Inside sources {that means multiple} have told me that the SSHA board has called a special meeting for Monday for two agenda items. Seeing the writing on the wall, that Spychalski’s and Brunelle’s days are numbered they will attempt an end run play {a maneuver in which impediments are bypassed, often by deceit or trickery}
1. They will site an obscure NY State law that in their interpretation allows Dennis Brunelle to stay on as an interim board member or even Chairman till a successor is chosen to replace them.
2. With this Palace coup in place they will attempt to buy out the remaining four years of Spychalski’s contract to the tune of $600,000.
The Board and Spychalski have become increasing desperate as Brunelle runs out of time. The 5 year term of Brunelle’s is over tomorrow night at midnight and there is NO CHANCE he will be reappointed. Spychalski has been said to be a raging bull this week after I detailed him using his brother for vehicle maintenance. I have also been told that his son Jonathan has made verbal threats against me claiming he’s going to “Kick my Ass”. Well son you going to have to take a number as I believe Keith Raniere and Geri Loya were ahead of you.
Seriously I have been threatened by bigger and badder than you could ever imagine. Johnny boy don’t blame me, try blaming daddy for dragging your whole family into this corrupt and sorted tale.

Well today blog fans I turn my laser like spotlight on Saratoga Springs DPW femme fatale Geraldine Loya, aka Geraldine Dumortier, Geri Dumortier or Geri Loya.
So let’s take a look back at Geraldine Loya’s life to see how at the age of 64 she landed this payday. Flashback to August 1974 when then husband the late George Dumortier age 29 plugged the 26 year old with a 22 slug in the chest.
He shot her for reasons unknown at the Apartment they shared in 114 Caroline St on a hot afternoon at 12:15pm on August 29 1974. Kind of destroys the “tooth fairies” Chris Mathiesen view that the Saratoga of the past was a sleepy little halcyon town. Really Chris the same summer Loya was shot we had drug wars in Jefferson Terrace, two strip bars {Victors on Caroline and Neutral Corners on Ash} and a long catalogue of social ills in the city.
But I digress. Loya almost died and was rushed to Albany Med where she made a full recovery.
Her personal life on the other hand continued to be troubled. On 07/09/1990 Loya filed for personal bankruptcy having her debts wiped clean in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy discharge on 10/16/1991. This was her second lucky break, but her life would go seriously wrong in a few more years.
On the night of April 19 1998 two city residents were arrested on a Sunday morning in a drug raid by city police and the State Police Community Narcotics Enforcement Team. The pre-dawn raid on 75 Washington Street Apt4 that Sunday, led to the arrest of two people on felony drug charges and police confiscated $2,000 worth of cocaine and more than two ounces of marijuana. Their names Geraldine A. Loya, 48, and Donald A. Pickens, 25. This was some serious shit.
Loya managed bail and somehow was able to move into 17B-4 Jefferson Terrace despite the fact she was an alleged Crack dealer and charged with 3 felonies.
Her luck ran out when she was convicted of felony drug possession charges and was sentenced to 1 1/2 to 4 1/2 years in state prison.
But that was just a minor setback for the ever resourceful Loya. Upon her release from State Prison she came back to her hometown Saratoga Spring and convinced then Commissioner of Public Works Tom McTygue to give her a second chance in life. McTygue who always had a soft heart for a sob story and believed in redemption gave her the second start.
Years later she became one of the main campaigners for Anthony "Skip" Scirocco in his successful campaign to defeat McTygue, the 30 year incumbent Commissioner of Public Works. Loya went on to become a favorite of Scirocco. She became a common figure watering flowers on Broadway and to some a symbol of the overpaid DPW laborer, when people realized the unskilled convicted felon was pulling down 47k a year.
Her taste in men continues to be questionable as she lives with fellow DPW laborer Ricardo Falcon-Diaz, living with the much younger man in a home they share at 133 W. Circular St Mr. Falcon-Diaz a former groom at the race track became acquainted with the then Commissioner of DPW Tom McTygue after a brutal fight that left him in the hospital with a broken jaw, he was also given a second chance at life and was hired by a sympathetic McTygue. He later became an outspoken supporter of Commissioner of DPW Anthony “Skip” Scirocco. No wonder Geri and he found each other. Falcon-Diaz is also no stranger to the law being arrested in 2010 at the City Garage at 3pm May 5 2010 on a charge of indecent exposure after it was alleged he urinated on a West Circular St. residence. The charge stems from an incident at 7:30 p.m. on April 26 2010.
