Barbara Bouchey, NXIVM and the plot to buy the iconic Adelphi Hotel in Downtown Saratoga Springs.

I first heard the about the world of NXIVM in 2006, it wasn’t a very flattering report. An unsuspecting landlord had rented office space to fiscal consultant and wealth management specialist Barbara Bouchey on Union Ave in Saratoga Springs. Soon stories of mad laughter, blood curdling screams and twenty four hour “meetings” were making the rounds through the tightknit Broadway community. The conversation was always in hushed tones as I was told “their people” were everywhere including working in city hall. Seems Barbara was a little more than an ordinary fiscal consultant and wealth management specialist, she was a high ranking member of the NXIVM inner circle and was running a quasi-training center in her Union Ave office.
Fortunately the landlord had no sympathies for NXIVM@company and booted Bouchey out on her ass. Next she landed on Wells St but it was becoming obvious that NXIVM would need a grander and more permanent location.

In June 2006 according to the Times Union reporter Dennis Yusko [HERE} Bouchey was a straw purchaser{here} for Romano's Family Restaurant on Route 9 in Halfmoon for $650,000. The next day, she filed architectural designs with the town to turn the 4,056-square-foot restaurant into four large offices, a public office space, a reception area, a cafe and bathrooms, according to the plans. We all know what the real intentions of the center were as I have well documented here as it is little more a NXIVM “clubhouse” but what isn’t widely known is that Barbara Bouchey approached Sheila Parkert owner of the Adelphi Hotel in 2008 in what is now widely viewed as another straw purchase for NXIVM.


Again according to Dennis Yusko of the Albany Times Union the hotel was listed for $7,785,000 in 2008{here} but for reasons unknown NXIVM's plans fell through.

Interestingly enough, the dream in Bouchey's head didn’t die as this remarkable e-mail from 2009 {after she left NXIVM} shows between her and potential investors “HERE” {scroll down to exhibit B} . This bazaar and rambling e-mail details grandiose plans to rename it as “The Adelphi Rose” and turn it into a “conference center” claiming that the “javotex is moving” and goes on to describe her opulent lifestyle, of traveling 5 stars on the Orient Express through Thailand {I traveled by public boat with chickens on my lap to get around Thailand} and of meeting the author William Warren [here}who just couldn’t resist lunch with a “hot babe” like herself in the trains bar .

And while Bouchey dreamt of the Raffles Hotel in Singapore {here} I was staying in a place with a bathroom down the hall in one of Bangkok’s more interesting neighborhoods.12 bucks a night{here}

I can only thank god that she was unable to find financing for the project as I’m afraid although Bouchey has lost faith in the organization she still believes in the “technology” and the last thing this town needs is another NXIVM lite program masquerading as a “educational center” in downtown.

Let this be a warning to my fellow citizens and neighbors. NXIVM is active, well financed and looking to grow in this city. Soon I will be spotlighting NXIVM cells in Saratoga so stay tuned.

Now live From The State of Washington the Dones/Woolhouse bankruptcy saga.
Well, the battle has continued on in the Dones/Woolhouse bankruptcy cases and, once again, David gave Goliath a nice little kick in the balls. Although NXIVM had been given permission to take the depositions of several people that are unconnected to the case, it failed to serve many of them within the applicable time period. So, rather than just admit that they fucked up and ask for an across-the-board extension, NXIVM tried to convince the judge that it has been unable to locate these people and/or that they’ve been evading NXIVM’s high-priced process servers.
But, lo and behold, the judge ruled that there would be no extension of time for NXIVM to serve several of the people that NXIVM wanted to depose (Peter Skolnik, Joe OHara, and Joyce Anastasia) and that it has to complete service on several others by the end of July (Barbara Bouchey, Shelia Cote, and Jan Heim).

In arguing why he shouldn’t be deposed, Skolnik pointed out that he was acting as an “informal pro bono attorney” for Dones and Woolhouse, which meant that all of his discussions with them about their case are protected under the attorney/client privilege doctrine. And OHara argued that he was certain no one had tried to serve him for the past 2 months because throughout that time, he’s been at home recovering from a recent injury and related surgery. (See Here).

