Well that last posting as my late Grandmother would say was a real humdinger. Now on a lighter note {it is the end of a decade and the holiday season} I would like to thank some people.First to my family who have always supported me no matter what a pain in the ass I was and especially my sister who created the first Saratoga in Decline calendar. Titled “Beware of the man in the basement” she took her favorite blog posting from each month and made a beautiful calendar out of it.
Next to my HA friends in Troy who have been helping gather information about the early years. They gave a support 81 tee-shirt with the words “Three can keep a secret if two are dead”. Ain’t that the truth Keith, but the girls aren’t dead Keith and there telling your secrets every day.
And to my Russian friends who gave me the most pain full Christmas present I ever received. The much valued knee cap tattoo given to someone who has proven they bow to no man or government but only to God. Just in case anyone wondered what it’s like to have your knees tattooed? I can only say that for the rest of my life when I am forced to do something extremely unpleasant I will say “this is as much fun as getting my knees tattooed”
And to all of you who have helped me big and small. TM and EM and Dave the bartender and my old friend {you I trust with my life} and to you my readers and contributors HAPPY NEW YEAR. And to Steve Coffey; Happy New Year, where’s my card you prick? You made enough money off watching this blog to send your kids to Yale.And just a quick note to the hard core NIXIVM brain dead who lurk here, if Keith gave you an old can of Maxwell house coffee for Christmas for the love of God don’t try to drink it.

Ben, While I've been out of town for the past several months, I'm back in town for a while. However, I've kept track of the going ons with your infamous blog and with what's going on with the local scene. As we begin the new year, I would look forward to more reports about the prevailing incompetence within our own hometown City government. From what I understand, there is lots to report; beginning with this lame City Council's refusal to reign in City spending and instead defend the status quo and (as someone recently put it) tax and spend!

I have been thinking of a way to be on topic about Raniere's twisted thinking on ethics and compassion. As with all cults they take language we all understand and twist it to new meaning. L. Ron Hubbard was especially good at it. Like Scientology, Raniere has decided that being compassionate is selecting only certain people to be worthy of attention, of even living. The rest can go hang. Tom Cruise preaches the same thing.
I read that Raniere bases some of his ethics on Ayn Rand. Her appeal I understand. It is always better to be self sufficient, but some of us just can't make it all work for whatever reason.
Selfishness is built into us. Altruism is learned. As you said 5:47, "This is our way of serving God - by helping, sharing and being kind to other people."
This is something Raneiere and the Bronfmans just do not understand. They deliberately weaken others with their technology and then treat them like dirt. What compassion?
These people have demonstrated that they are immoral, unethical, but they think they are the opposite. Down is up with them.

If you are reading here and have information that can help John expose NXIVM, you can email him and tell him anything and he will not expose your identity. Trust me, I have told him things and asked him to keep it under wraps and he has honored my wishes every time. So, don't be afraid to tell what you know, even if it is something small or something you might think is not important. Every bit of information can be helpful and even if you think his tone, at times, can be a little rough, I will attest that he is an okay guy and can be trusted.