I also have been told by numerous City Garage insiders that Falcon-Diaz has failed several drug tests and is being counseled.
Now to get back to where this all began, things were going along just nicely until last summer July 2011 when Loya fell-slipped- whatever on Lake Ave while undertaking the dangerous task of watering flowers. According again to numerous sources, this led to her collecting Workman’s Comp for injuries to her hand through October 2011. On her return to work she was given an assistant to put out a footstool for Loya to use whenever she exited the pickup truck{ no I’m not making that up}. Seems Commissioner Anthony “Skip” Scirocco is really fond of Loya.
Scirocco is also pushing for a promotion for Loya to Skilled Mechanic so she can hang around the DPW garage and act as Scirocco's eyes and ears to flush out any malcontents and inflate her last years earning to pad her pension numbers. Yes Skip Likes Geri
I also hear he had DPW crews replace her sidewalk at 133 W. Circular St. Neighbors also tell me of Loya bringing home DPW tools and left over city flowers for her yard. Really The Housing Authority ain’t the only thing that stinks in this town.
Now for the kicker. Loya was recently awarded a $60,000 Schedule Loss of Use Award by a Workers Compensation Judge. This award is for loss of use for her injured body part in this case her hand. Tax free by the way.
Well Little Geri certainly has had her ups and downs in life but I guess the victim in all of this is little Ricky Falcon-Diaz. No more hand jobs for him but 60K will buy a pretty good Crack fueled weekend

Correia beat his young wife to death and repeatedly bit her tearing off pieces of her flesh and then raped her battered body perhaps even after she was dead.
So why would the then-Assistant District Attorney pen a letter to the Rhode Island parole board to free this savage cannibalistic Homicidal necrophile? Turns out its his misunderstood cousin.

Well tonight was fun as Chris Mathiesen who for the rest of this story I will simply call the “The Tooth Fairy” made it quite clear what he thinks about Caroline Street.
1. Saratoga bars are out of control and dangerous
2. This was no workshop the “The Tooth Fairy” had made up his mind to go after Saratoga’s nightlife last year
3. He will do everything in his power to close the bars early and shut down any bar for the year that he deems excessively loud
I will let the videos speak for themselves. I will say the vast majority of the crowd was against “The Tooth Fairy”. There were the usual suspects who took no responsibility for their adult children’s actions but complained mightily that if the police had just been a better nanny their personal tragedies would have never happened. These augments are getting pretty old and while I lament the loss of life neither of their children were innocent victims. Harsh maybe but there is a price to pay when you’ve been a drunken idiot and sometimes that price is death. I also understand except by the grace of god I could have been killed in a drunken brawl in my youth. I can guarantee my mother would have laid the blame with me and not the Hub or the police or society. I’m sure a lot of people don’t like that comment but I don’t care, its time someone said it.
Most of the people were clearly against the “The Tooth Fairy”. I spoke on a couple points. One woman said people were cancelling their weddings in Saratoga due to the reputation of the bars. I pointed out that many people in this town were upset that Mazzone was scheduling $40,000 weddings at the Hall of Springs at the same time as Phish concerts at SPAC. I then mentioned Phish will be here for three nights and Dave Mathews for two and maybe Executive Director of SPAC Marcia White who made $300,000 last year should be at his little workshop.
I also pointed out that while he complains that DWI arrests are down in the city I pointed out that they are down statewide and unless he has empirical evidence that the number of DWI accidents are up, then his augment that he needs more cops for better enforcement is bullshit.
But I was wasting my time as was everyone else who disagrees with him. Mathiesen has made up his mind and he’ll never let a few facts get in the way of his agenda. I just hope the damage he is causing to this city can be minimized till he’s voted out of office
But then again if the bars are forced to close early Saratogians won't be forced to watch drunken scenes like this
Well Saratoga in Decline has received some maintenance records for Saratoga Springs Housing Authority vehicles.
I will say one thing about Eddie he has some balls. Not only does he use a garage on his home turf Watervliet J&M motors for thousands of dollars of service work but low and behold guess who owns J&M motors? Yep Eddies brother John. You just can’t make this shit up. So Ed picks a garage that is 54 miles round trip from the closest Housing Authority property that just by coincidence it’s owned by his brother. Looking at these bills I don’t think Eddie is getting a family discount.
All of this violates numerous HUD guidelines not to mention just like Ed the whole thing stinks.