Meanwhile, NXIVM has failed to produce any of the documents and records that Dones and Woolhouse have been seeking and that the judge has ordered NXIVM to produce here. Although writing lots and lots of words that make it sounds like NXIVM is being responsive. (See Here). Even better, NXIVM has now claimed, on the record that “the following individuals are co-conspirators in one or more unlawful schemes to harm NXIVM and its business prospects: Susan Dones, Kim Woolhouse, Peter Skolnik, Joe O’Hara, Barbara Bouchey, Nina Cowell, Angela Ucci, Jan Heim, Joyce Anastasia, Ellen Gibson, Shelia Cote, Kathy Ethier, Toni Natalie, Rick Ross, John Tighe, Yuri Plyam and Natalia Plyam” HERE. It is expected that Elvis and Sasquatch will be added to the list of evil-doers next!

As unbelievable as it may seem, Steve (I use to be “the Man” but now I’m just Vanguard’s mouthpiece) Coffey has now joined the massive legal team that is trying to bitch slap these two NXIVM defectors intro submission. (See HERE).
Other members of the team include Pamela (I need a license plate for my wide ass) Nichols and Richard (What the fuck am I doing here?) Weiskopf, two of Coffey’s associates at the once admired O’Connell & Aronowitz law firm; Paul Swanson and Tiffany Scott from the previously prestigious law firm of Lane Powell PC in Seattle, WA; and, of course, the one-and-only Stormin’ Mormon, Bob (I like to go on camping trips with boy scouts) Crockett.

The legal papers have been really flying in Washington for the past few weeks as both sides have tried to wrap up their pre-trial preparations. Some of the latest developments in this sad example of how NXIVM uses the Bronfman brats’ inherited money to terrorize its enemies through the legal system are:
- Toni Natalie is challenging NXIVM’s attempt to take her deposition. (See HERE).
- Barbara Bouchey is challenging NXIVM’s attempt to take her deposition. (See HERE).
- Shelia Cote is challenging NXIVM’s attempt to take her deposition. (See HERE).
- Susan Dones and Kim Woolhouse have asked the Court to dismiss all of NXIVM’s claims because of its failure to turn over any of the documents and records that the Court ordered it to do. (See HERE).
- NXIVM has asked the Court to order Dones to pay for Kristin Keeffe’s recent trip out to Washington for a deposition that had to be re-scheduled (No word yet on whether this will include charges for Gaelen’s babysitters as LipoPam called her Gaelen's MOTHER). (See HERE).
- Swanson, who apparently suffers from a bad case of Small Man Syndrome, is demanding that the Court force Dones and Woolhouse to follow all of his commands (Court attendees describe him as looking like an-feminist Chihuahua that has been left in the front seat of a car for way too long).
All of this has really pissed off NXIVM's attorneys HERE

The latest legal filings include some juicy tidbits of information and allegations about Vanguard, NXIVM and the Bronfman brats, such as:
- Clare and Sara are paying all of the attorneys who are representing NXIVM and its various representatives in this case, like Jimmy DelNegro, Kristin Keefe. Wendy Rosen-Brooks and Charmel Bowden. (I ain’t an expert on tax law but that sure sounds like “attributed income” to me).
- Keefe is one of Raniere’s many girlfriends. (Not exactly shocking news).
- Raniere and Keefe both got slapped up alongside the head when they tried to fuck up Toni Natalie’s bankruptcy case (See HERE and HERE).
- Raniere’s total losses in the commodities market was $70 million.
- NXIVM is using the Dones/Woolhouse case as a “fishing grounds” to gather evidence for use in other cases
- Because of NXIVM’s pattern of litigation, those who are being sued by NXIVM often have trouble finding attorneys to represent them.
- Bouchey has already spent $400,000 on legal fees and owes another $250,000.
- Natalie has requested permission not to answer any questions that she believes “may aid and/or abet NXIVM and/or Raniere in the commission of criminal acts” – which, if granted, may mean that she only has to give NXIVM her name and address.
- Natalie has also requested that her deposition be conducted in an open forum that can be attended and/or recorded by anyone who is approved by her or NXIVM – which, if granted, may require NXIVM to rent the Palace Theater for that deposition.
- Cote has revealed that the name “the Roses” refers to a fraternal society of women in the late 1600’s who came together to support and help each other – and that Barbara Bouchey planned to change the name of the Adelphi Hotel to the Adelphi Rose Hotel when she acquired it. (More on this tidbit next post).

