pleasure of the master. All of this is unproven of course but the best prevention is to shine a light on these scumbags and their nefarious plans.

This one is so far out there it wouldn’t surprise me to find out Roger Stone was behind it .He has worked for NXIVM before.

NXIVM begins petition to shut down Saratoga in Decline blog.

Well it has come to my attention that a series of high level brain storming sessions have taken place at the NXIVM clubhouse in the old pasta palace on Route 9 in Halfmoon. The meetings took place Sunday, Monday and Wednesday night. Remember NXIVM has a permit for a café open to the public and not for a private club. Seems the dinosaurs of NXIVM who seem to be caught in a nineties time wrap don’t understand this thingy called the internet, blogs and free expression. Seems the Bronfman’s money is used to hiring public relations firms and Shysters like cheap suit Coffey to keep their garbage under wraps. Then along comes a nobody with an attitude and they just can’t deal with the truth.
So being bullies, they play the intimidation and fear card. Well that didn’t work.
Then the shop around for a legal pretext to shut me down. Sorry chief free country never broke a law in my life. But you know that already, because you did a background check.

Now they have one damaging movie after another coming out and more and more people have seen behind the curtain to see the wizard is a pudgy, little, grimy dude, who looks like he should be buying lottery tickets and a six pack of Utica Club at the local Stewarts. That is when “he’s not having people killed for their beliefs”


So what did the NXIVM inteligensa come up with {beside alleged Asian suicide pilots that is} a petition!!! Isn’t that exciting and original. A petition to stop hate crimes and internet bullying. See they have been trying to accuse me of hate crimes and crimes against humanity since the day I started this blog. So all I can say is good luck with that. The more attention you bring to this blog the more people who will read it and learn the truth. So remember folks tell all your friends to put Saratoga in Decline in Google and search. That will give you a link to my blog and they can read for themselves if this is a hate blog or not. And remember everything I do is open, public and transparent. You, my readers and adversaries know who I am and where I live. I have no confidentiality agreements and if anyone has a video of me feel free to post it. Any NXIVM supporter who wants to write a rebuttal or post their own video I give you the stage.
But you won’t do that,you cowards will you. You huddle at night behind locked doors and plan revenge. Not much of a joyful existence, is it?

Is Barbara Bouchey trying to cut a deal with NXIVM?

One thing Barbara Bouchey understands is survival. From her miserable childhood on the streets of Troy that even a dog doesn’t deserve, to her manipulation of the media in her bankruptcy, Bouchey has proven to be adept at portraying herself and the “technology” of NXIVM in the best possible light.
Many people have speculated {this is an unproven allegation}that Bouchey has first hand knowledge and proof of some of the most damming allegations about the Bronfman brats. Namely {this is an unproven allegation} that they forged and notarized daddy’s signature on trust fund withdrawal applications in order to gain access to their trust funds. These charges with I have no inside knowledge about or any personal knowledge of the validity of these charges were alleged too, in the now infamous Vanity Fair story {here}
These charges which might sound mundane to the average reader of the blog might just hold the key to bring down this whole alleged criminal enterprise. Bouchey’s first attorney went after NXIVM in a big way. Richard Croak got the whole circus started by naming NXIVM as a cult and on June 15 he upped the ante by a filing clearly stating on the record “contains information that the shows the Bronfman’s engaged in a conspiracy to forge documents”

She recently fired Croak and this week while acting as her own pro se attorney asked for that statement to be withdrawn as erroneous and made without her knowledge or consent.[here}The judge had already allowed her to hire a criminal attorney {here}

Oh! Barb you are playing right into their hands. You, for all your so called survival skills have now painted yourself at best a incompetent idiot and at worst a liar. This by your own words and deeds. So have they made you some kind of deal outside the courtroom? Play ball and we’ll let you get on with your life, is that how it went Barb? You are starting to crumple like the cheap business suits you purchase at Marshalls.

Barb you can’t trust these people, they have no honor, no ethics. I hate to flush your toilet, but there is no technology. The whole charade is parlor tricks and a sort of mind fuck and three card monte, frankly I saw it done better by a Voodoo goddess in Haiti and at least she was entertaining.

