Saratoga Springs gun show epilogue: Selling your soul to Moveon.org and George Soros.

Pro-Gun
Anti-gun and someone who needs to visit 'Toothy"

I don’t really have a problem with Saratogians for Gun Safety. In fact I like Charlie Samuels{I even saw him smile when I yelled “42 dead on Skateboards last year” and “background checks for skateboards”}.
Happy skateboarder;.If it don't hurt you're doing it wrong
Susan Steer and her husband Bob Turner on the other hand are capitalizing on a tragedy to make a run for office. But for the most part they are well meaning, just extremely misguided folks.
Ron Kim
Charlie Brown and  David Soares
I also like Saratoga Peace Alliance. That group has been kicking around forever and during the run-up to the George Bush's bullshit invasion of Iraq I protested with them. That was when the invasion had a 75% approval rating. How gullible people are when they’re afraid.

Of course if their goal was to cut down the number of guns sold in the city, they were dismal failures. A sleepy little gun show in upstate NY just became the upstate leader in one day gun sales. And you can thank the Saratoga Peace Alliance and Saratogians for Gun Safety for making this possible. Well done Charlie. I’m thinking of selling a couple of my guns. Because of you and people like you, my small investment in quality firearms made decades ago are now worth a small future. Maybe I’ll buy that Maserati that goes 180mph.
The crowd without the protesters today

But the focus of this story is on the pandering of local democrats with the corrupt and disgraceful Albany DA David Soares, Moveon.org and billionaire George Soros. You can read the in-depth story I wrote about David Soares below

I was at the gun show from 9 till 5 both as a blogger and as a pro-gun advocate. I never saw Billy McTygue, Public Safety Commissioner ‘Toothy”Christian Mathiesen, Saratoga Springs Supervisor Joanne Yepsen, Charlie Brown Democratic Committee chair, Ron Kim, Al Turkheimer, former democratic chair{at one point he tried to take my camera but Police stopped him} until the Moveon-George Soros, David Soares circus rode into town at 2:00. Than the pandering, ass-kissing behavior was shameless.
Al Turkheimer blocks my camera

At one point Billy McTygue told me “John the anti-gun people are all local” Ya Billy, I guess Moveon.org and occupy Albany and David Soares are all “local". You out of your fucking mind? Looked at your face lately? Tell me instead of crying you went to Newtown three days after the shooting to “help” why didn’t you go to NY after Hurricane Sandy where you could have really helped? I thought you were running for DPW but have your delusions of grandeur driven you to believe big things are coming your way? Dreams that come out of bottles never work out too well, same goes for you Joanne {and I’m not the only one who noticed} And Billy your friends, you know Moveon, Pat, Kim and Finneran all helped to kick your brother out of office.

On to Saratoga Springs Supervisor Joanne Yepsen. You do realize that even Andrew Cuomo has no use for the steroid fueled bulk of David Soares. David tastes also run towards young strippers. But what I find really amusing is why do you keep talking credit for Madigan’s strengthening of the gun show resolution? I was there Joanne, Madigan strengthened the resolution not you. I could see Mathiesen turn beet red from anger too when she did. Now twice, on Fox 23 news and at the moveon.org clusterfuck you deliberately took credit for what someone else did at the expense of Madigan.
That brings me to Public Safety Commissioner ‘Toothy”Christian Mathiesen. He of course lied and thanked Yepsen for changing the resolution she never did {I think this was a conspiracy to somehow punish Madigan}. Than never allowing a tragedy to be wasted he told the crowd that “guns protect no one, that only a large well-armed police force can".
Now let’s look at some of the minor players and their amusing words.
Betty Head of Altamont
Betty Head of Altamont, council organizer of Moveon.org {one of those local people Billy?} telling a Heckler.
Betty Head"This isn’t a dialogue.”
Heckler; “I thought you said it was?”
Betty Head; “No we meant a dialog in the county not here”

Rev. Thomas Mikelson leader of the Saratoga Unitarian Universalists.

Rev; “guns in homes aren’t safe, get a dog to protect you{I’m not making this up}"

Me yelling;"Background checks for pit bulls”

I was only half kidding.Don’t get me wrong, I love dogs and have owned dogs and cats my entire life, but the Center of Disease control released its study and humans killed by dogs. The deadliest breed Pitbulls. In the 8-year period of 2004 to 2011 pit bulls killed 140 Americans, most children.
Some notable deaths from 2011

Makayla Woodard, 5-years old, was killed by two pit bulls while in her front yard. Her grandmother, Nancy Presson, was severely injured trying to protect her.

Kristen Dutton, 9-years old, was bitten in the neck and killed by a 98-pound Japanese akita

Darius Tillman, 15-days old, was mauled to death by the family pit bull as he lay sleeping.