In addition to all of the action out in Tacoma, NXIVM and the Bronfmans have also been very active in their new lawsuits against Bouchey. And NXIVM’s case against Rick Ross – which, along the way, morphed into Ross’ claims against NXIVM – is almost to the point where the judge will set a trial date. And the Bronfmans claims against Joe Ohara are headed to appeal, as is their recent “victory” against the Plyams.

O what a great time it is to be an attorney without regard for the sleaziness of your clients!

Sara Bronfman catches Saffron fever again

Well spoiled little rich tart Sara Bronfman was said to be hanging out in the Catskill village of Woodstock NY this past weekend, paling around with his royal highness, grand poobah, king of kings, enlightened one and stud muffin Ogyen Trinley Dorje.

So who is Mr. Dorje? Well it’s complicated, see first you got the Dalai Lama, but he ain’t getting any younger and someone must carry on the Billion dollar a year enterprise known officially as the Gelug or "Yellow Hat" branch of Buddhism. Now unlike the Pope who is elected the next Lama is reincarnated from an old Lama. But as you could guess when ever a Lama is in a position to control over a billion dollars in assets, lands and trusts the selection process can be a little messy HERE. But right now Mr. Dorje seems to have the upper hand, despite being visibly too old for his stated age along with accusations of being a Chinese spy Here
and being found with a million or so under his mattress HERE
as long as he has the big Dalai’s blessing he’s the man. here

So just for kicks I headed up to the Village today for Mr. Dorje’s long anticipated public appearance at 3:00 at the Comeau park in downtown Woodstock to get a picture of the saffron robed fellow with Sara perhaps in tow.
So I set myself up in a nice spot and watched as a flat bedded truck was pulled up, then decorated with flowers all in a pouring rain. Then a caravan of black Cadillac Escalades came up and some mean looking men packing heat with earpieces on jumped out. Next a Chrysler 300 with full tinted glass pulled in looked around and sped away quickly followed by the caravan of Escalades. Next monks in now very wet saffron robes packed up the flowers as men and women were left weeping in the wet field as it became apparent Mr. Dorje had no intention of getting wet. The zoo continued as more and more people attempted to enter the one lane road only to turn around to go back, the police were called to clean up the mess.
I on the other hand scooted up the mountain to the Buddhist compound known as the Karma Triyana Dharmachakra or KTD Here But unlike my other visits the closed sign was up and no one was letting me in. Later from their website Ogyen Trinley Dorje gave a private talk to the chosen few in the very dry and richly ornate throne room, I have no word on Sara or if she is spending the night.

Sara Bronfman has a history of befriending various Lamas. here

Insiders tell me this is done at the urging of her master Keith Raniere who is said to have convinced her that she is she is descended from the Mindrolling lineage, known for its great female masters, and is a Tulku, a reincarnated teacher. Sara desperate to find any meaning in her life and in an attempt to justify her unearned billion dollar inheritance laps it up like a little dumb puppy.

Anyone who thinks this is anti-Buddhist, nothing could be farther from the truth. This is anti bullshit and anti-corruption. I just don’t like to see people living like Pashas while devoted followers live in squalor in dirt floor shacks while donating some of their meager earning so Mr. Dorje’s saffron robe can find its way to Sara’s bedroom floor.

