Well I drove on down to Albany today to see for myself the Lee Kindlon press conference and boy am I glad I did. I had never met Mr. Kindlon and I must say he is an impressive fellow. The son of the prominent Albany defense lawyer Terence L. Kindlon as well as a Marine and Iraq war veteran, Kindlon is running against the baggage laden Albany County District Attorney David Soares in a Democratic primary .
We in Saratoga Springs are used to a healthy two party system but in Albany land no Republican has won office since the Civil War. To lose a Democratic primary in Albany is a one way ticket to the political bone yard and that looks to be where Soares is destined to be buried.Story is in the TU HERE
Soares has more enemies than I do, including New York’s immensely popular Governor Andrew Cuomo.
During the Occupy Albany movement, Cuomo had repeatedly requested publicly that the 11 p.m. curfews in both Lafayette Park and Academy Park be enforced. Soares stanchly refused, infuriating not only the governor but many politicians from all over the state. Well know radio host and friend of Cuomo, Fred Dicker went on to blast Soares almost daily.
Soares has also been criticized for his bizarre prosecution of defendants from Florida for selling steroids to residents of Albany County through the mail. A case that is widely viewed as nothing but a self-serving publicity stunt by Soares.
David Soares also has acknowledged a longstanding intimate relationship with a junior female staffer whose siblings have been prosecuted on multiple occasions by his office. I bet Soares and Keith Raniere could get together and compare notes.
And now we have his relationship with NXIVM and Keith’s favorite gun moll and femme fatale Kristen Keeffe.
Now Kindlon is calling on the Attorney General to investigate NXIVM's and Kristen Keeffe’s role in trying to set up Joe O’Hara. Well I will just put up the whole documents.

after sharing your post of today on my FB page a long-time running friend who happens to be an Albany County politician (Guilderland Town Board) stated "its a hoax Kindlon just did it to get attention".
I promptly gave him an earful in a private message. I reminded him of the creative stories Pam Cafritz used to share with us runners about training for the Olympics (delusional because I'm no elite and she couldn't beat me) and that I've lived next to Cultville for almost 8 years. I added....if you are "in bed" with any of these creatures to unfriend me now.
The people of the capital district need to unplug and open their eyes as to what is going on right under their noses. Its no wonder this is not news outside of our area. Its like a scene out of a Stephen King novel where only the kids remember IT.
Lee Kindlon is a good guy, as is his father. But this was nothing more than a publicity stunt(not a 'hoax' as someone suggested). It's a stunt because Schneiderman will never investigate Soares or NXIVM, and Kindlon certainly is smart enough to realize that. And if he does, no one will know about the investigation unless or until he issues a report. A lot of hot air, in other words.
As for Soares' popularity, you are...well..sorely mistaken. I think the guy is a bum and should be thrown out of office. He's nothing more than a publicity hound who couldn't win a trial if his life depended on it. But I'm not an Albany County voter. And the Soares machine is very adept at getting bodies into voting booths to pull the lever. Kindlon is facing a very long, uphill battle to unseat him. To suggest otherwise is to show a blistering ignorance to the Albany political machine.
By the way, I was kind of disappointed that there was no mention of the striking picture of Valerie Keehn on the front page sniffing around for a place to live in Schenectady. Hilarious!
