"The troubled insurance fund for 1199SEIU United Healthcare Workers East's personal-care workers will get a $70 million government bailout this year under a deal struck in Albany, the second taxpayer assist in less than a year for the powerful union's employee benefits fund.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo consented recently to prop up the union fund with about $50 million in Medicaid funding. The state Assembly—where lawmakers are closely allied with labor—pitched in with another $10 million drawn from a discretionary pool of Medicaid cash and disclosed in the budget. The Assembly contribution triggered a $10 million federal match"
As many faithful readers of this blog know 1199SEIU Greater New York health fund canceled my Health Insurance in the middle of my like saving cancer treatments. They have been reinstated for me and sixteen others.

Now I read another healthcare unit of 1199SEIU just received a “gift” of 70million from the government.
For those who like to follow these things 1199 SEIU UNITED HEALTHCARE WORKERS EAST gave $9,025,751 from 2003 to 2012 to various politicians. Seems to a cynical eye like me they paid off the right ones going back to Joe Bruno but you can see the list here.

I think these are the creeps who were the biggest contributors to Barkbark Hussein Karl Marx Obama's campaign. My recollection is that the gave about 27 MILLION DOLLARS.
After their "contribution" Obie Wannabe a Bball Player promptly EXEMPTED them from OBAMACARE....They don't have to collect the money or give their members the benefits.
This BAILOUT is emblematic of UNION FAILURE in general. The Unions were formed to protect workers. Now they screw 'em.
Of course most UNION BOSSES are still quite plump.