I like to think I’ve had a fairly interesting life. Starting as a globetrotting teenage backpacker that developed into a life long love of budget travel, I’ve seen pretty much most of the world. I’ve also seen the world from the lower socio-economic scale than your average traveler. I’ve lived in tents from the Caribbean to Moorea, lived in huts in Africa and slept behind blast curtains in Bosnia. I’ve had the pleasure of staying with elderly pensioners in Estonia to students in Moscow. Yes I’ve stayed on boats in Viet-Nam to farms in Ireland. I’ve been threatened by British soldiers in Northern Island and Israeli troops in Hebron. I’ve seen the wrong end of an AK from Senegal to Mostar. I think it’s fair to say I’ve been around this block called earth a few times.
In employment I’ve driven trucks, buses and cabs. Pounded nails, paved roads and cleaned shit. I worked in parks and morgues and bathed the living and the dead in Saratoga Hospital. Funny I’ve also found a common decency among the working classes of the world. I guess you would say I believe in the dignity of honest work. These people and their families represent to me the greatness of the human spirit. I met a man, a Croat in Bosnia whose face showed the scars of a brutal life of menial labor capped off by a brutal war that killed half his family, but still he loved god and was grateful for life. He drew a long pour of Armenian Brandy and drinking a sip he looked at me with a weary smile and said that drink was a simple gift from god and he was content.
That brings me to the second part of my little essay. See my Croatian friend had found contentment in spite of witnessing unspeakable horrors in wars and still facing an uncertain future with the grave being the only guarantee in his life.
Then I come home to Saratoga and I drift through the spiritualist swamp in this town with swamis and gurus. One store on Broadway can put me in touch with my guardian angel or wave a wand above my abdomen and cure the cancer in me, all for a price of course.
We have god knows how many Yoga shops along with a different Massage Therapist for every day of the month. Mind you I’ve got nothing against a good massage and I understand Yoga helps many people and god knows one of my favorite things is a mineral bath at the State Park. But here in a City of 28,000 we have mediation clubs with nightly seminars on miracles, chi, and transcendence. I wonder what my Croatian friend who had buried half his family after their murder by Serbian Chetniks would say to a mind-body-spirit healing?
I believe that idleness and tranquility bring dissatisfaction of the soul. The more one is removed from the struggle of existence and the suppression of conflict the more dismal the aesthetic consequences. Struggle,friction, anxiety, fear– such things are all, quite literally the quantum test of one’s soul.
When people have attained all they need such as wealth and any pleasure is available to them their existence becomes empty and with no belief in god they turn to pseudoscience and shamanism such as Keith Raniere and NXIVM. Go beneath the beads and incense and Ayn Rand you will find empty people searching for something, anything to fill the emptiness that their unearned income has provided.
Next I look at the really COOL people who turned to Buddhism.
Down in Woodstock, NY there is a Buddhist monastery nested up a mountain (Karma Triyana Dharmachakra, or KTD) The monastery is also the official seat of the Karmapa, the traditional leader of the Kagyu lineage (also called the Black Hats). For those of you who don’t know these are the really cool Buddhists that celebrities like to flock to. To many cool people it’s like a heavenly world of happiness. The more I’ve traveled there I see it as a brew of un-Buddhist behavior. A lot of people {Saratogians} who are interested in Buddhism or have become Buddhist have a hard time accepting the dark side of Tibetan Buddhism.
In Thailand and Viet Nam I’ve always been struck by the parade of Saffron robed monks going out in the streets every morning to beg for alms. I’ve been even more moved to see the poor peasants share their meager incomes with the monks. Buddhism in Thailand and Viet Nam is largely of the Theravada school. The trendy and cool in this country tend to flock to Tibetan Buddhism such as this monastery.
Tibetan Buddhism has monasteries with hierarchies, titles, churches, inner and outer circles, financial dealings and political plays. What I am seeing is that people do not really understand what Buddhism is about. There is a big difference between the Buddhist traditional teachings and the Buddhism hierarchical structure in the form of monasteries, monks, lama's etc. I like many Buddhist teachings. They have a lot to offer and are very helpful to many people. I certainly have learned a lot from Buddhism, as well as from Christianity {Catholism}.But there is a dark side to the Buddhist monasteries.
I have studied religion for most of my life. I’ve read the Holy Qur’an the Torah & Nevi’im, the bible of course, but also the Tipitaka{ The Teachings of the Buddha}
Without boring my readers with technicalities the Monastery in Woodstock is the Karma Triyana Dharmachakra, the North American seat of His Holiness the Gyalwa Karmapa, head of the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism. Founded in 1976, the monastery features traditional teachings as transmitted by Kagyu lineage meditation masters since the 10th century. Got that? GOOD.