On a warm summer afternoon while sitting on the patio of Uncommon Grounds an attractive women waking by stopped, looked at me and said, “are you him?” I am always cautious when I hear anything like that so I meekly said “what do you mean him?” She warmly replied “the guy who writes about NXIVM, I’m Toni, Keith’s old girlfriend.” We sat down and had a short talk and that was the first and only time I have ever met Toni Natalie. For those of you, who wonder what kind of women falls for a guru, let me say I found her attractive, intelligent and very angry. She realizes that not only had she wasted some of the best years of her life but that she had been the concubine of something truly rare, evil.

John, I want to thank-you for everything you have done to expose NXIVM. You have given people a place to go to feel safe and know they are no longer alone, a place to confirm their suspicions about those little nagging little things inside their heads that just don’t feel right (always trust your instinct, it’s what will save you in the end).… I just want to clear a few things up…

I call them the “missing years”….

A lot of people want to go from CBI to ESP and skip the “missing years”, and I think Keith, Nancy and “the family” would like to keep it that way. I’m not quite sure why – and the only thing I can think of is, it would be hard to envision the Buddha with a business, a home, a girlfriend and a child calling you daddy in your past. Maybe that’s why they dragged me and my friends and family through court for almost 9 years, to keep that quiet. Nah, there must be more.

NXIVM talks about the “Aha moment”, which is the moment when something becomes clear to you. My first such moment was in the first ESP class, and it happened when I realized what they could do with all of the personal information they get through what they now call “Ems”. It took awhile to understand just how far they were going with the new and improved NLP, and when I would not go along with the program, my next day became the next 12 years of my life and the lives of my family, a living hell, never knowing what was going to happen next or who would be behind it.

My second “Aha moment” occurred when I found that for the most part, they keep him hidden, and he paints himself out to be a Buddha, that very few people ever find about what they were doing to me, and that I was still being used in videos and when people would ask about who was the brunette with the green scarf, they would whisper and say “Oh her, she was a suppressive”

They use the legal system as their weapon of choice. Look at that document John has linked above, and that’s not everything. They came after my mother, my father, and my brother. And they left my son with a mother so broken I was afraid, and at times unable, to care for him. Every time I looked up, another motion was being filed, another claim was being made, another attack was being launched. How much of NXIVM’s and Bronfman’s money was spent on that, how many taxpayers dollars wasted, how many lawyers made rich.

Over the years, I have learned a lot about the man behind Vanguard. In recent years, I have met others who also know things about him.

He has learned to layer himself with credible people to propagate his bullshit and kept himself at a distance. And, of course, his name is never on anything…watch out Nancy you’re the one in front of him, the one who will really take the fall.

After CBI, it was National Heath Network. Keith called it the Consumers Reports of health and nutrition. National Heath Network was a company, or I should say one of the companies that Keith controlled but was in my name. It started in Rome Plaza, yup, the same place CBI started and where the newly named Apropos restaurant is today (It’s like that old saying: “Leopards never change their spots”).

Keith’s businesses generally attract good people, people looking to do things better in their lives, and he has a great calling card…”I have a 240 IQ and I want to change the world”. It works, people stop and listen, not to him anymore, they hid him now, (and I can see why) people get to see him now only at the volleyball court, or at Vanguard week, or after some big event like a 16 day intensive training, or Nancy’s birthday. By then, you’re very open and the inner circle has built him up so much that no matter what you see or hear, you’re much more likely to accept what they tell you as being the real truth. And if you have any doubt, they are right there to help you get though it, help you work on “your stuff”.

People who know the lies present him as a Buddha, an honest, ethical man, and a celibate. But they know the truth and only present the lies to keep the ball rolling.

Lots of people on the tit, with a lot to lose, starting with their army of lawyers. I don’t have a lawyer, nor can I afford one. If I get dragged into court again, I will represent myself, or hope for a lawyer who cares about what the legal system is suppose to represent and my right to free speech and to come forward, my own Gloria Allred.

