Any way a battle of information has been raging over at Wikipedia as NXIVM related websites have been flooded with sugar coated platitudes praising NXIVM and Keith and the wonderful world of child experimentation, brainwashing and group sex. It began when someone called U21980 stated posting edits about Bouchey and extortion letters and other nonsense. Then someone calling themselves Keyser Sözetigho got into the fray posting his own links and comments.Since that time it’s been a battle of the edits as complaints have been filed by both sides to Wikipedia staff. Generally I like the concept of Wikipedia but in the case of a cult like NXIVM with legions of brain dead but computer literate zombies posting edits without people like Mr. Keyser Sözetigho to add some balance and perspective hundreds of people who turn to Wikipedia for info can be misled into a dangerous situation.
So I would urge all of you, open your own wiki account and join the fray.The only thing it will cost you is time.

BEWARE WHAT LIES in this post and the quote from Clare's sworn declaration. The letter, regardless of how one views it, was NOT sent to "the Bronfmans" and did NOT threaten to reveal information to the press about Sara and/or Clare Bronfman. The letter was addressed to Keith Raniere and Nancy Salzman.
This is yet another fine example of Vantwit and Vantwat recklessly using the Bronfman girls as human shields and money shields over criticisms (or threats, as one may perceive it) levied at themselves not their followers.
Raniere owed the author of this letter 1.7 million dollars in a loan for monies he lost in a failed commodities trading scam. He'd also put the author, one of his girlfriends, up to managing the Bronfman girls finances and procuring loans from the Bronfman girls and others, to continue his investment schemes and illegal mlm companies, principally NXIVM. It's called a "Ponzi Scheme" overall.
Raniere had also just made a videotaped confession regarding having "people killed," on the eve of the letter being written.
So, how does it feel, Sara and Clare to be using the last of your current inheritance ...LONG LIVE EDGAR...to protect a potential murderer, swindler and I might add PEDOPHILE?

I find you telling a story that is familar to me and anyone who has left a group led by deceptive cheaters. We are among a group of millions from all different walks of life and from widely diverse movements who have found themselves exploited by these cheats ( and lets not start another movement to join in that cause- hey now). Abusers all use the same game with a different rap. These self styled leaders, base their movements on a bit of text or truth from some ancient or time honored tradition to back up their claims so they can ply their followers for money, fame, self importance, status, power, sex, etc.They proclaim an extraordinary spiritual power, intellect, secrets to wealth, happiness, enlightenment, health, prowess, political success, etc. The shukster leader will dispense some oftheir gains to loyalists who will enforce the notion of the leader's uniqueness. These loyalists are often awarded a degree of the leaders uniqueness but never enough to challenge the leader. After years of self sacrifice, the rank and file follower finds no overall gained benefit but has been abused by the loyalists or the leader, though more often than not, the leader leaves the dirty work to others. When the leader finally reaches the pinnacle of their gross behavior, even the inner circle will start to lose faith. When finally exhausted, the follower, finding themselves broken and no longer able to produce, are dropped like a stone. Their years of loyalty are left unreciprocated. They are persecuted when questioning and other followers are isolated from associating with the doubting follower.
The deception starts with acceptance, by the follower, of an idea that requires suspending disbelief in the face of contrary information. The leader and/ or loyal followers latch onto those who they see are willing to accept such notions and follow up to see how willing they are to accept more irrational justification. Based on the response, those willing to deceive themselves more, are offered entrance to higher levels of wisdom, status, power, etc , but it will cost. The follower must make deeper sacrfices. There is always a carrot held out, enticing the follower that the attainment of the movements goal is ahead if the follower would only apply themselves. Often times, barring followers from these higher levels in the organization, is used as a way to punish and demean, in hopes of greater submission.These cheating leaders are dangerous people who sometimes harrass their ex followers with anything from defamation, exhaustive lawsuits, beatings and murder. The intrepid ex-follower needs to be thoughtful, and find support from others. They may need to alert law enforcement, engage the justice system, get health care, retrain for employment and find ways to refocus their thinking and unwind the years of psychological and emotional abuse.
Is this ringing a bell? To anyone reading, who is still on the inside of such an abusive movement, make plans to get out and then do it soon. It doesn't get better and you might get blamed for others abusive behavior. These leaders will do anything for self preservation. Be wise.
The mechanism is the same in defective spiritual groups, abusive self help groups,charlatan health programs, prosperity churches and deceptive politicians who deceive so often, that others start accepting their assertions as truth despite a track record that demonstrates a lack of positive results or corraborating facts.
I never even heard of this group, so so much for being the savior of humanity but it sures sounds familiar.
I wish all of you well, you who were victimized by these self indulgent egotists. They promised you fullfillment to make yourselves and the world a better place, and offered anything but.
