So the Albany gun show took place in the State owned convention center in the Empire Plaza and not a protestor in sight. There were record crowds though. The only illegal activity I saw {at least it should be illegal} was the price gouging by dealers. Really guns that sold for a hundred bucks going for seven hundred.  I just realized I’m sitting on a goldmine in my bunker. So the show went on without so much as whimper from the anti-gun crowd. No Yepsen or David Soares, no Move-on bullhorns. No fire breathing ministers or crying women, no one tried to stop me from talking pictures. Hell I stopped going to these things years ago because,one the prices suck and two they're pretty boring.

The goal of the Saratoga Peace Alliance and Saratogian’s for Gun Safety along with Moveon.org is much more than stopping gun shows in Saratoga. This is about downstate transplants flaunting their perceived superiority to the gun aficionados. They believe that they are better educated, enlightened and process a cultural and intellectual superiority to upstaters. They bathe in their downstate moral superiority. We need not tremble at imprecations from Susan Steer. Saratoga has seen her before and rejected her narrow-minded racist brand of class warfare,her proclamations of feigned outrage and hate towards those she neither understands or cares to.

The Susan Steer's of the world oppose guns at a primal level because they provide a way for citizens to exercise power without going through their managerial state. They have put their faith in a system of administrators based in courts and bureaucracies that mandate and enforce through state power and by extension through the police.She is growing her base to spread her brand of moral correctness. Through people like her husband Skidmore professor Bob Turner, they try to control academia. He has been extremely successful in indoctrinating young minds as his students overwhelming support of charter change proves. Fortunately the vast majority of Skidmore students are too distracted by fun and tests to give a rats ass either way. 

These liberals seek to regulate everyday behavior to be more in tune with their cultural sensitivities. Above all they are drama queens and part of Saratoga’s vast drama generation. They are devoid of humor or even irony as they deride gun owners for being rude and using inflammatory language in one sentence while in the next they claim that gun shows are akin to KKK meetings. A gun allows a citizen to take responsibility for his own security and the security of his family. To a Saratoga drama queen this is frightening because it means that a person is acting without ideological supervision or against their cultural norms. They demand  “training,” “education,” and “licensing,” in guns and most everything else. This is simply a way of asserting dominance over those that they see as intellectually inferior. The fact that this post contains multiple grammatical errors simply will serve to validate their dismissal of the view points of the author, me. Personally I find their utopian delusion that if guns would just “go away,” crime would end and the world would be a peaceful safe place childlike in its absurdity.

On a truly funny note a  community forum on guns and gun violence was held Saturday afternoon in Albany. Sponsored by Albany County DA David Soares, Albany Police Chief Steven Krokoff, Albany SNUG and Assembly member John Mcdonald, among others. The event was billed as an attempt to extend the "gun conversation" throughout the community. Guess what happened? Six adults and a baby showed up. I guess Albany didn’t get the memo from Susan Steer about how important this is.Don’t believe me. See video.