It’s easier for some to pretend they don’t see anything than to stand up and ask questions, or step in and stop someone from being taken advantage of. In those Ems, beware of something you may say while trying to reach your “Aha moment”, it may come back to bite you in the ass, private things that you share in that moment of trust, that comes back at you in ways you never thought they would, … EM Keith and Nancy style.

My mission statement…. I am no longer afraid, I am no longer victim, and I will not stop until the entire truth comes out about what they do to people who speak out against them. I will not allow them to do this to another person. I will see them held accountable in the same place they have tortured people, in a court of law. I will help anyone who needs my help, to get out. It is not OK for them to raise a child. It is not OK for them to use people. It is not OK for them to abuse the legal system. It is not OK for them to take good people looking to do good in the world and use that to harm them. It is not OK for them to destroy families.

It has been said that in war, truth is the first casualty…Not this time...Silence, it’s here.

And now my own thoughts a thank you and some unsolicited advice for the Bronfman brats.
Many of you have donated since I put up the button on the top and I thank you. After careful consideration I have decided to give all the funds to my desperately struggling friends in Eastern Europe and to their children in this country, who until recently had been the fiscal lifeline for their folks back home.
Unemployment in the Ukraine is reaching 40% and the price of natural gas {the main heating source} supplied by Russia has doubled. This added to the problem that basic food and basic MEDICINES ARE BECOMIMG MORE AND MORE EXPENSIVE AND COST MORE THE THAN THEY DO HERE IN WALMART, even though the average salary when there is work is less than 10k a year and that is causing real hardship.

Many of these people sent their sons and daughters overseas much like my own great-grandparents in Ireland did, to find work and a future in the US. The recession has hit the new immigrants, some of who are my friends hard. Many are now out of work themselves and are unable to help their parents and younger siblings back home. The evil ones circle like vultures in the Ukraine as pornographers and human traffickers lay in wait to prey on the young ones with promises of jobs in the west. Evil people abound and trouble makes them flourish.Desperation is there weapon of choice.

I have been doing all I can to help my friends. Many local people have been donating warm coats and clothes for them. I am still desperate for a couple pairs of warm winter boots, women’s size 8. If you have any contact me at

I will drive up to 30 miles from my home base in Milton NY for a good pair or will give my address to mail them to me. Not looking for a fashion statement but no leaky boots please. They just cause frost bite and that makes a bad situation worse.

See ladies there is no payoff, no thank you. Live a good, kind and generous life and expect to have good karma in return? Doesn’t work that way. Fully expect to die in a flaming car wreck. I know only one absolute truth in life.
That in the eyes of God the worth, the value that he places on one cold shivering woman in a alley in Kiev is equal if not more, than the love and value he has for you.
Think you are special? You no more deserve your wealth then that woman deserves to be hungry and cold. Your fates are just an accident of birth.
Want enlightenment real joy? No GURU or dick will give it to you.

Enlightenment is the realization that the act of sacrifice or giving to alleviate the suffering of others brings joy to your soul, without the expectation of award or recognition. In fact expect persecution and scorn for your efforts. There is no shame in being born rich, only social reasonability. I have little, but share much. I can only help a few and my efforts don’t amount to a pile of shit in the cosmic universe, I know that.

The peace of mind that is my pillow, my joy is knowing that one less person that walks this earth with me and shares the same sun, is warm and fed because I took a moment to care and I fully expect to be sued for my efforts, but my conscience could still do no less.Think about it ladies,has Keith made you joyful?

NXIVM Legal torture; a three part series

Many people on the outside looking in fail to grasp the lengths that NXIVM will go to silence critics. Today I am starting a series on their abusive and frivolous attacks on individuals who have run afoul of them using the bankruptcy courts as a weapon to exact their revenge.
Part1. Toni Natalie

Ms. Natalie is the former girlfriend of Raniere going back to the former bad old days of Consumer Buyline. At one time Natalie was chosen as the “one”, the vessel that would carry the master’s spawn that would save the world. But when things went south, Raniere and his followers took holding a grudge to a whole new level. When Consumer Buyline went down in flames under multiple investigations, Natalie was left holding the bag for her company National Health Outlet A Place of Creations, Inc. and she had wised up to her paramours cheating and lies and soon realized that their whole relationship had been an illusion. Facing insurmountable debt and wanting to start a fresh life without the Guru, Natalie sought protection in the Bankruptcy courts.