Vanessa Husmann, 3-years old, was mauled to death by her grandfather's two rottweilers that were being kept at her home.

Annabella Mitchell, 7-months old, was mauled to death by the family's pet rottweiler, named Hannibal.

Jayelin Graham, 4-years old, was brutally killed by a family pet whose owner dubbed a "monster dog."

Salvador Cotto, 6-months old, was killed after a dog bit him on the head while visiting the home of Charles and Erin Teets

Michael Naglee, 11-months old, was killed by a family dog while visiting the home of his paternal grandparents, Betty and Robert Naglee.

James Dowling, 4-years old, was killed by a rottweiler while visiting the home of his grandfather in Ozark.

Addyson Camerino, 9-days old, was mauled to death by a group of dogs inside his Clarkton home August 30.

Brayden McCollen, 2-weeks old, was badly injured by the family pit bull-mix. The attack occurred
in the 16500 block of Cypress Bridge Drive in Northwest Harris County.

Nevaeh Bryant, 20-months old, was killed by three pit bulls while visiting her aunt, Erica Hobdy.

Mya Maeda, 11-days old, was snatched from her bassinet in the middle of the night by the family dog and fatally injured.

So Rev why don’t you stick to something you know about?

But in closing why would these local politician kiss Moveon.org and by extension George Soros ass? Money! Moveon takes care of its friends. Unlike Charlie Samuels, Billy, and Yepsen and Toothy need money for upcoming campaigns to remake Saratoga in a Utopian paradise. That and there will be a lot of money left over to pay some bar tabs.

But you know what pissed off Yepsen and Toothy the most?
The New York Times did a Story on the Gun Show and didn’t mention them. HERE
I would also be amiss if I didn’t thank the Saratoga Springs Police. They performed admiralty with good humor and patience all day. Thank you.

Saratoga in Decline

What is it all coming to, I ask?

Then it hit me:
http://www.lesmiserablesfilm.com/videos.html

"But the tigers come at night,
With their voices soft as thunder."

Dare we not learn from history?
Are we so arrogant to think otherwise?

Thank you, John.

No mention in the New York Times..ahh, too bad.

There is also an unwritten rule that a name is NEVER to be mention on the property where the dredging will soon take place.

Note to Charlie.you keep saying that we live in a post Newtown world like we live in a post 9/11 world.
All that means is its alright to hate and kill Muslims. That we gave up our rights to the patriot act out of fear.
That bigotry and hate was OK.
Now you want to do the same thing again? But now instead of Muslims you hate gun-owners?
You should be ashamed of yourself.

Anytime you see BULLY McStooge around ya know it is all bullshit he must be running out of money and can't pay the mortgage on his rather large condo he bought before his brother got booted... he is a sellout and will always be one...

I would be in a good mood too if I were getting time and a half to stand around at a gun show.

I certainly hope that Michele Madigan is taking notice of this and her proud advisors who will go to any length to use people as pawns until they finally see the light and become their own person. To use the death of 20 young children to create personal political agendas in so hypocritical and shameful it almost leaves me speechless. To think thta people even vote for this group leaves me with a sour stomach and yes even anger. They may win elections but as human beings they are losers. Two divorcees and two men with Physchological disorders. You can't make these things up!!!

Ask yourself an question. Would a Saratoga Police Officer prefer to work in Albany or Schenectady or would a Albany or Schenectady Police Officer prefer to work in Saratoga Springs? When was the last time a gun was used as a crime or a police officer was shot at in Saratoga Springs. This attention that is being created for political purposes just might put a thought into the mind of a mentally disturbed individual and create a major incident here. That would be the worst result. I have worked with people with phychological disorders and really no one specifically knows what triggers these events of outrage.

Billy and Yepsun are a perfect pair,by them hitching their political futures to the Sandy Hook tradgeys'is sinful, isn't Billy Mctygue an entertainer of sorts...that explains why he's only around when the cameras are rolling, they'll eventually stab each other in back,it's what they do best, just ask cheryl keyrouse.

A letter to the editor in Sun. Jan 13th Saratogian by Mr. Gary Hasbrouck explains very nicely what Ms.Yepsen knows about the Maplewood Manor, she really is dumb, talk about being an "Empty Skirt".

Hey this is America.
In most cases the majority rules.

If American decide they want 100% of gun buyers to have a background check or these high volume magazines taken off the market, or fully automatic guns to be banned, or other safety measures implemented so be it.

You can argue your case one way or the other but the outcome will be determined by the numbers.

