UPDATES UPDATES UPDATES

I had my CT scan today. Everyone at the hospital knew who I was. I must say I was treated as a celebrity, a grade c celebrity but I’ll take it. Again I can’t thank everyone enough. Chris Churchill of the TU, Congressman Gibson and special thanks to Jim Combs, from Adirondack Radiology who offered to do the CT for free {the test costs 5k so that was no small offer}. I will update my readers when I have the results.

David Soares Update
And another update

TU Exclusive: Soares censured for criticism of judge

http://www.timesunion.com/local/article/Exclusive-Soares-censured-for-criticism-of-judge-3582767.php
Sores got slapped around pretty good in that one. Remind me Albanian why did you vote for this guy?

As Pete Seeger would say, “When will they ever learn? When will they ever learn?”

And as Nixon taught us a long time ago, “When it comes to government, the cover-up is almost always worse than the crime.”

As originally reported in the Times Union yesterday, Albany County DA David Soares’ ex-stripper girlfriend, Stacey Quackenbush (God, I love that name!) was “transferred out of the district attorney’s office and taken a new post as a legal secretary in the county’s Department of Human Resources.” Well, the papers were barely delivered when the TU had to start making “updates” on its web version of the story.

The first “update” came out early yesterday morning after TU readers started raising questions about the job transfer: “Quackenbush received a permanent civil service appointment (as opposed to temporary) from a list generated by an April 2010 exam. The pay, according to Rozak, is the same as her job in the DA’s office.”

The second “update” came out after more readers asked more questions about what was obviously a bullshit solution to a bullshit problem that never should have happened in the first place “Quackenbush didn’t so much transfer jobs so much as her job was transferred to another department. In other words, according to Rozak, Quackenbush has been re-assigned to HR, where she’ll report to the acting HR commissioner but still be paid under the district attorney’s office’s budget. That’s why, Rozak said, there is no legal secretary position in the 2012 HR budget.

The long-range goal, as County Exec Dan McCoy’s plan to consolidate the various legal jobs around the county into the County Attorney’s office continues, is that Quackenbush’s job will eventually be incorporated into the Law Department and its budget, Rozak said. McCoy’s administration discussed that very topic — in broad terms — with the legislature’s Law Committee last night.
“The HR department is really pretty lean, so when we’ve needed that additional back-up,” she said. “It is all part of a bigger picture.”

Asked whether the county executive had the authority to make such a transfer without the authorization of the County Legislature, Rozak said “it’s our understanding he can.”She said no one in the HR department was displaced by Quackenbush’s move and that’s likely that the DA’s office will eventually receive another employee in return, like a baseball trade. This is what we Yankees fans might call the A.J. Burnett deal. Or for you members of Red Sox Nation out there, like the Rhode Island-bred DA himself, the Julio Lugo Transaction.

TU readers have continued to express doubts about the legitimacy of Quackenbush’s job transfer. Their comments can be accessed at:
http://blog.timesunion.com/localpolitics/11893/da-david-soares-girlfriend-lands-another-county-job/#comments

My own comments on this latest flap about the NXIVM-loving DA:
(1) Stacey better damn well have one of the top three scores on the Civil Service exam she supposedly took back in 2004. (Unless it was an oral exam, in which case she may swallowed the results).
(2) I’m sure the fact Albany County Executive Dan O’Connell’s sister works in Soares’ office has nothing to do with Stacey’s transfer.

And finally some more of my own opinions. Feel free as readers always are to disagree.

By now most readers are aware of this shocking crime in Saratoga Springs.

Man arrested for attempting to kidnap, rape woman on Saratoga Springs street Tuesday morning HERE

Antonio Lopez-Bautista, 18, of South Federal Street, is an illegal immigrant, who was charged with second-degree attempted kidnapping, first-degree attempted rape and second-degree assault, all felonies, as well as criminal obstruction of breathing or blood-circulation, a misdemeanor all against a 67-year-old woman.

This man is the worst kind of scum and will be given 30 years then deported. Reading the comments on the Saratogian website is disturbing. Once again people are spreading messages of terror and hate. This time instead of the Caroline bar hoppers, it was the vast horde of illegal workers who have come to rape our pets, eat our children and force grandma to cook rice and beans or some shit like this.

This was a horrible crime. There are thousands of invisible undocumented workers in our city. They wash dishes, clean horse shit and have a very low crime rate. My grandparents came to Saratoga by way of Ireland to work on the backstretch, later the Irish were replaced by blacks and now the blacks have been replaced by Hispanics. Whoever is low man on the totem pole washes the horse’s ass.

Don’t let fear and misunderstanding drive Public Safety Commissioner “toothy” Christian Mathiesen to launch a new crusade against Saratoga’s Hispanic community.
I applaud this 67-year-old woman who saved her own life and made no mistake she did.

Now I’m going to give you the truth about personal safety.
Something the Cops never will
Saratoga Springs is a safe town.