On 10/27/99 Natalie filed for chapter7 bankruptcy in U.S. Bankruptcy Court Northern District of New York (Albany) her case was assigned to: Chief Judge Robert E. Littlefield Jr.{the same Judge overseeing the Bouchey bankruptcy}
What should have been a simple legal proceeding became a case of legal torture as the filing was contested by first
Salzman v. Natalie filed 07/10/00 till closed 09/13/01
Then the beast himself
Raniere v. Natalie filed 02/06/01 till closed 02/13/07

Natalie’s discharge was issued on or about January 7, 2003

And then to add insult to injury Gaelen’s would-be mom and barmaid turned lawyer Kristin Keefe joined in the legal pile on and launched on or about January 7, 2004, a Complaint seeking to revoke the Debtor’s discharge
Keefe v. Natalie filed 01/07/04 closed 10/15/07

On 03/17/2008 the case was terminated and Natalie was granted her discharge.

In what can only be called a blockbuster development a mysterious video of Keith Raniere has appeared on a Russian website. In the video Raniere is seen telling two unidentified women that he “has had people killed for his beliefs”. I will leave it to you to decide the context of the comments.
One has to wonder if this is only the first in a series of videos to be released in the former Soviet Union. As someone who has been on the receiving end of the wrath of Raniere, I am left wondering if he meant it or was just trying to intimidate and silence what he clearly sees as two impertinent women, Whatever the case I’m keeping my AK ready and Bruno on guard.

The State of the Saratoga Democratic Committee

With less than two weeks to Election Day the state of the cities Democratic Party as a viable alternative to the long dominate Republican Party looks more and more in doubt. Scott Murphy the popular Congressman from the 20th district which includes Saratoga Springs is in the fight of his life against career military man Chris Gibson and the local Marxist have barely paid him lip service in the campaign. Gibson has been pounding Murphy hourly for his flip flopping on his vote for the Affordable Health Care for America Act. On November 7, 2009, Murphy voted against the act that had the local Marxist Party up in arms. Many on the Saratoga Democratic Committee were furious and threatened to primary Murphy if he didn’t move to the left and away from the Blue Dog Democratic Coalition. In March 2010, Murphy reversed himself and voted for the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.

Trust me if Murphy loses this race it will be over that one vote. As always the local Democrats were way out in left field on the issue. The bill is such a convoluted mess that I, a life long advocate of heath care reform would have voted against it.

In the other local race Saratoga Springs Supervisor Joanne Yepsen (D-Saratoga Springs) is in a tight race as she tries to unseat Senator Roy McDonald (R-Wilton) in the race for the 43rd Senate District. Again the local Committee has not found Yepson ideologically pure enough to warrant their all out support. Seems Joanne has been hesitant to give her support to the Committees favorite pet project Charter Change in the city.

So with the Dems poised to lose the 20th congressional district and the NYS state senate what is the most important thing on the Committees mind? To unseat The only Democrat currently sitting on the City Council, Commissioner of Accounts John P. Franck,.

No SHIT I am not making this up. At an executive committee meeting headed by Thilo Ullmann the Spaniard and olive oil salesman. Former Deputy Mayor under Val Keehn and Deputy Commissioner of Public Safety under Ron Kim, Eileen Finnegan in setting the committees goals for next year stated. “The most pressing need of this Committee is the removal of Commissioner of Accounts John P. Franck.”

HE’S A FUCKING DEMOCRAT YOU MORON. Can’t you think of something a little more pressing you unemployed pole dancer? Like getting Val set up on Match.com.

Also I see Peter Martin the golden boy of the committee is grooming newcomer Kevin Madigan who sits on the Democratic Committee’s City Budget Task Force to run for Commissioner of Finance or worse a democratic primary against Franck.