@6:28- if I'm not mistaken, the last "shots fired" call was the guy who shot himself in the leg while loading his gun about a year ago. Before that, it was a similar call, almost 5 years ago now, for the guy in the Adelphi.

In this day and age of electronic commerce, it seems like the simple, and most efficient solution would be to create a "pay pal" type site for weapon sales and transfers.

If you want to buy or sell a gun in New York State, you go through an accredited site who will document the transfer, and check that both parties are citizens in good standing and possess the proper paperwork and permits.

The easiest way to set it up would be to do something similar to our recycling program, where we rely on gun retailers to handle to the transaction, and get a portion of whatever the cost is as compensation.

On top of the compensation, the gun retailers would get increased foot traffic, by having both parties come into their store. The cost shouldn't be much of a problem, if the system had access to all registered gun owners, it would be a simple case of documenting the transfer.

In a perfect world, we allow this system to slowly take over multiple aspects of fun regulation. One computer program that citizens can use to register and renew permits, purchase hunting licenses and tags, and documents and regulates all fire arms transactions.

Not only would this system give more complete documentation, but once it's created, we should be able to reduce government overhead, as we'll now only need a smaller group to run and regulate the system, the bulk of the "labor force" is provided by the gun retailers, who are compensated per transaction.

I can say with little question here both sides of this 'debate' are blisteringly ignorant. Being spotted at these 'protests' is akin to placing a gigantic 'I'm with stupid' sign on your chest with the arrow pointing upward.

If so-called 'anti-gun activists' --I use quotes because I don't think there's anything active about them --really want to affect change, then maybe they should start questioning the number of guns being produced each day. Once they roll off the assembly line, you're a bit too late; that gun is going to be in circulation for likely the next century unless in the off chance its used in a crime and later destroyed.

Contrary to what these people often proffer, there are many more responsible gun owners than there are irresponsible ones. And the irresponsible ones are largely located in the inner cities, where they chew each other to pieces and not the local elementary school. This is a sad reality and it's one that doesn't conveniently fit into the mantra touted by the so-called activists last weekend at the city center. And that basically means their whole argument is somewhat bogus, if not rooted deeply in a falsehood.

Now I got a special circle in hell for the so-called 'pro-gun' people propagating NRA propaganda. That includes this asinine notion that owning a gun or an arsenal will somehow preserve your right to overthrow the government as if it were Revolutionary times all over again; that guns would have someway stopped the holocaust in Europe; or any number of tragic records of the government brutally putting down a populist movement. Hey dimwits: It's the 21st century and we live in a country that has more weapons than anywhere on earth. And most of those weapons are in the hands of the government. If someone is ignorant enough to believe that their AR-15 will somehow overpower a Bradley tank or a drone with enough firepower to reduce the Spa City into a pile of ashes, then they really have no business toting around a gun. That's an irresponsible level of ignorance.

Likewise, I love how the conversation about gun safety quickly shifts; how suddenly we're comparing the safety of guns with the safety of something like a car or a hammer or a dog(no offense JT). There's NO comparison here and the nature of this argument is one of distraction. This is something directly from the gun lobby's play book: Distract, obfuscate, and then change the subject. It's been increasingly effective among an increasingly fickle society that has difficulty sitting through a one minute advertisement, much less a complex argument with many nuances and twists.

Bottom line, I would have rounded up every single person at the so-called rallies and catapulted them somewhere deep into the heart of the Atlantic. America, especially at this stage in its history, doesn't need this kind of ignorance.

It's ignorant to believe that any nation is out of the realm of a revolution, and naive and ignorant to believe all factions and people in control of the military weaponry would sit idly by and kill their fellow Americans.... Those in control of the weaponry have their views, their morals, and their ethics....
If a revolt were to take place, I think it is safe to say their would be tanks and drones lining up on either side, and a well organized faction armed with only ar15's may be able to take down a military instillation....

You would pray that it never come down to it, and the chances are unlikely, but to say this is the 21st century and revolts cannot and will not happen, is pure naievity and ignorance....

So, it's that time of year again -- time to get my business's liability insurance renewed. I wanted a second opinion and guess what? I found some guy calls me and says he'll review it for free! (Imagine that? -- sarcasm) Yeah, okay. What do I got to lose?