The Monastery is gorgeous, a Tibetan master painting adores the main temple, which houses a large statue of Buddha, among smaller statues and scrolls. The large shrine room is a marvel of art. It's what goes on behind the scenes that is disturbing to me .The staff, which live in the hotel building, consists mainly of people who have become homeless. At the monastery they have a place to live in return for work on the monastery. The Monastery has taken all their worldly goods which they freely gave. Fine that is their business. They are basically serfs
But what I don't like is the attitude that they have, like so many other people/visitors have towards the monks and lamas. The three lamas of the monastery and their family members have separate tables, and those tables had a special elaborate dining set. This fork had to be exactly positioned this way, and that spoon that way. Like the Queen of England came to visit. When they come into the dining room, everybody is overly polite to them, treating them as royalty. This is a bit much for me. Lamas and monks, regardless of their self-proclaimed ranks, are just like everybody else, human beings on the path to the discovery of the divine self or some crap like that. The Buddhist teaching say that we are all the same, we are all equal. Isn't it part of the Buddhist teachings to be detached of the ego and worldly affairs? To live in simplicity? Instead they are being treated preferentially, what is mostly the fault of the do good Westerners. I notice that some people who visit the Buddhist monastery look at the lamas as if they are semi-gods. This is a pitfall for most authority figures, like priests, swamis, gurus, Keith Raniere etc. The lamas of course like it, it is their power.
Being treated like medieval masters, they take advantage of their simple minded disciples who they see as cheap labor. They voluntarily become medeval serfs.
In the Lamas sleeping quarters they have hand-made special cabinets from the finest wood. Well, Buddha gave up his wealth and luxurious living in his palace, and lived a basic, simple life. Is a Wal-Mart closet not good enough? On the door that gave access to the stairway leading to the second floor where the lamas private quarters there is a sign. "Absolutely forbidden to go there!" Dare to peek into the corridor and you will see it has fancy carpeting and many very nice beveled glass chandeliers. Isn't there a better way to spend that money? Like helping hungry people in the community? Meanwhile the staff in the old hotel sleep in bunk beds, up to six in a bare room. I’ve been told there is only enough warm water for about three people to take a shower in the morning, the rest got cold.
Ask yourself is that what Buddhism is about? Westerners who idolize the Buddhist monks and lamas who still cling to their hierarchical positions, getting preferential treatment and cashing in on a lot of money and labor. While many of the self-impoverished workers receive government welfare checks amounting to $550 to $700 per month along with Medicaid. Why does the Woodstock government approve of this?
By the way, Buddhist monasteries in Tibet were not unfamiliar with accumulating wealth. Until 1959, when the Dalai Lama last presided over Tibet, most of the arable land was still organized into manorial estates worked by serfs just like Woodstook. These estates were owned by two social groups: the rich secular landlords and the rich theocratic lamas. Even a writer sympathetic to the old order allows that “a great deal of real estate belonged to the monasteries, and most of them amassed great riches.” Much of the wealth was accumulated “through active participation in trade, commerce, and money lending.” Drepung monastery in Lhasa was one of the biggest landowners in the world, with its 185 manors, 25,000 serfs, 300 great pastures, and 16,000 herdsmen. The wealth of the monasteries rested in the hands of small numbers of high-ranking lamas. Most ordinary monks lived modestly and had no direct access to great wealth. The Dalai Lama himself “lived richly in the 1000-room, 14-story Potala Palace. At present, Buddhist monasteries are still rich. The Karma Kagyu sect has assets worth over 1.2 Billion dollars. When the Dalai Lama comes to Los Angeles, he stays in the Presidential Suite at the Huntington Ritz-Carlton Hotel, which normally rents for $3000 a day.
Well forgive me these simple observations by a uneducated blogger. But if by now you have lost track of what it is all about, look at the historical Buddha. He left his wealth, political power and palace, and lived in utter simplicity. In the end money or Guru’s like Keith Raniere can’t make you happy

WNYT SLAMS ED SPYCHASLSLI’S SALARY
This woman practically threatened anyone who criticized Ed Spychalski.
Brunelle states that despite the fact the Mayor has repeatedly inferred that he should not seek reappointment. he categorically states he wants not only to be reappointed to the board but he wants to continue as chairman. This leaves the Mayor no choice but to publicly humiliate the man when he is replaced in 10 days.