I also hear that Peter Martin is gunning for popular Mayor Scott Johnson if he chooses to run again.
Other items on the platform of the committee for next year will be for Charter Change.
Bonding money for a Police Station.
Selling the Rec center.
Selling the future Lakeside Park.
Erecting a statue to Anthony "Skip" Scirocco Commissioner of Public Works in Congress Park for beating the boogieman, Thomas McTygue. I hear they also want to make his birthday a city wide holiday.

But in the end does it really matter what they think? There last few meeting have been attended by less than 20 people. To 80% of the people in the town they are at best irrelevant and at worst a corrupt organization that refuses to open its books and secretly funnels money to Republicans to beat non radical Democrats

I have been mentioned in the New York Post, Times Union, New York Observer and internationally in MacLean’s magazine. I was profiled in the Post Star and I have been ignored and later condemned by local paper The Saratogian
Now I know a lot of you love this blog, some wish I would go away and a few would like to kill me. But trust me I’m not going anywhere as I will continue to shine a light on Government waste and Cultist in our area. To the people who love my blog now might be a good time to donate to the cause, I could use a new desk top{I’m still running windows XP} and Bruno needs his teeth sharpened . Anyway keep us in mind and feel free to send in story ideas.

People always ask me why I blog. Well first let me say what I’m not. I’m not a writer and never pretend to be. Nether am I a journalist, I guess I am a highly opinionated social commentator. Blogging is very personal, as your beliefs and personality come through in your writing. Unlike the vast majority of anonymous posters like those in the comments at the Saratogian, people know who I am.
People also ask if I regret anything I’ve written. Well honestly I was a little rough on Kevin Connolly, the Democratic candidate for Public Safety Commissioner, if given the chance I would apologize, but I wouldn’t expect him to accept it. Sorry Kevin I still think you would have made a horrible commissioner but I was a bit of a dick in my treatment of you in the campaign. As far as my crusades against Ron Kim, Andrew Bernstein and the whole NXIVM crowd, Fuck you and the horse you rode in on. I asked for no quarter and I give none.


I have always hated the way that power and money can be used to manipulate the masses, so with no money and no power I have tired to be an alternative voice. I really don’t censor your comments, even when they are critical of me and people I support. My offer to give my opponents the front page is valid, even NXIVM is welcome to summit a story for posting. So as long as you the public keep reading I’ll keep pissing people off and if any of you would like to approach me in public to tell me what they think of me and my blog, good and bad, feel free to, I’m not hard to find. How Safe is Saratoga Springs?

Well as all Saratogians know the city is facing an over 8% tax increase again next year. Tomorrow night the first of a serious of public hearings, will be held in City Hall before the regular City Council meeting. Much will be bantered around, but the truth of the matter is City salaries along with pension costs and heath insurance costs have created an unsustainable pyramid that will eventually bankrupt the city. Many people will call for cuts in the cities rank and file. So as a public service I have taken a hard look at the crime rate in the City which I will then compare to Ithaca NY a city that is often used in comparisons due to demographic similarities.
The first thing that strikes me is in spite of the complaints that the cities crime rate is soaring, nothing could be father from the truth. Crime in Saratoga is incredibly low and falling. In fact we make Ithaca NY home to Ithaca College and Cornell University look down right dangerous. Just a note to Charter change people they do not have a Commission form of Government. They also go into great detail about many of the convoluted legal and fiscal activities of the cult.
All in all this was a great article that will hit NXIVM hard across the pond. The Bronfman Brats come off as little more than two spoiled little brats trying to get daddies attention. I will leave this as the top story for a few days so post away

New York Post mocks NXIVM lawsuit and changes in store for NXIVM clubhouse.

The New York Post ridiculed and mocked NXIVM and its second in command Nancy Salzman today on Page Six called

The short story while breaking no new ground brings the NXIVM follies to a wide audience. I enjoy the way the Post treats these scumbags with utter disdain.

