The Housing Authority puts out a little newsletter each month called the housing authority inquirer. Ed always the proud father made his son a regular feature in the newsletter that was until his status is being questioned in front of the Civil Service board. See the idea that Johnathan was Director of Security was just an illusion or at least that’s what Spychalski would have you believe

If he did nothing wrong and deserves so much more than he's making...then why did he bother going through the trouble of hiding/changing some details? One could only wonder what else he's been covering up.
I find it interesting,sad, and frustrating how silent the local Dems have been on this. They seem to only be able get vocal on issues like charter change and how bad the Rec Center is because there isn't enough parking. When it comes to serious issues affecting people's lives especially the most vulnerable in the community they are nowhere to be found even though they now control the council. They get outraged over a dirt lot being turned into an indoor recreation space near low income housing once some upscale houses were built nearby but where are they when federal funds meant to improve the lives of the elderly and disabled are pissed away on enhancing the lifestyle of the Executive Director, his family, and Board members ( Brunnelle is not the only Board member to accompany Ed on "conferences" to fun places like Las Vegas) Shame on them.
Yup--where are Brentt Wilkes, the Goldbergs, Thilo, et all on this. Their silence is telling..
So Orwellian--now they're rewriting history over at the Authority. Too bad they're not using all the time and energy they're putting into expunging the record into fighting bedbugs

Is it just me, or does the tome of those monthly newsletters have a 1984 quality about them. Sounds to me like the Spychalski family have confused Stonequist with Gitmo...
Is it 1984 or Alice in Wonderland at the Housing Authority. Brunnelle and Spychalski must have their heads in the Ft Lauderdale sand to think this will get them off the hook for violating Civil Service law. Don't they know a cover up always makes things worse

BED BUG TREATMENT TIME LINE
TO DATE:
Providing equipment to residents (steamers).
Providing educational material to residents for treatment and prevention.
On-site inspection of up to 18 units (have reported issues) with a third party (Pest Control Co.) i.e. Exterminator contact and outside Entomologist after inspection concludes.
Purchased Bed Interceptions and mattress encasements for purchase by the residents. (Allows resident to pay over time).
Start treatment in house on any finding from the exterminators report from the inspection conducted.
Purchase additional steamers for other housing locations before the end of December.
***Work with Civil Service to see about one additional employee to handle on site extermination before the end of January 2012.
Currently there is little evidence to suggest anything other than isolated problems.
The Housing Authority has and will continue to take a proactive approach towards working with residents to ensure that any concerns over the presence of Bed Bugs will be addressed.
I don't think the residents should have to pay for anything. It's Eds fault it got out of hand by failing to do anything in the first place, if anything, residents should sue for any medical and material damages from the bed bugs that came after he was informed of the situation and did nothing. It's also states in leases that pest control is provided (at least mine did). I'm actually going to consult a lawyer about the legality of it all.
Residents should sue this Ed dildo personally. He has that big house and I'm sure a derserving disabled person would enjoy living THERE while Ed and his family move into the apartments since they will be unemployed and destitute and certainly qualify. It's a lot easier to sue an incompetent individual than to sue a government agency which might have immunity.
The political douches wish John would go back to criticizing NXIVM, and NXIVM wishes John would continue criticizing the political douches.
Either way, the douches lose.
it's funny how he's head of security or was of a 1 person crew...which is himself....I live in the building and he just sits there with his ear plugs in and surfing the net.
I see where that crazy lady with her own Saratoga blog is trying to steal some of John's thunder on this.
She writes her own repeat story on it, and then pretends that some source fed her some important information about it.
Just why would a source feed info to someone with a blog that has such a poor reputation and so few readers?

To 12:41 PM, Who is the blogger who said she got this info from a source? I'm the one who emailed John with this information and those pictures of proof were made by me, and I assure you I never emailed this info or those pictures to anyone else. They were only for John to use.
I, too, have originals of the newsletters from Nov and Dec, and I have photos of one of the 7 TV's in our first floor Lobby/great room/laundry room areas where the TV clearly shows the intention of Ed to scare the many financially compromised people in here into possibly having to pay $50 a month more for treatments of bedbugs. THIS incited many residents against ME, (job well done, Ed!) and also the day AFTER I went to City Council, Ed had his maintenance men drilling NO SMOKING signs in the back porch, threw away all the lawn chairs tenants had there when they go out to sit, socialize & smoke - including a lounge chair my brother & his wife donated to us! Threw them ALL in the dumpster!! The smokers got pissed off at ME, because NOW they have to walk out in the rain & snow to the butt element to smoke; HOWEVER...we're not allowed to even bring down a rug & leave it in the dumpsters...or WE will get a $50 dump fee...also...where is that $25 for installation & removal of A/c going every year? I have it noted in the MEMO area of my checks...the maintenance team is doing that work ON COMPANY TIME...and yet, we are paying them a "bonus" and God forbid you have someone from family or the outside install! Also...that $100 "lockout fee"? Who gets THAT $? I have already questioned that, since I have a brother who works for a FL city "on call" sometimes...and he doesn't get any extra $ for jobs he goes to...so I thought these maintenance workers were paid the same way, since it's gov't. Ed told me in front of witnesses at a meeting that they do NOT get paid an hourly wage while "on call" here in NY,and those $100 goes TO the maintenance man on call when you lock yourself out. Funny, but when the HUD REAC came to inspect in August, that list of prices for items needing to be replaced etc,suddenly...that $100 fee was reduced to $50 - I mentioned it to someone days later & they said OH NO it's still the same go look! So I did and sure enough it was returned to $100...darn, I SHOULD have gotten a photo of that page!!I had lost my faith in mankind in November...but after going to City Council I see that mankind didn't even KNOW what was going on & now I feel renewed & hopeful..thank you for your blog! And thank you to the supporters of my plea for funding...as of today, I was notified by a neighbor on my floor that she, having all the accoutrements to fight against the bugs found 2 in her bathroom this morning!that means...I can't EVER stop searching my bed, my tub, my floors.I thought maybe it would get better...we NEED A PROFESSIONAL EXTERMINATION SERVICE IN HERE!! PLEASE!! oh, and when you see me on the street, or in a store? just know that I am NOT a dumpster diver, all MY furnishings are my own, I brought them here with me from my old apt; all purchased new and I am NOT on meds, or drugs, or an alcoholic, or a sludge...I am a proper woman who dresses nicely, used to always wear makeup (I've been lax due to sheer exhaustion in my new housekeeping duties, steaming) and keep myself clean! We are ALL not like the schlumps some of the citizens make us out to be; we used to be able to afford your housing, but can't any more...and that's why we're here. Well, most of us...except some of the ones placed in here in the past year ex:1: a guy who, not 3 wks after moving in tried to rape a neighbor & broke her arm!(this guy had previously attacked someone & set her house on fire! do you know HOW many women live ALONE in this building? When we asked why so many odd people were being allowed to move in here, we were told that "the ACLU says we HAVE to give them housing; we can't discriminate"! Guess who said that!? I question the screening process here.
