Well today I had the pleasure of attending the Saratoga Housing Authority Board of Directors monthly meeting. It took a municipal form of Papal dispensation for me to attend, as I am still subject to a “no trespass order” but do to the intervention of Public Safety Commissioner Christian Mathiesen, Saratoga Police chief Chris Cole and the Saratoga County DA I was able to enter the sacred ground but just for the meeting.
But I was allowed in and treated very well. The meeting opened with the earlier video of Dennis Brunelle praising Housing Authority Executive Director Ed Spychalski to the point I was nauseated. This next video shows Brunelle claiming Ed Spychalski is suffering some form of post trauma stress syndrome.
Brunelle also said he looks forward to the state comptroller’s audit. This board simple refuses to admit any mistakes. Later we had a very fair comment period in which I was given a generous period of time to voice my concerns. There was a short break in the meeting to allow for executive session at which time we had to leave the room. It was at this point I was met by two Policeman in the lobby but they smiled and passed by.
Then we were allowed back in to ask more questions without Spychalski or the two Authority lawyers present. Again Brunelle listened and was attentive while I asked questioned ranging from why was I banned from the property to mold in Jefferson Terrace to why aren’t Housing Authority vehicles plainly marked with Saratoga Housing Authority decals? And while Brunelle listened I’m not sure he heard.

wow ,....poor ed is stressed......well u dumb clowns, try living with bedbugs for 6 months and then being told lies about them, try losing your social life cause u dont want to tell your friends u have bedbugs, try having your face put all over the media and they hear u say u have bedbugs, try to hide the bites u get from these bedbugs, try n get some sleep.....that is stress.....I'm not sorry to say....ed and dennis need to go......and the same goes for anyone else who kisses their ass......O no, I smell another Ed lawsuit.....well ed n dennis, your the ones that need to be sued....people of stonequist, if u felt stressed at anytime with or without these bedbugs in your apartment.....news flash..U CAN SUE....we need to unite and SUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
update, I spotted 3 bedbugs since this so called pest control company came in and sprayed...I don't think they sprayed within the walls....I noticed they didn't take off any of the electrical covers to the outlets

Well Brunelle is right about one thing--the Board does have full responsibility for Ed and shame on them
What's up with Al Colucci on this Board. All he did at this meeting was gloss over concerns about mold at the Terrace by praising Ed for having some sort of 5 year plan to replace windows. He didn't seem to grasp that Ed had just denied there even was a mold problem let alone that since there has been no investigation yet into this problem (bedbugs deja vu)maybe windows are not the problem or the solution. Al failed to stand out as any different from the rest of the go along board members. Let's hope Al does his homework before he speaks at the next meeting. What a disappointment

Brunelle continues to LIE in the video. The proof is in the newspapers. How could you be on top of the bed bug problem since it started in July, yet in September he and Ed were still saying there were no bed bugs? ANSWER THAT!
As for the abuse, I am proof that he does it. It doesn't matter if it's "isolated incidents", the fact that he is doing it to anyone is wrong. I call bull on this PTSD crap, but if it's true, then what he is feeling is exactly how he makes his tenants feel when he abuses them. I know, because every single day I lived in fear because of all him and his workers did to me.
Why do you think all these people are coming forward with stories of abuse from Ed and his staff? Because they're true. They have nothing to gain from coming forward, but they do have a lot to lose because Ed will find "legal" ways to get rid of those who tattled on him.
Here's a tip Ed, if you don't want people coming out and telling about how abusive you are... DON'T do it in the first place!
Al's presence on the Board is no more than that of being a lackey for the Mayor,Johnson knew about the bed bug problem 8 months ago and did nothing but keep it quite...Al's appointment to the SSHA is that of being "akin to the biggest City Hall White Wash Ever" The residents at Stonequist should already being filing a class action lawsuit,are there any hungary Lawyers out there who would take this easy winner?
Everyone knows that Al Colucci is the Mayor & Deptuy Mayor's puppet! They're in this a deep as Ed, that's why you don't hear a peep out of them, that's why there is no outrage from them & Al is on the board to try to smooth everything over (read cover-up).
Colucci seems to be Mr. Get Along Whitewash. How about the comment he made that he had made all these visits to Stonequist and 99% of the people there are happy. Really? How does he know that? A--did he talk, to every single resident and B even if he did what makes him think they would tell him, a stranger and new Board member if they weren't happy given that they don't know what he would run back to Ed with. Doesn't he read this blog? Does he think the comments here are just one or two cranky residents?? Why would he make a remark like this at his first board meeting. I can understand him not wanting to be real aggressively critical at his first meeting but why did he go out of his way to offer comments to make Ed and the rest of them look good? This Board needs new blood that will address the problems thoughtfully and honestly not another hear no evil, see no evil guy
So how long before Ed checks himself into a hospital for "stress related" symptoms. Great idea for a play for sympathy.
With the Comptroller and now Sen.Grassley on their case--see todays' Times Union!--that should up the stressometer for the CAP director, the nun and the professor as well as the other enabling Board members
I can get you documentation from Saratoga Mental Health from my psychiatrist, stating that they gave me an expedited intake appointment in December & I was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder FROM THIS INCIDENT! I don't discuss other parts of my life other than this subject at my meetings with her. I KNOW there is at least 1 other tenant being treated there for the same thing, but I don't know who it is, but someone told me "there is another tenant being treated here for the same thing". Due to HEPA laws, I don't really even need to know, I just know about me and all I still am suffering. HOPEFULLY, one day I'll be back to the happy sociable person I once was. Thankfully, I am NOT using meds to deal with my situation, I am facing it head on, because if I were to be on meds, I might be prone to the same mind-set all these other tenants have...the group hypnotic trance the other tenants are under who think this Manager has done a great job with this issue; WHO CARES about how the building was run 7,8,13 yrs ago?? This is today. How we are (mis)treated TODAY is all that matters to me! And I DON'T LIKE IT! They think Ed is doing such a great job here...well...compared to WHAT!? Maybe they lived in dismal places before, but I was NEVER POOR until I came here to this city; my personal circumstance put me here & it had NOTHING to do with drugs or alcohol...it was poverty. BUT that doesn't mean I'm not intelligent, lucid or articulate! AND I will NOT stand for living with bugs! and THAT is why I went to City Hall! Brunelle keeps living in his own dream world saying "we were on top of this since Day 1" and he answered someone's question by saying Day 1 waws late December; for ME? DAY ONE was AUGUST 1, 2011...and NO ONE was on top of this since then except me, and I kept talking to residents telling them what to do to keep bugs away...and I was told at meetings, that's enough, I don't want to hear another word about it...and I have other residents who heard it too...a man who doesn't have ANY STAKE in this issue. And Michelle Deyette...I was the one with my face, videos and photos of my humble yet beautiful apartment placed in public view for all to see. I am the one who walks around with people staring at me...you think I WANTED this to happen to me?? I am single...You think I'll EVER meet someone now? You think I'll EVER have a social life now in Saratoga? I THINK NOT! So, before you cry we have to get our good name back..I COME FIRST ON THAT LIST! I fought for EVERYONE but I see the negative feedback I get from my neighbors...so now my mindset is I DID THIS FOR ME! Screw you all, Stonequist neighbors!(well not ALL of you, there are some wonderful people who are SO grateful) I did THIS for Teresa Grocki!
I will be happy to get the medical documentation of my PTSD from the bedbugs if someone has a lawyer in mind, but I can't afford one right now...and then Disability will take it all($$) anyway...so why bother?