In other news, alert neighbors informed me that there is some construction taking place at the NXIVM clubhouse in Halfmoon, the old Romano’s Pasta Palace. Seems the old sign is finally coming down. The cultists were given a building permit in March for an unspecified Sign change. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the old pasta palace. Sources tell me, Raniere{Vanguard} has big plans to convert it into his longed for library and recording studio. “Fluffy” the Mexican videographer has been recording the Master’s daily activities and rituals for prosperity for quite some time now. Raniere is obsessed with having his everyday activities recorded and cataloged. Telling his slavish followers if only “Jesus had left a video” The central “tribute” demanded of his followers at this year V-Week was for large cash contributions to fund the project.

Romano’s was originally purchased by Barb Bouchey in June 2006 for $650,000 who quickly filed plans with the town to divide the property into four offices, a public office space, a reception area and cafe.
NXIVM tried to build a headquarters in Halfmoon a few years before 2006 off Woodin Road, not far from Romano's, but the project faced overwhelming opposition from town residents. They later had NXIVM board member Pamela Cafritz and then NXIVM Regional Vice President Barbara Bouchey act as Proxy buyers for the cult to obtain the defunct pasta palace. There plans were shot down by Halfmoon officers who refused to rezone the restaurant to a learning center. Since then NXIVM insiders have told me that extensive undocumented renovations have taken place inside the building.
But NXIVM never let a few zoning violations get in the way of the Master’s plans and have continued to hold alleged illegal gathering and classes at the establishment.

Mr. Berkowitz asked are you open right now? Mr. Mickels stated the restaurant is serving food but it has not been advertised and they don’t have a sign up. People are going in but it isn’t really an open to the public thing yet. There have been people in there using it, different people have gone in and had birthday parties and there are functions that are happening that are restaurant functions. Mr. Berkowitz asked do you have an operating kitchen right now? Mr. Mickels stated the following: Yes and we have all of the Health Department approvals. We will also inform the Health Department of the name change and our hours of operation change also. Mr. Watts stated I see from your application that you did not indicate permits required from any other agencies and you did not put down the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH); you do require it and I asked; do you have all the permits required? Mr. Mickels stated the following: We have all permits, we are approved, we have occupancy from the Town and we also have operating Health Department permits for an open and operating restaurant. The only modification that we would need to do to that is to inform them of the name change and the hours change. Mr. Watts stated okay and could you make sure that you bring your permits from the NYSDOH to our office. Mr. Mickels stated yes. Mr. Berkowitz asked is there any outdoor activity? Mr. Mickels stated the following: No. The plans that we previously submitted for the sunrooms and the rooftop deck they’re holding off on right now because of the slow economy and there are no plans to go forward with that at this time.

The only activities outside are parking. Mr. Berkowitz stated you would have to come in front of this Board before you actually attempt to put a deck on the roof or on the building. Mr. Mickels stated absolutely because that has been shelved for right now. Mr. Watts stated you have said that there is no music. Mr. Mickels stated the following: There may be some music on the inside; the Jen Chapin Trio from New York City. Jen Chapin is Harry Chapin’s daughter and two other musicians came in and performed a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday evening.
There is music sometimes on the inside with different acapella groups who have come in and sung and things while there are birthday parties going on or something like that.
We don’t plan on doing anything late and I believe I put on the application “no later than 1:00 am” and also we don’t have anything planned for outside or open door policy for while the music is operating because we want to be very sensitive to our neighbors and we do not want to disrupt them. Roberts asked are you saying that the Internet café is 24 hours a day but the restaurant is not 24 hours a day. Mr. Mickels stated the following: The Internet café is 24 hours a day and the restaurant will operate 24 hours a day; my intent in that statement was that we will not be playing music all night long. We will be offering Internet service, coffee, sandwiches and a lot of it is going to be like a self-service vegetarian bar with no meat. It is all healthy food and you can make your own pizzas, your own sandwiches and there would be coffee and tea served and things like that but no alcohol.
Mr. Roberts asked would there be a free-standing sign like there used to be or would you just have a sign on the building itself? Mr. Mickels stated we removed the stand and the sign out by the street, we don’t have any plans to put one out there and that was State Department property anyway.
Mr. Berkowitz made a motion to approve the change of tenant and sign application for Apropos. Mr. Ruchlicki seconded. Motion carried.