The board also said it wasn’t renewing the option on Spychalski’s contract which really means nothing as he still has four years left.
Ed’s wife the recipient of the board’s largess sings the praises of her husband Saint Ed, but of course she does living in a mansion paid for by your tax dollars that makes Keith Raniere’s home just down the road look like a shack.
Man if ever there was one group that needed a reality check it’s this bunch of loons.
The long awaited legal opinion on the City’s role in managing the SSHA was released Tuesday night. Prepared by the long tenured assistant city attorney Tony Izzo it states the city has a limited role in the running of the Authority.
I’m not a lawyer but I will break it down the way I understand. a. The Mayor appoints 5 of the 7 Housing Authority board members. b. The City Council approves but not set the Housing Directors salary. c. The Mayor can remove Board members for serious misconduct.
Feel free to correct this if you disagree.
Now the crux of the augment between the city council and the mayor is this. Did the behavior of the board rise to the level of willful misconduct so the mayor can remove them?
The Mayor argues citing case law that since the City has not formally asked them to come before the council to make corrected measures such as presenting the Housing Authorities Directors salary their misconduct doesn’t rise to the level to warrant removal. The rest of the council minus Skippy who has nothing to say strongly disagrees with the mayor.
The Mayor has sent letters to the Authority Board dump Housing Director Spychalski’s current contract and renegotiate it .He wants the Board to start coming to the council for approval of the Directors Salary.
Where do I stand on this you might ask?
Well if it was up to me Spychalski would be ridden out of town on a rail. Back in Colonial America the rail was intended to show community displeasure with the victim so he either reformed his behavior or left. Luckily for Spychalski it’s not up to me but the Board.I believe Spychalski is a little bully and a petty crook that made the big time. No more, no less a very common man that will sue the housing authority and the city the first chance he gets. The Man sued the Waterford Housing Authority when he was shitcaned for “cause” and sooner or later he’ll sue this authority and city, so just except it.
So the Board most go. Dennis Brunelle term is up April 1 the Mayor said in very diplomatic terms if he seeks reappointed it ain’t gonna happen{ Take the hint Brunelle bow out gracefully} .
So next Eric Weller the disembodied “voice” that’s looms above public meeting as he is spookily projected on the wall by Skype from some secure but unknown location should be gone like last year. I believe of all the board members this arrogant bastard is the worst. Now understand I don’t take these word likely and I have chosen them with thought. Wellers self-serving demagoguery sends chills down my spine. He has refused to acknowledge any mistake and bitterly resents anyone questioning any decision he has ever made. He reminds me of an unrepentant Stalinist who sees the gulags as a proper learning tool. Weller’s attitude might not rise to an impeachable level as a board member but it sure does as a human being.

One thing that is a reoccurring theme in my life is the Ex-NXIVM apologist. They seek me out for a variety of reasons. Some to explain how the “technology” was good but it was corrupted by Raniere or how their 5 day intensive gave them the courage to speak in public. I guess they somehow want me to validate their experience.
Well let me tell you it ain’t gonna happen.
Newsflash there is no “Technology” never was, never will be.
Sure you were taught a few psychological tricks that you could have learned for free with a library card and a few self-help books. You were conned plain and simple. Now don’t feel bad people are conned every day. As my struggling Ukrainian and Russian friends say who fight for every dollar they make. Johnnnn you fucking Americans are soooooo stupid. Harsh yes, but sometimes it takes someone who really works hard for their money to see a con man for what he is.
And con man is exactly what Raniere is as this exclusive video shows from the GURU’s younger days. Back then he was just a struggling alleged pedophile hanging around middle schools trying to make eye contact with vulnerable children while putting the skills he learned hawking Amway to good use. But even then it didn’t take long for his paper empire to fall apart.
See Raniere hasn’t changed, he’s still preying on the people who think if they just find the “right tools” or “Technology” they will be rich or happy or get laid more or even once, but in the end all NXIVM will leave you is a little poorer and hopefully a little wiser and the first step to that is admitting to yourself.

I on the other hand I wonder what Mr. Igtet's family feels about their son marring a Bronfman?

After I read this that a friend gave me just lost it honestly. I’m a fan of you until I found out you were in some cult and out drinking all the time. Do you really need some wannabe friend saying that you look good, oh yes Allison do this or not do that. What are you some robot that needs someone to always tell you what to do. Hello wake up girl and be you OWN person. I bet you can find some job out there for you.
