Times Unions article blasts Saratoga Housing Authority travel expenses
" The director, board chairman and employees billed $31,875 in 2011 and $25,186 in 2010 for travel, lodging and training costs, according to the housing authority, which released its travel ledger this week under the state's Freedom of Information laws."

Well there have been a lot of developments in the Housing Authority crisis. First we have dueling news stories in the Saratogian HERE and the Times Union HERE.
The Times Union is reporting that Mayor Scott Johnson will be having a press conference on Monday and will be meeting with residents at the Stonequist Apartments on Tuesday at 2 p.m. Jan. 31, and of course I will be arrested, and handcuffed if I try to attend.
The Saratogian is reporting about the Tuesday meeting with Johnson and the Tenants.
Commissioner of Accounts also has a public workshop scheduled for Tue at 7 p.m. Jan. 31 in the City Council Chambers at City Hal. So we have dueling meetings.
While I have been banned from all Authority grounds by Ed Spychalski and Dennis Brunelle and with the blessing and muscle of the Saratoga Springs Police Department who have labeled me a suspicious person, I never less have been able to continue to document abuses by Spychalski.
In these remarkable photos, we see the return of Housing Authority Jeep BPD 3490 that hadn’t been seen in a long time. Rumors would suggest the jeep has been for the exclusive use of Ed Spychalski’s wife who is the only family member not on the Authority payroll. The jeep was said to have been kept in Spychalski’s three car garage at his palatial estate in Halfmoon 20 miles from the city.
But look closely at the windshield in the above photo and you will see a NYC EZ pass transponder on the windshield. This caused a foil request to be sent to the Authorities attorney who responded that
“The Housing Authority doesn’t have an EZ pass”
The next day as this photo shows the transponder is gone.
What that means my friend is that someone was using their personal transponder on an Official Government vehicle that was being used for personal outings. The fact that the EZ pass Transponder was removed only confirms the vehicle was being used for an illegal purpose.
This is theft from the government . I’m not a lawyer so I can’t tell you the statute.
But I know the DA needs to get a search warrant for those EZ pass records to see where that jeep has been. No excuses this time.

Ah oh--guess the PR guy wasn't around to tell them to take the EZPass and the velcro tabs off when Ed returned the missing jeep.
Stories in the TU, Gazette, and Saratogian. These dimwits had to pay the PR guy to come up with statements about whether they were going to attend a meeting. More money for the coverup less money for the bedbug fight
The NY Times had an article yesterday about bedbugs being found at the Ritz-Carlton. Guess all those customes spending $695 and up a night must have been moving used furniture in when no one was looking. Anyway the article mentions that emplyees cleaning the rooms were not warned about the bedbugs. Management is finally getting around to notifying employees and giving them "bedbug training." So this raises the question of when were the Housing AUthority employees notified of the bedbug problem and what kind of training have they been given so that they don't bring bedbugs home and contmainate their homes and families?
The chubby little moron doughboy is going to look so cute to Bubba and the other inmates in an orange jumpsuit. I suggest he start limbering up his sphincter for an extended stay. Poor Ed. Make an example of this bumbling pile of corruption and anyone else culpable.
Go to the meeting, gently get arrested, promptly get released. Then SUE the City for Illegal Imprisonment AND Violation of your Civil Rights. I know you're hesitant to make yourself the "News" and that's admirable AND why we love you. But your stories and your postings are only a minor nuisance UNTIL you cost "The Powers" real MONEY and real TROUBLE.
Have at 'em and HIT 'em where it hurts. The City's had an E-Z Pass long enough.
Call Ed's bluff and take 'em down... with a vengeance.