Bouchey fires her attorney.

Well folks I miss a day and people are checking the papers for my obituary. As some of you know, many things are going on behind the scenes and it is premature to write about them. But trust me Keith and crazy nurse Nancy are not going to be happy. To my local readers I have a few columns coming up as well. I think I will try to alternate them to keep everyone happy.
Today’s latest development is the shocking news that Barbara Bouchey unceremoniously fired her attorney Richard Croak{here}. Again I have not spoken to her or had any contact with her. But If I had, I would have told her. “Are you out of your fucking mind?” Let me explain this to you, if you think they will go easy on you, or you can cut some kind of deal with NXIVM you’re dumber than I fucking thought. I may not have learned much in life, but proper and aggressive legal representation is worth every penny. Playing nice in a courtroom will just get you eaten alive.
As I understand you think that by going pro se {advocating on one's own behalf before a court, rather than being represented by a lawyer} you might have a more compelling chapter for you upcoming book{ Money manager for a international cult} but when Coffey and Co. get done with you, there won’t even be a carcass to bury much less a women on a book tour.

Cloak irritated the shit out of them. So you get a call from your old friend and paramour Keith who tells you “trust me”. Well it’s your funeral Barb but don’t say you weren’t warned.

Saratoga Springs 2011 budget; The Saratoga Decline continues…

A year ago when I picked the name Saratoga in Decline I faced some immediate criticism. In retrospect I think I picked the perfect moniker. Saratoga is in decline, no doubt about it. The budget presentation last night only reinforces my opinion. For those of you who are as of yet unaware, City Commissioner of Finance Kenneth Ivins Jr. proposed a tax increase of 8.48 percent and personnel cuts that include shifting the duties of nine Public Safety dispatchers to the county.

As I make clear in the video I made the difficult decision to sell my home on Warren St two years ago. Trust me it was not an easy decision. With no offense to the majority of city residents, who have moved here at some point in their lives,only a native born son can fully understand how I feel. I love this town. I know its secrets and its mysteries in a way only a child growing up here can. I walked its streets with my father, who showed me the home that he grew up in and the places he knew as a boy. I was surrounded by his good friends who entertained and fascinated me with stories of “Old Saratoga” and its sometimes shady past. I remind readers that these were all men of the “greatest generation” all veterans of World War 2. What I remember most about them was their modest expectations. Most seemed happy just to be back in their beloved home town alive. In case you have ever wondered what kind of impact the casualties caused by World War Two had on our community, one only has to look at the names of the KIA’s on the memorial next to St Peters Church. Mind you the Italian and Irish names found there, are only the loses suffered by one local Catholic parish. The entire cities sacrifice {east side Catholics, Protestants and Jews} is much greater

These men, the survivors of this great conflict, built or purchased modest homes, worked their jobs and raised their families. Many in my family became the cities Cops and Fireman, at that time their pay was low and all worked second and sometimes third jobs just to get by. My own father although he was the cities highest ranking fireman; Chief, never owned a new car or an air conditioner. We owned a three family house on Jefferson St next to public housing were the five of us shared one bathroom. We were the happiest family one could imagine. We went to Catholic school which we walked to, where tuition was kept low by employing Nuns and lay teachers, some of who only had Associate degrees.

What ever happened to those days? Now we have cops making six figures, who expect the taxpayers to finance a lifestyle that their fathers could only dream of. And for those of you who think Saratoga is in some new crime wave. I lived above the HUB bar for 7 years, in the eighties, drug deals in dark hallways, fights in the parking lot and police sirens were a daily part of life. I wept at the funerals of murdered friends {here} who only found death on the streets of Saratoga. Some of the perpetrators of those crimes, I believe still walk the cities streets today.
The lot of the cops in this town has always been dangerous and crime is not some recent development in the city. Bulletproof vests, high powered weaponry and new technologies have if anything, made the cops job safer.