In the end crime happens, along with fires, accidents and sudden illness. You are your first line of defense. Building on fire? Get the fuck out. People who waited to be saved by the fire dept had a nickname when I worked in the morgue at Saratoga Hospital “crispy critters”.

Attacked? Scream, yell, fight back. Don’t allow yourself to be dragged into any vehicle, you will die. Your attacker is hoping you will acquiesce like a sheep. We call those people "missing persons”
Learn CPR and first aid. Take a course on how to use a defibrillator. The hospital and the Red Cross give them for free. You will find a defibrillator in almost every public building. Yea call 911 but don’t let your loved one die while the fireman are in the checkout line in Price Chopper.

At home get to know your neighbors. They are your eyes and ears. Buy a dog and a gun, learn to use it, join a Rod and Gun club it’s fun. I go every week. Just in case you think the Government can protect you
Here is a FACT “toothy” Christian Mathiesen doesn’t want you to know
Every year in America, 6,000 killers get away with murder.
The percentage of homicides that go unsolved in the United States has risen alarmingly even as the homicide rate has fallen to levels last seen in the 1960.

Despite all the dramatic improvements in DNA analysis and forensic science, police fail to make an arrest in more than one-third of all homicides.

I can name 5 unsolved murders in the last 30 years locally off the top of my head.
Sheila Shepherd 1980
Pam DeVizzio 1983
Tammie McCormick 1986
Robert Ford 1995 in the East Side field was unarmed when shot to death by police {in my book a murder}
Marie Hammond Milton 2003
Christina White Geyser Road Milton 2005

You want to know why sex attack victim Melissa Diggins isn't on the list?

She fought back and lived.
Hernandez-Perez attacked and pistol-whipped a 24-year-old Melissa Diggins on Walnut Street before forcing her into his van where he ordered her to undress. But more than 10 miles into the drive, the woman darted from the rear of the van and jumped out of the passenger side door.
She saved herself, if she waited for the police to help her, well one more name on a cemetery tombstone

Now don’t you all feel safe?

Their was an article in the post star a few months ago about a (I think) 3 time deportee who was well known by the police in greenwich and kept coming back there after being deported.
This time he put his hands on a 10 year old girl at a sleepover party, his girlfriend helped him escape by hiding him with friends in stillwater but he was captured in NY city by the port authority police using someone elses identification.
He needs his dick cutoff and handed it too him to look at......

Hope your CAT scan results are good news. There is a theme here. Like the potential rape victim you fought back.

In the Diggins case there were actually off duty cops following the van and drove right by her when she escaped. What did they get? They got rewarded publicly as heros. What a joke that was.

"What about the old American social custom of self-defense? If the police don't defense us, maybe we ought to do it ourselves."

Paul Kersey is on the loose again, making it Death Wish XXVII.

I was getting tired of the reruns anyway, and Charles Bronson died.

I tell you ONE THING; I don't care if I'm living in Saratoga Springs OR in Buncoville, USA...if I am waiting for my hubby at 3:47 a.m., you better KNOW all the car doors WILL be locked! THAT was HER first line of defense, so forgive me if I have no pity for the victim here...NOR do I have pity for this undocumented kid who, by rights, should be deported and NOT be imprisoned & use our good taxpayer dollars when we can use them to imprison some American thug! I am the staunchest of advocates for the Hispanic peon workers in this burg, and yet we ALL know that we even have white thugs, and black thugs. So, don't be high-horsin' about all the criminal Hispanics;every race has its' bad element. MAYBE, just maybe if Saratogans would give a smile while walking past the Hispanics, or a nod of the head...SOME kind of recogniotion that they are part of our human race, they wouldn't feel so marginalized or bitter at us;I go out of my way sometimes to just smile - on a bus, walking down Broadway or when they come out of the kitchen in a restaurant, to acknowledge that these people EXIST! Let's all be a little more NICE, ok?

Here's one for you... Saratoga cop by the name of Lewis who dropped back to patrol officer to work as many OT hours as possible to max out his retirement at the end of the year. He was seen on his second shift of the day today, pulling over an old women who may have coasted through a stop sign. He was a complete ass to this women who I gave my name to to allow her to contest the BS ticket he gave her. When I checked on him with one of his fellow officers, I got the OT scam info.

5:06 pm - How is that as bad as a Council member who has oversite of all property assessments and his personally owned properties which are several, are assessed lower than any other properties in their target areas? Who is watching him? You are worried about a cop who is looking to retire with a few extra bucks in his pocket when this public official is saving thousands and thousands by paying less than he should on his property tax. Especially when he is the sole judge on our taxes.

Anonymous said...

Well you can call the NYS dept of state and turn him in for his property and conduct...

The word you are looking for is Sole Accessor, also you can tell them about the John Breyo deal that cost the city lawyer fees at the expense of the taxpayers.

You should also know that is was Pat design and Skippy that told john frank to go after the people in meadowbrook to get more money to spend....since they have too much,,,belive me this is a fact....
