As most of my faithful readers know I left LA for Sobe Florida last week so I was not present for the verdict and details are still coming in but, from what I heard the Bronfman brats were awarded 10.3 million from a broke Ukrainian couple who may now become homeless.
So they lost upwards of 100 million in a simple deal in an area they new nothing about.
I guess they will be having an orgy in the clubhouse in Clifton Park tonight.
So what do I think about this real estate abortion?
Well Crockett made a fortune, the Mormon church made a bundle. I saw a lot of information go into the record. But most of all this was a human tragedy and a cautionary tale for the future.
A young Ukrainian family came to this country to build their American dream and they found the devil. I wish them all the luck in the world and hope they remember this.
At least nobody died.
I am serious, it could have been much worse.
You are still still young and smart and heathy.But now you are something much more.
You are wise.
And let this case be a warning to anyone else who wants to get involved with NXIVM.

So it cost them $11 million to win $10.3 million dollars. I'm sure this will be rationalized as a some sort of victory. LOL.
I don't even know what to say. How that bunch of unethical scumbags can look themselves in the mirror every day is beyond me.
For one to be ethical, one must have a conscience. Clare Bronfman is neither ethical nor does she possess a conscience. What she has achieved can in no way be viewed as any sort of victory. She has not only destroyed the lives of two good people, but has destroyed the lives of their young children and for what? To recover less money than she spent on her attorneys. Way to go Clare. With this type of investing you'll be broke in no time.
With this money, I predict a statue will be erected of Vanguard in front of the Club House on Rt. 9. They can't possibly let Fred the Butcher's Cow outdo them! Only questions are: (1) How tall will it be; and (2) will it be nude (with appropriate place to tie a ribbon).

Yes, but the faithful followers will never figure out they did win anything.
A $10 million award, but $11 million in legal fees to get it? What a deal! That is, if Crockett was telling the truth during the trial about his bill. It might have been less and he was just trying to pull a scam on the court, maybe? I don't know.
But the next point becomes this: will the brats (and thereby the nxivm cult thereby Ketih Raniere) collect any of that $10 million?
Just because you win a civil trial doesn't mean you collect the money.
So the question becomes whether the Playms have any money or if there was insurance coverage--and if so, for how much?
My sense is that the only ones getting paid here are the legal thieves.
Congratulations, Clare and Sara Bronfman. You won. But you really lost.

And so this will now convince the Bronfmans of the righteousness of their cause and their actions. They "won" therefore they must be "right". Instead of cracking the "ethical" facade of Raniere and NXIVM, this puts another buttress in place. Given the priorties of this mob, I'd bet they feel all those legal fees were well spent for the legal validation they received. Narcissism - when the need to "win" and feed the ego trumps all other considerations. I'm disgusted and saddened by this outcome. May the revelations that came out in the trial testimony still be of some use in pursuing a path to shut down this circus of evil.
So, to all those who posted comments on the prior thread about how strong and powerful Bouchey's testimony was; how she was finally being vindicated; etc.; etc.; etc. How'd that all turn out??????????

They've shelved out $150 million dollars (spent on Raniere's gambling addiction, failed investments, lawyers fees, paying the Dalai Lama to come to Albany) and still have yet to collect $10.3 million dollars. That's a deficit of $140 million dollars. In whose warped view is this a "win"?

So the Plyams screwed up, got duped and got involved with the wrong crowd and they ended up with a 10.3 million dollar judgment against them.
NXIVM spent at least 11 million on lawyers, and in the end, they got their asses exposed, on the record, in a public trial, in a big way. Witnesses described multiple illegal activities by NXIVM and its members, and in some cases, documentation of those illegal acts were entered into evidence. However, NXIVM wasn't "on trial," and the jury decided the case with that fact in mind.
In the short term, Crockett gets paid, Keith gets laid, and the NXIVM braindead celebrate their 'victory.'
In the long term, those Plyam trial transcripts are going to bring more heat from law enforcement and more scrutiny from the government, media, general public, and even current NXIVM members.

They're never going to get any money from this. It's a worthless piece of paper.
There many never be much money that changes hands, but other NXIVM types will be scared shitless to every defect or otherwise cross these sordid SOB's. Scary. Will be interesting to see if John's sources dry up or NXIVM starts a witch hunt to identify "double agents" within. Would not be hard. All it would take is to plant some inaccurate information with suspected insiders and then see if any of that bogus information shows up on this blog or elsewhere. Once that happens, the poor soul might end up missing in Alaska.

I laugh whenever the Bronfman brats quote anything related to the Dalai Lama, like Sara on her twitter, as if they truly follow what he says. It's been over two years since he said total transparency, yet when has the narcissistic Raniere and NXIVM ever been transparent?
I'm not a big fan of the Dalai Lama, but Sara, you don't deserve to quote him. You had to pay him to come to Saratoga - which made me lose some respect for him, but I'll file that under a personality giving someone or a group a chance to rectify themselves - and your cult leader still hasn't listened to him. Apparently, he's doing more important things like "non-transparently" sleeping with multiple women, ripping up towel paper into tiny pieces to save the environment, gambling in the commodities market, training the president of a company who doesn't even know the name of the company or its address, and playing volleyball at night.