The Fireman in this city are also much safer. Gone are the days of Fireman racing into buildings, breathing the acidic smoke of fires through their naked lungs. Airpacks and improved fire protective clothing has made their jobs much safer. What does remain is the 24 hour shift that allows Fireman to seek other employment to supplement what is now a generous salary and benefit package.

DPW workers of which I was one, have their own difficulties and dangers. But their jobs have also become safer and with the purchase of new equipment easier. Long gone are the days of pesticide spraying trucks spewing their toxins on city streets as dead birds fell from the trees. This lethal spay was administered by a man who was given no protective breathing apparatus. I urged him to cut the labels off the pesticides for future medical reference for the day when he would be coughing out his lungs. The tree crew had no “Bucket Truck”. They climbed trees by hand with ropes and spikes. There was no clam to pick up leaves, it was done by hand or by a kind of giant vacuum, that left the operators picking the remnants of leaves out of their teeth and hair for weeks.

Now looking at the cities payroll for DPW I see a department paying high school dropouts with no driver’s licenses and criminal records 60K a year.
Something is killing this town and it doesn’t matter what FORM OF GOVERNMENT we have. Personal costs are killing upstate governments. Union contracts are killing cities and driving long term residents to the suburbs such as Milton and Wilton. Hell some of my neighbors are city workers and city fireman. They don’t want to pay city taxes either. Taxes their very salaries cause.

Something has to give. I would hope the cities work force would take a good hard look in the mirror and see that their own greed could cause the loss of their employment. Just as the 50 dollar an hour auto worker killed Detroit your wage demands are forcing the city to make difficult choices.
Dispatcher could be the first to go.
Next could be the paid fire department.
Much of DPW could be outsourced to save money and get better services
And finally police consolidations could eliminate the police Department as we know it.
Think it can’t happen? Think again.

The choice in the end lies in the hands of the cities rank and file. Much of what I’ve said applies equally to the school district. My landlord just showed me a receipt for his school taxes which he just paid the other day {I do live in the Saratoga School District} $22,000 for half a year. Again this model is unsustainable and the decline continues……

NXIVM plays the Extortion card.

Well if NXIVM is anything they are predictable. Now in a document {here} Bouchey has confirmed that she has received a letter from Saratoga County DA Jim Murphy stating that he was starting a criminal investigation over Bouchey’s resignation letter that was signed by her and the other NXIVM 9. In that letter [which I have not seen], Bouchey is alleged to have demanded the two million that Raniere owes her from his commodities trading binge.This reinforces what Coffey and his gang have been including in just about every possible legal document they have filed. More {here} and {here} Namely that Bouchey tired to extort 2 million out of NXIVM to keep her month shut. Now the real evilness of this claim doesn’t become evident until one takes it in context.They also have repeatedly claimed that she has released proprietary information and NXIVM's treasured "Clients List" {Here} A charge Bouchey denies.{here} {here}
Bouchey is arguing to the Bankruptcy trustee that she needs to hire a criminal attorney. Something she can’t do without the permission of Judge Littlefield. Something the Bronfman brats have vigorously opposed {here}.So they have her in a ridiculous catch 22. Telling her that she is a criminal and trying to get anyone to indict her on one hand, while they hire shyster number two to argue in bankruptcy court she doesn’t need a criminal attorney

So there you have it folks NXIVM wants to be the Judge, Jury and Boucheys executioner. What a much of scumbags.

But it does match their modus operandi. They always try to paint their critics as criminals.


They used exact same tactics with respect to Rick Ross, Toni Natalie, Joe O’Hara, and now they can add Bouchey to the list
: Step #1: File a complaint – and try to get a criminal investigation started
; Step #2: Allege that the other party is under “criminal investigation”.

Well it ain’t going to work this time. You tired several times in various legal venues to have me charged with something, anything. Going so far as to claim I’m a drunken terrorist. Murphy won’t indict Bouchey, any grand jury would laugh the charges out of the grand jury room. Bouchey will get her criminal defense attorney. Your own actions justify her hiring. Have you people ever won a lawsuit?
No wonder you stupid morons think all our Judges are corrupt. You don’t lose every case because the courts are rigged against you, its because none of your cases are worth the paper there written on.
