Well first the good news. Dennis Brunelle is off the board of the Saratoga Springs Housing Authority. The Mayor will appoint his successor at Tuesdays City Council meeting. With that out of the way I begin.
Thought I would check out per-agenda meeting at City Hall. First Skippy didn't make an appearance but no one seemed to notice
Michele Madigan showed up at the meeting looking like a left over from an early morning cocktail party. Wearing a very revealing black blouse at the council table I was shocked to see a nipslip at the table as Madigan bent forward. Really Michele leave the Victoria Secret look for home will ya?
Anyway things got off to a tenacious start as the Mayor and Madigan spared over dueling agendas for the purchase of land on the Kayaderosseras Creek from the Blodgetts . Madigan at one point said to the Mayor “says you” as this exclusive video shows. Thankfully the Mayor DID NOT respond ‘YA SAYS ME”

Repair work all in the family
HEREOn a more serious note there is a very serious argument taking place about how knowledge of buyout talks for Ed Spychalski's contract made its way to my blog. Since I am part of this story I will explain how I received the info.
I was told by a second part that Michele Madigan had told them that Al Colucci had given her that info. So it ended up here.
Today at the pre-agenda meeting both Al and Madigan were asked point blank by Dennis Yusko if Al had told her that. There is no delicate way to put this, but Al and Madigan are both calling each other liar.
And finally for the first time the name Wickes construction was brought up by the Council in regards to the SSHA by John Franck. It’s not Wickes construction but Wickes Enterprises, a pool outfit out of Mechanicville New York.
Seems there are some questions about how much work they have been doing around the SSHA properties. Seems the pool business had taken a toll on this company in the recession but they did get the job of putting a nice pool in at Housing Director Ed Spychalski’s house. Now people are questioning if the owner might be Ed’s wife’s nephew.

Once again, Franck delivers for We the Lowly Taxpayers. It is FRANCK who picked up on the JT Auto Repair scam. It is FRANCK who sees something amiss in digging around some mucked-up pool business. Madigan is taking her marching orders from Finneran. That is why she is being so confrontational on the Council. This will doom any chance she has for reelection or higher office but it will make for more interesting council meeting

It's hard to disagree with the supple curves of Madigan's argument.

I don't understand the controversy over what went up on your blog about the SSHA dealings. I would have thought Al Colucci would have seen it as his obligation as a representative of the people to tell us or at least the city council members what went on at the illegal secret meeting they held. What loyalty does he have to those who approve of nepotism, don't follow their own salary guidelines for the exec Director, allow the Exec. Dir, to violate civil service law, tell low income residents they can't afford to deal with the bedbug problem while sitting on $3 million etc., etc. Why would he want to protect their secret dealings instead of airing them in the light?? I just don't get him. Thank you , John, for putting what we need to know out there. Your friend Al would do well to follow your noble example.

Yeah Matty is soooo smart. She is doing a FOIL of Housing Authority when she could have got all the info for free. Yes she set up two separate meetings to investigate their books with their consent. Both times she blew it off. First time she had a headache(Hangover) and the second time she just plain forgot. Very bright is this one. At least Christine Gilmett Brown showed up in her place.
