Well just a few things. Don’t think the sudden Détente between Coffey and me means we’ll be taking long hot showers together. If given the legal means that legal vulture would have me in jail and bankruptcy for the next decade. Lawyers like him think the 1th amendment applies only to Second Estate and not the great unwashed.
That said although I am a big free speech guy I have my limits. I leave it up to you to keep an eye on comments along with me. I know nothing of Coffey’s family or Pam Nickels. Nor do I want to. As someone who has had his wife called a “Palestinian slut" . To other family members called whores to comments about poisoning my dog I know what it’s like to have to stand by and read the comments. These left on other blogs and even the mainstream Saratogian website {a disgrace to journalism where they have no comment moderation} where I have no power to have them removed. So in closing if you see something of such an egregious level you feel it should be removed, let me know.

It has been said that civility is an excellent conversation stopper. And it can be, because demanding civility has been a way to control or limit the voice of alterity or the unprivileged and powerless. Coffey knows that and that is why people of wealth and power {Coffey,Bronfmans} demand it when they are being deservingly pounded in the free press and blogs. John, Your civility towards Coffey and his his deceased son is admirable. However, for those of us who have been fucked over by NXIVM and-or run over by its lawyers, there are no "Off Limits" areas in this war.
As far as were concerned, everybody and everything associated with anyone who is associated with NXIVM is fair game. We just think of them as collateral damage.

Yes I have had animals threatened. I also may be the only blogger who ever had an entire blog set up just to harass, threaten and genuinely just insult moi . No I will not give out the website and it is inactive now and was never read by more than a handful of enemies. But even though I know who wrote it I have never run to google or sicked my lawyers on him. I figured he had every legal right to do it, god knows I’ve beat up a few people here.
What has disappointed me is the Saratogian who has no comment moderation. They have a filter that limits words , like cunt, motherfucker and cocksucker but shoot, kill, maim and poison are all fine. They have a hit abuse button if you object to a comment that might be looked at by a gum chewing teenager picking up pocket change for the mall in a day or too.
The worst comment left about me I believe was left by someone named Chubbs who wrote
“I heard Tighe has been shooting at Deputy Sheriffs up in Milton” I believe that was a NXIVM comment meant to have me disarmed. After repeated attempts to have it removed by the staff of the Saratogian I called so titled “webmaster” Steve Shoe and said if the comment was not removed I would write about him and the Saratogian everyday till it was removed. Of course no one ever answers at the Saratogian so I left it on voice mail.
The Saratogian responded by blacklisting my e-mail address from ever writing at the Saratogian website. In fairness they removed the comment after I called Saratoga County Sheriff Bowen to report it.
Shoe who left the staff of the Saratogian shortly after the event wrote this
“6) My first (and only) threatening phone call. Well, technically it was a voice mail left shortly before I got into work one morning about a month and a half ago. A blogger expressed umbrage over some comments posted at http://www.saratogian.com/ directed at them, and demanded they be removed (and rightfully so). If not? Well, said blogger might just write about The Saratogian, a co-worker of mine or, heavens no!, me. Fortunately, someone else had already removed the comments, so I wasn't in the position of having to give in to the demands.”
