Brent continues to be a sore loser and seems unable to fathom that after spending 80k plus, he was still unable to unseat Scott Johnson who barely broke a sweat campaigning. Maybe with more of PERMA’s money he can contract John E. Sweeney better known as "EX-Congressman Kickass," who gained notoriety for organizing the so-called Brooks Brothers riot that disrupted the Florida elections commissioners. He was said to have led the charge on the third recount in Miami in the Bush-Gore Florida presidential count, flying in astroturfing operatives and instructing them to "shut it down!" He is perhaps better remembered locally as an obnoxious drunk. Just the kind of man PERMA’s money can buy to steal the election when the absentee ballots are opened. Look out Pat Kane, he may just need a real scumbag to pull this off.
In other disturbing news the humorless dentist Christian Mathiesen is said to be interviewing Lew Benton for the deputy commissioner’s spot. Lew an ex-Republican turned Liberal-Democrat never met a government paycheck he didn’t cash is particularly disliked by local Republicans.
That brings me to the dismal performance of the Republican committee. You guys suck. The Dems were all over the city, screaming, yelling getting out the vote. Serves you right to have Lew Benton back in City Hall. Put down your fucking steak knives and your single malt and throw the deadwood off the fucking committee, starting with the backstabbing Scirocco clan. This group of westsiders were drunk at the bar celebrating their “Victory” while Ivins and Wirth were making heart felt speeches.
I’m not sure if you’re a family or a coven, but you have made some powerful enemies in both parties.
Next let’s talk about the Democratic Committee currently run by Thilo Ullmann. Let me tell you I have had some long talks with Thilo and he is one of the densest people I have ever met. One night he gave a heartfelt speech about the death of Spanish dictator Franco. Thilo’s voice cracked with emotion as he described the almost erotic experience of singing the Internationale in FRENCH after hearing of the Generalissimo’s death while he was living in Spain.
The Internationale is the anthem of international socialism, and gained particular fame under the Soviet Union. Why Thilo choose to sing it in FRENCH in his native Spain is anyone guess, but I think he just wanted to impress us by relating his linguistic abilities. Remember this international idiot is the Chair of the Saratoga Springs Democratic Committee, but not for long. Thilo it appears is a little long in tooth and he plans to head to Berkley California were all good Socialist go to die.

That brings us to the Chairman in waiting, the Wall Street Shyster Peter Martin who is patiently waiting in the wings for Thilo to get on with his trip to the Socialist boneyard.
Martin is living proof that even an expensive wardrobe still can’t improve the look of a man who seems to be doing a Hugh Hefner impersonation. All the man needs is a pipe and a bunny.
So the wildcard in this Circus of freaks is Michele Madigan? I only hope she will listen to some of her sane advisors who helped her win the election. And remember Michele I’m watching along with the rest of the city to see if you’re normal or just another two year footnote in the Saratoga history books. Like I said last night I’m going to give you a chance and hopefully you’ll act in the best interest of the city.

You're right about the scirrocco clan they were all pretty plowed at the holiday Inn election night and openly happy Ivins got beat..how sick is that? Scirocco is a RINO. All he knows how to do is spend money on "more guys." He thinks that Kathy Moron has his best interests in mind, when in fact all she cares about is getting more and more Union members on the City payroll. There is a reason the Dems don't run anyone against him, he does what they want him to do and he's easily manipulated. Why should they oppose him when they can control him? Skip has not done, on his own and without being forced to do so by the rest of the City Council, a single thing in four years that saves money for the taxpayers. OF COURSE he's going to campaign against Ivins! Mad Mic Madigan, who got the Unions' endorsements, will give him all the money he wants to hire a bunch more guys!

I'm wondering if the Keehniacs still in charge of the Democratic City Committee have noticed that Madigan, who successfully reached out to non-Keehniac Dems, and Chris Matthiesen, who stayed out of all the committee conflict, were the 2 Dems who won. Wilkes, whose charter stuff was embraced by the Keehniacs but was unpopular with many other Dems was the loser.

Don't be too hard on John Sweeney. His personal life was messy secondary to alcoholism. However, he was one of only a few congressmen who tried to reign in Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac. When the head of Fannie was trying to be sure Fannie kept it's Federal money and the taxpayers remained totally responsible for Fannie/Freddy's losses Sweeney was almost alone in challenging the giants. When Fannie presented thousands of letters to Congress from the poor grateful homeowners who thanked Fannie for letting them share in the American Dream of owning a home the only Congressman who questioned this was Sweeney. He actually called every letter writer from his district and discovered the letters were complete fabrications. They were forged. Sweeney had an alcohol problem. But he did stand up against Fannie when no one else did. Don't make him a punch line. He doesn't deserve it.
Well as far as John Sweeney goes there is the little matter of his good friend Joe Bruno’s granddaughter and that little stripper in Double Visions. You can blame a lot of this behavior on Alcohol but you can’t blame it all.
And don’t even try to say this young women {girls really} took advantage of him.
Sweeeney was your typical Bush-era Republican, devoted to tilting the system in favor of Wall Street, the upper bracket earners and the oil industries. Nice try, Joker 6:14, but your revisionist attempt here (not to mention your outright lies) just makes you look like a full fledged idiot.

I can give credit to Benton for following vehicle laws when riding his bicycle. If he goes to the DPS hopefully he will spread this good practice to all bicycle riders in Saratoga.

The story about John Sweeney and is confrontation of Fannie is recounted in the current bestseller about the economic crisis "Reckless Endangerment" by Gretchen Morgenson and Joshua Bosner. the story about Sweeney calling everyone of his constituents who supposedly authored letters in support of Fannie Mae is recounted at page 146. I'm not a big Sweeney fan but this is a true story, not a "lie."
Lew Benton would be an excellent choice for DPS...would once again provide the only brains in City Hall. Watch out Mayor, what comes around goes around...