He asked these questions:
1. Do you smoke? (what does that have to do with my business lability policy I asked?) I said no. I'm lying.
2. Do you own a dog? Huh? I, indeed have a 90 lb. canine companion who we rescued from the pound because he was going to be put down for biting some kid-- He's a typical alpha male, a little high-strung, on edge, has incredible fast reflexes, can peg an asshole a block away, is unpredictable but he's pretty darn loyal-- as long as I feed him, rub his belly & let him out to do his business which includes harassing the neighbors on the fence line 3X a day. He's not fond of realtors. I said no.
3. Is anyone else besides you and your wife in your family planning on working either full or part time to help with your family business? And are they under 18 years old? Again-- what does that matter? I said no.
4. Did you ever have a claim against you and/or your business in the past? Yeah, a dog bite (the kid stole some stuff & the dog tore ass after him & nailed his ass, tearing his shirt but nothing came of it. His family was too poor-- no jew lawyer would take the case I guess for lack of revenue -- oh yeah-- and that state sales tax audit a few years back -- we had to inventory the entire store in 3 days. We worked the kids to the bone & my boy into a coma (he was 7 years old). I said no.
5. Are you and/or your partner on any special medical regimen that requires prescribed medication? You're fucking kidding me, right? No.
6. Are your firearms secured in a locked vault with ammunition located in a separate place? WTF? What firearms? (I figured the NRA decal on the door must have tipped him off.) If I say yes, do I get my insurance reduced due to the fact that if some asshole attempts to rob my place of business and I and/or my bride blow his head clean off with the Mossberg, plant his body parts on my wall with my wife's Kimber and allow the dog to modify his remains; thereby saving your company thousands of dollars in claims -- will that lower my premium? That's not how it works he said. I said: Go fuck yourself.

Well now, that went well.

So Whats Your Point and who's America are you talking about.

Their are millions of law breakers freely roaming my country living off my tax dollars with free food, medical care and education, why don't you round them up and catapult them back over the boarder...especially now when the cost of LIVING is so high and many legal citizens can't pay their bills...or are you ignorant to these facts it is on the news every day.....

With the air getting too thick in Togatown, I figured I'd get the wife & drive out to Schuylerville... do a cross the river & through the woods routine to Greenwich for lunch. There's an old favorite of our's on 29 at the Battenkill; downtown (Imagine that!) -- a cute little dive of a lunch spot with real home cooked meals. They had a hand painted paper sign in the window advertising All-You-Can-Eat Pancakes 8am-11am (can't wait to tell my boy) and for lunch: Hot-Chicken Over Biscuits. Yum! That's for me! I muddled on in and ask quite unabashedly; "What kind of chicken is this chicken special with biscuits?" They younger (eager to please) waitress replied: "Cooked. It's cooked chicken poured over biscuits." I kid you not. In my old age I thought 'Horn and Hardart' -- creamed left-overs. I had the chili. The wife had the cooked chicken. (She said it was superb.) Who says there ain't life outside Togatown? Oh, and we flew through a roundabout at Carmody Ford in Middle Falls and didn't even notice it was there. (The roundabout that is.) I'm glad I went. I got a nice soft cover for the Ruger at K-Mart. Money well spent.

From the Internet....

“A Wisconsin elementary school may once again serve as the venue for a local gun club's annual gun show, drawing the ire of some locals in the wake of the December shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn.

The Indianhead Rifle & Pistol Club has hosted the two-day event at Spooner Elementary School for the past 20 years, the Spooner Advocate reports.”

Oh, what a world.

At last some thoughtful, rational comments--thank you 10:53. I was amazed that demonstrators claimed they wanted a dialog. If they were sincere about that, the last place to choose was outside thegun show. I readtoday that both the NRA and Mayors Against Illegal Guns agree that those who lie or provdie inaccuarate information about their criminal histories onbackground checks, a felony, should be prosecuted. SOmething that is not happening very often now. Obama could start doing this now without the need of Congressional approval.
I would like to see the local Dems callupon the Obama adminsitration to instruct his Justice Department to enforce this. It would be start and something realistic that could be done right away and has the support of 2 groups on different sides of this issue.

I am 10:53,
Between your drivers licence number,, picture ID an your Social security number they know who you are.

I have never been refused any weapons sale,by anyone.

If you want to address a real problem address the FACT that their are 990,000 VA claims by wounded soldiers and the government and C-homo could care less,
just last week the Saratoga county VA rep walked out to sell power or something ,,,real nice way to treat people sent to war SO these POMPAS Saratoga wine sipping PANTLOADS can live FREE....

I will bet if their kids came back missing LEGS,EYES,ARMS,or mental means shit would change real fast...Where are there ANGELS IT HAS BEEN 10 FUCKING YEARS HAS IT NOT,,,THEY WERE SOMEONES LITTLE KID, AT ONE TIME WERE THEY NOT!!!!!!
If you want to protect your kids why not ask Judge Jerry Scarano why he changed the law to allow SEX OFFENDERS to live near schools, visit parks, playgrounds ETC where they can watch your children !!!and then do what they do best,it was in the paper last year, but he is a judge who cares..he can do what he wants...