friends, what do I say to a neighbor who neither has bugs, nor any issue with the Manager, when she knocks on my door & said "Teresa, I told Judy these ladies need to stop beating up on Teresa; leave the poor girl alone!" This lady is SO upset about this mess and how she hears me being torn apart in the Great Room by SO many people; but..I could only tell here thank you for your support...I'm doing fine. Don't you worry, let's see when the mayor comes on the 31st Let's see if they yell and squawk like they did at the Board of Director's meeting, because I'll be there with my Passport showing that I was in Costa Rica in 2010, clearly 14 mos before the bug issue happened; I couldn't find words to comfrot this poor woman; she's CLEARLY and visibly upset by all this...and she's told me more than once how they rip me apart...but...I continue to hold my head up high! And Brunelle...aww POOR Mr Brunelle, he can't make the meeting because he's too busy getting tanned in Florida..awww; I'd THINK if he had a care in the world, he'd fly UP specifically for this meeting, then fly back down to his mai-tais the next mornng...but NOOOooo! THAT would mean paying for his own ticket!
2:59, the "women" that are being immature and bothering that woman and gossiping about her need to watch what they do and say. If they're constantly harassing her, that could be grounds for Eviction as well as have the police called on them. She could get a restraining order which would mean they'd have to move. The gossiping, could be possible grounds for defamation, libel and/or slander. They are not immune just because they kiss Ed's butt. If a tenant he didn't like was harassing a tenant he did like, I guarantee you he'd do something about it, but since it's the other way around he doesn't care. Just like if his employees act nasty to a tenant, he doesn't care, but if a tenant says anything that might be taken as "cross" to his employees...you feel his wrath.
I have more than 5 residents who told me they're tired of hearing these women sit down there and batter my name around; I don't care; I'm in my room being happy, reading, talking to my family on the phone, cleaning, etc; I KNOW their names. And the videotape PROVES that Myrtle Clapp keeps harping on my trip- what? Is she jealous? NOW I go downstairs to get my mail & I'm told Myrtle is going around telling everyone I'm going to sue her! HAHAHA my time with my dad is more precious than being in court because of the likes of HER. I'm bad because they think I did all this to Ed...NOW she thinks I'm going to sue her...BWUAHAHAHA Can you see what type of people live here? THAT is why I just stay up here, I like the view better on the 6th floor.
NEWSFLASH: Ed is giving away the bedframe leg cups!!! SOooo, I am told the ladies who've already paid are demanding their money back!! I told this lady that better get on line for a bed casing, because you wait & see, just to look good, Ed'll be giving THOSE away too! (he needs to look good for the City Council meeting)And she told me she's told them 6 times she needs covers & they haven't got to her; she just got a new mattress; all I could do was tell her fill out a work order...gee...maybe if I take my OWN advice, I'll get a new fridge???

Great detective work on the transponder pics! Thank you John for continuing to shine a light for rest of us to see what goes on behind the scenes in our local gov't. You are a hero to stand up against all the gov't parasites and the desperate shit they try to throw at you. You get my vote any day! Maybe you should run for public office?? Articles in the TU today--Saturday--and front page of the Gazette. Was the nun ok with all this mismanagement? Maybe somebody ought to look into how Catholic Charities spends their money if this is her idea of how to run a not for profit....

The nun was apparently schooled in traditional catholic denial and intimidation, because she was one of the board members some tenants approached a few years ago about the sex offender operating a fitness center at Stonequist. I believe her response to them was to stay out of it or there could be repercussions for the tenants.
HUD needs to follow the example of the owner of the Indianapolis Colts: i.e., fire the General Manager; fire the entire coaching staff; get rid of your aging and disabled quarterback; and bring in some new talent. What a clusterfuck the Housing Authority has turned out to be.
Please correct me if I'm wrong. What I'm getting from the TU article about their trips is that they're going on these trips paid for by our taxes, then they're claiming those trips on their taxes too?

I have had 2 people who I love that have been given a trespass order for no reason other then they have long hair and love me and care about me! I almost lost my public health nurse because she would not tell them the apartmant she was going to!!! Johnathan called the police on her and tryed to have her barred, Ed proceeded to call her names such as you could be a DRUG DEALER, he insisted she tell him who she was seeing and didn't care about the HIPA law. I feel I have no rights here and I am so afraid of Ed's Retalations.
Who will be barred next, my whole family and all of my friends! Where does it end?
MARECARES I hope you'll go to the City Council meeting and tell your story ~ we need MORE people to show cause for an investigation! I've personally seen a health care worker get grilled by Jonathan Spychalski and he was going into the office & she went up in the elevator with me & called her superior to let them know she was harassed. A tenant was taking out about a 2X3ft rug to the trash on the patio and Jonathan grilled her about that rug; he told her if she left it outside she'd get charged a dumping fee for it;I will protect her name, but a lot of people besides me have heard her story; it CLEARLY fit into the garbage can!! His authority was supposed to be ONLY for security at the door...not grilling people on what they were throwing away! They wn't let us throw our things away out in the trash barrel, yet they still allow people to put things down in the Great Room on the tables for others to take and THEN Ed will be calling us all trashpickers! Why can't WE have a dumpster out back for the larger items we need to throw away like Jefferson Terrace has? Because at a few Tenant meetings Ed has said "do you know what it costs to have a dumpster out there"? Yes...SO worried about expenditures..hmmm do you see something WRONG with this picture?