I’ve spent a considerable amount of time in Thailand and have enjoyed the hospitality of many Buddhist friends, but most of these are largely of the Theravada school who have no Lamas just ordained monastics who are forbidden from standing for office or voting in election.
Most return to lay life after two or three years and go one to have families. I dare say most of them find the fascination of rich Americans with Tibetan Buddhism as a bit silly

NXIVM and the Bronfman brats; Shut the fuck up bitch

Well boys and girls I spent the hottest day of the year not at my beloved Victoria Pool but sweating in a Court room in beautiful downtown Albany so you my faithful readers could have a front row seat to the latest chapter of the continuing NXIVM, Bronfman brats follies.
Today in the Albany County Supreme Court a hearing was held to determine if NXIVM-Bronfmans should be granted a restraining order to effectively shut Barbara Bouchey up. The hearing was held at 9:30 am with the Honorable Roger D. McDonough presiding.

I will list the players and my “PERSONAL opinions” of them. Anyone else might have sat in the same courtroom and had a completely different impression.

Honorable Roger D. McDonough; A patient and intelligent fellow both of which will be needed in the upcoming trial.
Ms. Pam Nichols; attorney for NXIVM; Ms. Nichols wore a light blue business suit that looked like it came off the clearance rack of Macys. The back of the skirt was a bit wrinkled. This only caused it to cling to her rather large derriere further enhancing its bountiful proportions. Her hair appeared to have a fresh coat of peroxide as no discernable roots were present. Perhaps if Ms. Nichols insists on suing someone may I suggest your liposuction clinic for a full refund.
William F. Savino; attorney for the Bronfman Brats; A Senior Partner and the Chair of the Business Litigation and Insolvency Department at the Infamous Damon Morey Law firm out of beautiful Buffalo NY HERE. Mr. Savino is a small frumpy man wearing an ill-fitting suit, who for the life of me resembles a large turtle

Ms Bouchey; defendent, she looked pretty good. Wearing an attractive 2 piece outfit that complemented her small frame. Her hair though still long was coiffed quite nicely and was no longer straight.

Others in a court; Me always looking dapper, a reporter from the TU, a man with a passing resemblance to Telly Savalas, and one last women in the back who I didn’t notice till my way out.

Part 2; the Hearing
The Judge opened with Bronfman brats vs Bouchey calling on Ms. Bouchey and warning her on the dangers of representing herself pro se. Ms. Bouchey explained that NXIVM and the Bronfman brats, who she described “as twins that can’t be separated” had bankrupted her and destroyed her business to the point she couldn’t get a car loan much less hire a attorney. She then commented on her brief in opposition to the motion that he described as being a product of an obviously talented and smart mind. Then warned that even that is no substitute for competent legal help.

Next up was Tutleman Savino, who claimed that all the brats wanted was a very narrow restraining order that was limited to the Brats fiscals and bookkeeping records. Then Bouchey argued that if anyone anywhere mentioned the brats that they would blame her and bring a contempt motion to the court.
Then I believe what Bouchey said was, that the brats had filed a complaint against the licensing board of Fiscal planners and had tried to have her professional license yanked. I believe Bouchey said she was exonerated in this matter and has retained her professional license much to the chagrin of the Bronfmans.
Never less the Judge granted the narrow restraining order but not before reassuring Bouchey that any frivolous motions for contempt brought by the Bronfmans would result in sanctions against Tutleman Savino.
One last point I must mention, the Judge asked if Bouchey would voluntarily sign a consent order and then asked Mr Turtle if his clients would drop the suit if the consent order was for perpetuity? Mr.Turtle said, that would be his advice to the brats but with no guarantee, it was obvious that Bouchey doesn’t trust the Bronfmans and indicated her preference was to see the trial through to completion

Part3 NXIVM vs Bouchey;The dreaded confidentiality agreement
Bouchey went first and admitted she signed a confidentiality agreement which she described as ambiguous and overly broad. Still the judge said she signed it and this wasn’t the time to argue the legality of the issue. Bouchey protested but the writing was already on the wall.

LipoPam then got up and her derriere cast a long shadow across the court. Lipo augued that in order for her to be paid she had to say something so she managed to sneak in the fact that Bouchey wrote a letter that NXIVM didn’t like. She then sat down and sunlight bathed the court again.

McDonough issued the restraining order and NXIVM and The Bronfman brats got out the message this was really all about. Till next time see you at the pool.