well,like the person who videotaped the bedbug on his wall,I, too, have my apartment like a fortress against these things,and today on my neck & face...I have found 3 (THREE) larvae(pupae?); how do I know? I have a jeweler's loupe and I inspected them, then cut them in 2 & sure enough they all were identical in body...to the photos of baby bug. I do NOT know how I'm going to sleep tonight;I've sprayed that poison bedbug spray all over my hair this afternoon & still rubbed my neck & found one; I've gone through my hair 4 times with a nit comb.I have NO idea other than that they're either falling off the ceiling or are in my closet..I threw out one top I had on, thinking maybe it had an infestation, but the second top had no eggs in the seams.I just do NOT know how I'm going to sleep tonight.I HAD only been finding the bugs as recently as Friday in my bathtub,but now...these babies.They are clearish white and I just don't even want to infect my bed again! I paid over $300 to get the initial bedcasings before I knew we could get them more reasonably priced.I have 500 count Egyptian cotton sheets that I paid a hefty sum for. I already have 2 protective covers on my bottom mattress; pillows I bought brand new in August went to the trash in November, I use a throw pillow with a pillowcase on it.I'm trying to stay calm and stay awake...to see if I have any more since I have scalded myself once more in the shower.This, dear citizens, is the psychological stress we are going through! My hair is falling out like crazy.Do I sleep in my bed? Or sit in my chair all night? Where did they come from? I just laundered everything in a public laundry today...I won't launder anything in this building, since I had seemed to have gotten rid of any sign of bugs...the laundry room here is disgusting & the machines I need to use are out of order; the kid across the hall told me he has the bugs in his sofa & took it downstairs & outside this afternoon...I had him & his girlfriend in & tried to tell them things they could do,all the tips I've learned. But now, here I sit, scared to sleep for fear of finding another baby on my face or neck. I have the telltale tiny red dots on my neck, my forearm, my wrist. (I don't seem to be as highly affected as most people when they bite me)HERE I GO AGAIN! WHEN the HELL are they going to bring in some PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE and stop trying to do this on their own?!?!?! I have NOT seen a professional person come in to TREAT yet!!!
I saw in the Saratogian how the police department is lacking officers and is looking to hire more. If there wasn't 6 officers hanging out with Ed over at Stonequist, then there would be more officers out doing their job.
Dear Anonymous 11:10, please, please go to the city council meeting Tuesday night at 7 and tell your story. The council and the public need to hear these stories so ED can't get away with saying he's taken care of everything over there
The court should sentence Ed, his family, and Brunelle to live in a bed bug infested apartment until such time the problem is resolved. He'd benefit not needing to drive back and forth to Halfmoon too.

After all,it was my plea to City Council that commenced this free-fall; thank you...I just wish MORE tenants would come and speak.They have to know they shouldn't be afraid of Ed Spychalski ANY MORE! I thank the public citizens and taxpayers for taking care of what we can't..thank you for the time you've dedicated to investigations, etc...and thank you JT for this space to speak freely. I have tried diligently and with my heart not to speak poorly about the Board, speaking the truth is ALL I have been doing these past almost 3 months and I'm tired...tired of the "side-speak" and smoke-blowing by the Management here, and if anyone DOES NOT believe me, I can let them come stay with me here for 2 or 3 days & see how poorly I'm treated by other residents...how scary it is to sleep at night...how when I get up out of this chair, I go to the tub & check for bugs, I go to the mirror & check my neck for bugs, I flip back my sheets during the day to make sure there is nothing in my bed...all the other investigations are NOT MY DOING.I remain dedicated to my plea for funding against bedbugs and I continue to hold my head up high. THIS, too, shall pass;in the meantime I'm rubbing the legs of my wood table & chairs with peppermint oil, checking my tub,walls and baseboards, since now that I've seen that nothing we're doing is effective...once more I'm nervous and steaming my hair, spraying it with toxic bedbug spray, and all this will not help me..ONLY PROFESSIONAL TREATMENT WILL
